If you want to use a different operating system than Windows, try Linux or BSD. Ubuntu Linux might be a good choice for you. The operating system can be downloaded for free or you can even ask for a free CD. Hope this helps. [dev] Operating System discrepancy on www.openoffice.org website
I was advised this list is where website discrepancies should be posted. On http://download.openoffice.org/2.3.0/index.html just under the windows option there is text ( All versions (98)) indicating that the windows operating system must be greater than (or later than) windows '98 On page http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/sys_reqs_20.html it clearly states that windows 98 is an acceptable operating system for OOo2.3 Please advise if this issue should be directed elsewhere. /paul -- Processing Key for cracking HD DVD's: 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 - Try Torpark; a small portable, open-source, built on Firefox browser that enables anonymous browsing.
