Re: [Dev] How do I get connectors to work with DevS?

2013-12-06 Thread Asanka Sanjeewa
Hi,

Imported connectors maintained within the Workspace improvement [1] also
completed and it will be available in Developer Studio 3.3.0 Alpha 4
release.

With this improvement all the imported connectors will be visible to all
the ESB Configuration Projects within the Workspace (in previous model they
were specific only to the particular project into which connectors were
imported).

Can I not import per DevS instance? Say I have multiple projects, why
do I have to import project wise?

Not available toolbox page.

+1, We need to add this to BAM toolboxes page too.

It better go in the BAM toolboxes page since that's where all the toolboxes
are kept. For example, the Mediation Statistics Monitoring which is solely

toolboxes are deployed in to BAM anyway.

+1 We don't need to host toolboxes in several places,  BAM toolboxes page
should be home for this too.

Geeth, can you send a link for the released toolbox. I can't seem to find it
anywhere.

Geeth, could you please send above link ?

This is only the kernel and IFAIK it won't be very large as we have it now.
We will keep the minimum viable components and the rest will be move to the
platform. So we don't need a dividing strategy.

Re: [Dev] [ESB] Clarification about dual channel mode.

2013-12-06 Thread Chanaka Fernando
Hi Maduranga,

If you need a more deeper understanding about what happens when you invoke
the "dualquote" mode from the sampleClient, you need to dig in to the
source code.

1. First check on the axis2Client folder's src directory and find the
relevant location where this "dualquote" mode is used. (it is inside
axis2Client/src/samples/StockQuoteClient.java)
2. Then go to the source code of the related module (In this case it is
addressing module -
http://svn.wso2.org/repos/wso2/carbon/kernel/branches/4.2.0/dependencies/axis2/1.6.1-wso2v10/modules/addressing/src/org/apache/axis2/handlers/addressing/
)

3. Check on the source code and you can find the place where this
addressing information are used.

4. Debug the source code and then you can find the actual values going
through when you invoke the client.

Normally, you can explore any of the sample if you dig deeper in to the
code and debug. It is always a best practice to debug when you hit some
road block like this. I hope this helps you.

Thanks,
Chanaka

[Dev] Bundle Activate method not get called

2013-12-06 Thread Udara Liyanage
Hi,

I added the following in order to use registry service to a component.
However the activate() is not getting called.

 * @scr.component name="org.apache.stratos.autoscaler" immediate="true"
 * @scr.reference name="registry.service"
 *interface=
 *"org.wso2.carbon.registry.core.service.RegistryService"
 *cardinality="1..1" policy="dynamic"
bind="setRegistryService"
 *unbind="unsetRegistryService"
 */

When I debug from the OSGI console is says "*No instances were created
because: Method [setRegistryService] was not found in class ". *
 org.apache.stratos.autoscaler.internal.AutoscalerServerComponent"

However I have that method in the file. What may be the cause?

*protected void setRegistryService(RegistryService registryService)*

Components in bundle org.apache.stratos.autoscaler:

And we need to update the doc[1] with relevant location as well.

Re: [Dev] Can we set JMS properties from WSO2 MB GUI when publishing messages to Topics?

2013-12-06 Thread Ishara Premadasa
Hi Lahiru,

Topic message publishing UI in WSO2 MB currently support text messages and
hence only message body (as xml ) can be set from the UI. If you need to
set JMS properties this needs to be done using an external JMS client.

Thanks,
Ishara

Re: [Dev] [ESB] Creating a secure client using axiom

The above should be enough as long as you have the rampart module under
client_repo_path/modules directory and rampart libraries
(rampart-core_1.6.1.wso2v12.jar, rampart-policy_1.6.1.wso2v12.jar,
rampart-trust_1.6.1.wso2v12.jar) in your classpath. The "classpath" is the
place you tell jvm to look for required classes for you client application.

You are also giving the axis2.xml as well to create configuration context.
This is where you get the error java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
org.apache.axis2.transport.tcp.TCPTransportSender. This is because when the
creating the ConfigrationContext it will initialize the axis config using
the given axis2.xml. And those missing classes reside in some other axis2
libraries, which are not yet available your classpath. Either you can add
that lib (axis2_1.6.1.wso2v10.jar) to you classpath or try the following.

In a normal case you will not need to provide an axis2.xml when creating
ConfigrationContext. So first try giving it as null and only give the repo
location.
Ex:
ConfigurationContext configContext =
ConfigurationContextFactory.createConfigurationContextFromFileSystem("client_repo_path",
null);

This will initialize axis2 client side with default axisConfig and make
those modules (and services) available at client side.

You can find all the above mentioned libraries in ESB distribution, under
plugins directory.

Hi,

Yes, we can send a HTTP OPTIONS request to a dataservice. But it gives all
the HTTP options available for the server, not for a specific service. This

Yeah, maybe it should. Sameera, can we add this change to kernel's
axis2.xml? .. @Chanika, check if we get the axis2.xml from the kernel, or
if we have our own one.

