[GitHub] [syncope] mmoayyed opened a new pull request #247: Auto-configure session tracking modes

2021-03-16 Thread GitBox

mmoayyed opened a new pull request #247:
URL: https://github.com/apache/syncope/pull/247

When running with initializr in separate servlet container, session tracking
modes are left to their defaults and `SessionConfiguringInitializer` backs
away, as it only affects embedded servlet containers. This makes both COOKIE
and URL modes available to the underlying response, which cause very strange
behavior with URL encoding and inclusion of `jsessionid` in the URL, which in
turn causes Spring Security to block the request as it sees `;` as a malicious
character.

In this patch, the behavior for `SessionConfiguringInitializer` is partially
emulated to set the session tracking modes based on configured application
properties.

Re: [DISCUSS] Google Summer of Code 2021

Good morning,

Hi all,

I would like also to suggest this feature introduced by Misagh here [1].

I think that this would be very helpful (mainly for developing
purposes, but not only) and useful generally speaking.

Basically the mentioned thread proposed 2 features:

1. Export individual items from console following persistence
   constraints imposed by DB structure.
2. Content editor (proposed by me as related to this work)

If you agree I can create an issue for point 1. Maybe it is too wide
for a GSoc project, but we can focus only on specific sections and
information (resources, connectors, conf parameters, etc.).

Best regards,
Andrea

[jira] [Created] (SYNCOPE-1621) Allow export for individual items in XML

2021-03-16 Thread Andrea Patricelli (Jira)
Andrea Patricelli created SYNCOPE-1621:
--

Summary: Allow export for individual items in XML
 Key: SYNCOPE-1621
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SYNCOPE-1621
 Project: Syncope
  Issue Type: Improvement
  Components: console, core
Reporter: Andrea Patricelli

Provide a functionality in the admin console (and from REST) that allows one to
view the XML configuration of an individual item. For example, an user would be
interested in seeing the XML representation of the new configuration parameter,
or it might be a user object, group, provisioning rules, etc.
