Fwd: buildbot failure in ASF Buildbot on aoo-win7

2014-10-06 Thread Kay Schenk
Hello all --

I committed some changes to helpcontent2 yesterday after a successful
build on my setup. Really they were pretty minor.

The linux-32 and linux-64 builds were completely successfully last night.
Linux-32 was a bit ahead of aoo-win7 in build time.

Does anyone have any ideas about what could cause a build error for
aoo-win7 and not the Linux builds?

I've never had a problem with this before. :(

The file trunk\main\helpcontent2\source\text\scalc\01\04060105.xhp has

I've got a more meaningful error message:

ID = bm_id3156256 is indeed duplicate, see line #70 and line #190.

It seems, that the whole section1 is dublicate.

Copy/Paste/Cut error?

You mentioned me in the commit message. But I don't remember. Can you
please point me to where I'm involved?

What are your configuration options for building to get this kind of
analysis? I'm apparently missing something important here.

Thanks for you help.

I'm not aware of any special configuration, but I log the building
output with

build --all 21 | tee logbuild.txt

When it is for debugging build breaks, I do not use -P4. It results in a
longer build time, but the output is easier to read, because it is not
shuffled.

Regina

OK. I do this as well every time. However, I did not get an error
message about the duplicate id. Nor did any of the changes I made cause
breaks in my linux build or the buildbot linux builds, so this is why
I'm asking.

All the builds use category b, and none use system supplied libraries in
the configuration near as I can see, so this is a great mystery to me.

I will try adding --verbose but still, none of the Linux builds failed
on this. :/

Thanks again. I need more tools.

If you're using the original Feature Pack, you may want to install
the Feature Pack Refresh instead. If you installed the Windows SDK
after installing the Feature Pack, it overwrites a few headers and you
need to repair VS to get the Feature Pack headers back (this is
documented in the Feature Pack release notes).

If repairing does not work, install Visual C++ 2008 Feature Pack Release from

I had a look at the build error.
It occurs in module sw due to a removed Slot and not exiting appropriate
build dependencies regarding such changes inside the module.

The current workaround - until the build dependency regarding Slot
changes are solved - is to make a clean build of module sw. This can be
done by performing commando 'make clean' inside module sw.

Best regards, Oliver.
