[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-1807?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ] Frodo Looijaard updated PDFBOX-1807: Attachment: pdfbox-2.0.0-RC3-tabs_spaces.diff Attached a patch agains 2.0.0-RC3 that will resolve this issue, as well as handle tabs (they are expanded to spaces on the assumption a non-proportional font is used).
