Re: [s2] Struts2 confluence unaccessable

2006-08-11 Thread James Mitchell

Oh, forgot to mention, I deployed blank too...

http://struts.zones.apache.org:8080/struts2-blank/

When I run $mvn package -Pextras,apps those .wars are all I see.
What about showcase and starter? Can they be built as a .war? If
so, what's the switch arguments for it?

Well, I was meaning as a _temporary_ place so that people could
still work on the wiki while we work out any infra issues.

For example, could we host nightly builds of the example

there?

Well, we do so with Continuum (when it's up ;)

I say let's go for it.

Re: Where's Waldo?

2006-08-11 Thread Ted Husted

This week I've been updating materials for a Migrating to Struts
course that I'm presenting next week. (The course was orginally
written for WebWork.) The materials are all open source, and I hope to
use some of them to finish up the tutorials in the Struts 2
documentation. As mentioned elsewhere, we'll be moving the S2 wiki to
an ASF host on Saturday.

By the end of August, I'll be back to work on another .NET project for
at least six months. I can continue to help out with Struts2/Java, but
my attention will be shifting back to C# again.

My personal goal continues to be to help create a web framework
elegant enough to transcend languages, in the spirit of xUnit. As
engineers, we should be able to take our tools with us and not be
shackled by language-specific frameworks.
