Re: [Dev] Freezing MS, Jaggery and DS components for AS release

2012-07-27 Thread Kasun Gajasinghe
We have fixed the remaining issues in the integration tests. Now the
AppServer packs gets started successfully. :) Now, I'm doing smoke
tests on the pack. Shall we release this if the smoke tests passed?

Thanks,

For DSS, we have around 15 L1 + L2 issues, so I'm afraid Wednesday may
not be enough to resolve all of them and code freeze. So how about if we
code freeze by Friday and do an RC next Monday? ..

 Hi,

I'm getting the following NPE when running the integration tests of
AppServer latest pack in branch. Confirmed the issue with Madhuka.
This is a blocker for the AppServer RC1 release.
Was there any recent changes to the TenantLazyLoaderValve? I have the
appserver pack with me if anyone want.

 Appreciate a quick response.

Kasun,
This seems like a test ordering problem. On this particular test, we are
using a configuration populated elsewhere.
I did a minor fix. Please get svn up and see if things work for you.

[Dev] Testing C-App deployment on AS with GD on/off

2012-07-27 Thread Isuru Suriarachchi
Kicha, I've fixed the MT C-App deployment bug which was reported by
Charitha. Please test AS for following scenarios. Make sure you include a
webapp in the C-App to test directory based webapp deployment.

C-App ST - GD on/off
C-App Tenants - GD on/off

Test the UI as well in each and every scenario..

Thanks,
~Isuru

Re: [Dev] Directory based deployment in AS

2012-07-27 Thread Charitha Kankanamge
+1. Reported this bug when I noticed .meta directory in webapp list. After
that, we further tested to figure out that why it considered as a web app .
Then we identified that any directory under the webapps directory is
treated as webapps. So, if this is the default tomcat behaviour, we can
live with it. But please skip the .meta directory.

2012-07-27 Thread Madhuka Udantha
hi, Shariq

please get svn up "\platform\branches\4.0.0\components\apimgt" and build

Think this will solve it.
[some times you need '\branches\4.0.0\features\apimgt' up and build]

Thank you

Include a war file.. When it's extracted into the webapps directory,
there's an event coming into GD. That's what I wanted to be tested..

Hi,

Still Following products have not followed the branching folder structure.

BAM2
BRS
DSS
GS
LB

Release Managers , Please follow the branching folder structure as soon as
possible, since there can be problems when changing these at the last
moment. We will add these products to bamboo once they moved to the correct
structure.

Thanks

 Hi,

we are done with (i wont say done done. :) ) branching carbon for C4
 release.

 1. Obit branch -
 https://svn.wso2.org/repos/wso2/carbon/orbit/branches/4.0.0/
All the obit jars been uploaded to dist.wso2.org/maven2. Ideally
you dont have to build orbit. Recently uploaded jars may take some time to
 get cached. (one day).

 2. Kernel branch -
 https://svn.wso2.org/repos/wso2/carbon/kernel/branches/4.0.0

during the kernel branching we had the following changes in the
dependencies/orbit versions. (we had to increase versions of some project,
since some of them were released with carbon 3.2.0 release)

  h2-database 1.2.140-wso2v2 1.2.140-wso2v3

Re: [Dev] [Architecture] BAM 2.0.0 Beta Released!

2012-07-27 Thread Samisa Abeysinghe
I did my share of testing on BAM today. The Jira will tell the story.

Before we pass the packs on to QA, I would like the team to look at the
issues I have reported and fix them all and all those around the types I
have reported.

I would like the QA team to focus more serious testing on the packs, such
as volume testing, reliability/consistency of data testing etc. So please
fix these basic issues before the QA team takes over.

Re: [Dev] C-App synchronization in a Carbon cluster

2012-07-27 Thread Samisa Abeysinghe
Charitha - good catch!

Isuru, thanks for the quick fix!!

AS folks, can we please do a preliminary verification of the fix done by
Isuru, before it hits the formal QA cycle?

 Hi,

It seems we have not thought about MT aspects of this model. Now, the
carbonapps directory is taken out from repository/deployment/server and the
all CApps will be stored in common carbonapps directory regardless of the
tenant who deployed CApp. Because of this, any tenant can see others CApps
:( I came across this [1] issue in latest AS probably because of this
 change.

I've removed the analyser package that's causing the reported issue
yesterday and the component was building fine for me. However, looks like
this has happened due to some svn conflict that occurred while I was doing
so. Fixed it properly and please take an up of
org.wso2.carbon.dataservices.sql.driver module. Sorry for the trouble. :)
