Two different Git versions are used and the get fetch commands are

can help here.

Good catch!

Also git 2.34.1 uses the --force! I am not sure if Yoda is involved... ;-)

Maybe I will find time tomorrow to ask Infra.

We also need to remove it from the html file that was (originally) generated
from that xml file:

   I will do that now.

“Temporally” is indeed spelled correctly, but it is a wrong word in this
context. “Temporarily” should be used instead. The reader is being alerted that
the removal will not last for long or forever (see

Yes. The ucb WebDAV module was their only user, so using Curl as the
HTTP(S) library, allowed apr, apr-util and serf to be removed as
dependencies. The total size of the AOO binaries decreased by about 0.5%.

Curl has also turned out to be a lovely library, permissively licensed,
easy to build, exceptionally well documented, integrates well with OpenSSL,
and easy to upgrade. In cases where we needed to understand some internal
details, the Curl code was well structured and easy to understand.

Damjan

Yes, for AOO42X.

This is a cherry-pick of Damjan's work on trunk, so he may elaborate
further.

Apache APR and Serf remain a requirement of our AOO41X branch.

Oh right, on Linux pthreads is in a separate library, and internal OpenSSL

as well. Forgot about that case. Sorry.

Your patch looks good. Thank you.

Otherwise, we have to search for a visible slide backward.

2024-02-27 Thread Damjan Jovanovic
GnomeVFS was discontinued a long time ago, and replaced by GIO (and GVFS)
instead.

Luckily we support both. Pass --enable-gio and --disable-gnome-vfs to
./configure. And you can build OpenOffice without either of them, but it
would probably limit access to files on filesystems that those provide (eg.
on remote servers).

   Original comments from Pedro:

Minor cleanup to internal boost header packaging

We normally don't install all the headers available in boost. There is an
interesting set of functionalities like multiprecision and odeint that while
we
are not using, but would be interesting to have available.

This is done to ease future boost updates but also in the hopes of making it
possible to use this functionality in a near future.

   No functional change expected.

Hallo Herr Dr. Michael Stehmann,
Hallo Frau Mechtilde Stehmann,

"Apache OpenOffice"

bei den Chemnitzer Linux-Tagen 2024 angemeldet. Wir möchten Euch gern
in unser Programm aufnehmen.

https://chemnitzer.linux-tage.de/2024/de/programm/beitrag/change/127/5585df298e99d90cde5449fdea138c8a

https://chemnitzer.linux-tage.de/2024/de/programm/plakatgenerator/127/5585df298e99d90cde5449fdea138c8a

Bitte generiert euer Projektplakat sobald als möglich, spätestens jedoch
bis zum 28.2.

4. Standausstattung
---

Ihr bekommt von uns:

Posteraufsteller: 2
Aufstellerwand quer (für Beamerprojektion): 1
Tischfläche: 2 (80x80cm-Einheiten)
Stehtische: 1
Strom: 600 Watt

Leistungsaufnahme laut Typenschild an.

 * Samstag (16. März 2024): 08:00 - 18:00 Uhr
 * Sonntag (17. März 2024): 09

   > Did you try signing and verifying signatures with this build? That should
be a good check that everything works.

I could successfully sign a document with my recent build.
   [Signed
document.odt](https://github.com/apache/openoffice/files/14185138/Signed.document.odt)

An older (signed) document can be opened without warning and the signature
can be validated.

   > After some testing I have found a problem: I get a crash when I hide the
last slide, select it and start a presentation (by pressing F5). This does not
happen when there is only one slide.

It may crash due to those `>`. @Pilot-Pirx if you can:
   1. reproduce the problem on your build,
   2. change `>`  into `>=` and rebuild,
   3. demonstrate on your own computer that it does not crash any more,

then you are good to merge with the above edit.
