2020-05-17 Thread Emerson Castañeda
 Jonathan,

+1 non binding

I have build from sources and put emphasis testing tomee-embedded &
javaee-api

@Martin when I try to build using Java11, I get compilation errors because
corba dependencies (on openejb-client), what I would think is the expected
behavior without touching the code, does not it ?

Thank you

Hello Jon,

+1 (non-binding)

Tested with a large (& very loaded) web application that uses many
JAX-RS endpoints with both JSON & XML media types, that relies on the
embedded ActiveMQ & JMS and found no regression.

Hi All,

Short question: how can I unsubscribe from this mailing list?
I tried sending a mail to unsubscr...@tomee.apache.org but Google was not
able to deliver the mail,
maybe it's not available.

Thanks,

Hi all,

+1 (non-binding)

Tested with several projects (primarily web services, JAXB, REST…),
both on Linux & Mac OS, each under AdoptOpenJDK 11 (latest).

Thanks @Jon and all others who contributed to this (upcoming) release.

Repository "orgapachetomee-1167 (staging: open)" [id=orgapachetomee-

RE: [VOTE] Release TomEE 8.0.2

2020-05-12 Thread Stéphane Kay
Thanks Jonathan for your support;
Actually -newbie opinion- the download link would be even clearer if it was

https://repository.apache.org/content/groups/snapshots/org/apache/tomee/apache-tomee/8.0.2-SNAPSHOT/

By the way, why is there already a 8.0.3-SNAPSHOT ?
Is it a kind of parallel release ?
How can we check difference at this stage of release ?

Kind Regards

Stephen Kay

Its a fine question, and thank you for asking it. The Maven 'staging'
repository is always on the vote, to enable people to add it to their POMs and
test their projects with the new version. Once the vote passes (or
fails) the staging repository will disappear. I would definitely vote -1 if the
staging repository wasn't linked on the vote.

Snapshots are periodically pushed here:
https://repository.apache.org/content/groups/snapshots/ if you ever wish to try
them out.

I'm willing to update the website if there are gaps, but I don't think I'd
publish staging repos there, as the staging repo is really only enable the vote
to take place, and isn't meant to hang around for very long.

Re: [VOTE] Release TomEE 8.0.2

2020-05-10 Thread Alex The Rocker
Hi Jon,

Thank you very much for running this release.

I'll provide feedbacks ASAP.

Just my 2 cents : would it be possible to include in release notes the
list of fixed CVEs vs. previous (8.0.1) release?

I always felt that TomEE is missing something like Tomcat's security
page: http://tomcat.apache.org/security.html

Having this information clearly stated (vs. letting users to browse
JIRAs) would be a great sign of maturity for TomEE, I think...

Kind regards,
Alexandre

I've (hopefully) fixed those issues in the release notes. If there's
tickets I've missed, please shout.

Re: [VOTE] Release TomEE 8.0.2

2020-05-06 Thread Zowalla, Richard
The release log is a bit strange:
 - update javaee-api to 8.0-3-
SNAPSHOT (it actually includes 8.0-4)
 - johnzon / cxf upgrade is not
contained

However, tested it with my (EAR) applications. Works fine: +1