 Cheers,

 Hi all,
To create a secure proxy service I followed the following steps.
  1. Carbon home ->Proxy service -> Secure proxy
 2. Filled necessary fields and created the secure proxy
 3. Service dashboard of new service -> Generate axis2 client (Data
 binding - adb)

Then [1] was downloaded and there was a pom.xml file in the zip
file. I think using this pom.xml, the necessary stub class will be
 generated.

I ran mvn clean install in the terminal and this[2] error came out

How can I rectify this issue?

 Hi all,
To create a secure proxy service I followed the following steps.

Kasun,
My ESB version is 4.8. Adding those dependancies to the pom.xml gave
previous error.
Lasantha,
In the svn repo there are several projects. I can't understand what is
relevant to my need.

It is strange. Not sure what happened.

Further, the org.apache.axis2.axis2:axis2:1.6.1-wso2v10 has the packaging
type 'pom'. So, there won't be any jar, only the pom should be there in
nexus. So, I think Dimuthu's generated client has wrong dependencies?

Dimuthu, can you mention the wso2 product and version that you have used to
generate this client? Also, you can manually pom.xml, and modify it to use
the axis2 orbit bundle. Then your project should be able to build.

Use the folowing dependency.

org.apache.axis2.wso2
axis2
1.6.1.wso2v10

2013-12-06 Thread Sameera Jayasoma
Hi Kasun,

I deployed these jars to the repo during the chunk01 release. This is very
strange. We deployed all the required jars. Carbon kernel dependencies
pom.xml is also deployed corrects and it contains all the required modules.

http://dist.wso2.org/maven2/org/wso2/carbon/carbon-kernel-dependents/4.2.0/carbon-kernel-dependents-4.2.0.pom

Thanks,
Sameera.

I think what Ratha meant was to checkout the source code for the missing
dependency from public svn and build on your local machine with 'mvn
install' goal. If you build with mvn install, after building it will
automatically get added your local maven repo.

[Dev] Using ActivityID generated by bam.message.tracer feature in API-Manager

2013-12-06 Thread Dinusha Senanayaka
Hi,

We have done the $subject for WSClient successfully.. But we have two
remaining issues.

1. We have removed APIKeyValidationService from the admin services to get
the feature working.

Solution that we discussed to have security for this is to, engage the same
policy used in admin services by putting it to services.xml of
keyValidationService. Had a discussion with security team (Asela/Johan)
regarding this. According to them, there is no such policy getting applied
for admin services. These admin service invocations are handled through
core/server-admin module AuthorizationHandler.. So their suggestion is to
write a new handler for only this service. (If we apply a service policy,
it will be difficult in client calls.)
But once discussed with Anjana, he suggested to change their component in a
way that could specify set of admin services which could engage with the
activityHandler. This could be done by introducing a new config file to
their component. This is what I'm going to implement for this issue.

2. Once the gateway-keymanger call switch to Thrift, this wont work.
Had a chat with Srinath/Anjana.. There is no header support in Thrift.. So
this feature to work, we need to pass this activityID as method parameter
for keyValidationService. If we are changing the method signature of
validateKey() method, it will involve considerable change, since we need to
re-generate the Thrift services as well. But since, there is no other
option shall we proceed with this ? (We can't keep only this feature
working with WSClient ?)

Regards,
Dinusha.

[Dev] [UES] SecurityError: The operation is insecure.

2013-12-06 Thread Udara Rathnayake
Hi all,

I'm writing a simple chat-gadget to showcase webSocket capability within
UES gadgets.
I have used the same server from[1] and wrote a gadget[2] with simple
client functionalities using pure JavaScript. After that I have created a
dashboard with the published chat-gadget.

Every-time you type and send something from the gadget client, server
responds with some dummy text+original msg send from the client.

dashboard URL : https://localhost:9443/mychat/
Socket URL : ws://localhost:9763/ws-chat/server.jag

Everything works fine on google chrome, but when I try-out this on firefox
i'm getting the $subject.
This is due to the same origin policy restriction.

Any suggestions to overcome this?

Hi

You are instantiating ServiceClient twice (which don't make sense) but not
passing the configContext second time. Try passing that.

Thanks

How you are creating configcontext?
Try like this;

ConfigurationContext configContext = ConfigurationContextFactory.
createConfigurationContextFromFileSystem("CARBON_HOME\\repository\\deployment\\client",
"CARBON_HOME\\repository\\conf\\axis2_client.xml");

Seems axis2-1.6.1-wso2v10 is not there in the nexus repo? Lakmali has
reported the same issue [1]. I have sent an offline chat to Carbon team,
they're looking into it now.

Re: [Dev] AS web app statistics toolBox should hosted on a public location

2013-12-06 Thread Kasun Gajasinghe
It better go in the BAM toolboxes page since that's where all the toolboxes
are kept. For example, the Mediation Statistics Monitoring which is solely
used by ESB is placed there, and also the other toolboxes like Service
Stats Monitoring toolbox which can be used for several products. In the
end, the toolboxes are deployed in to BAM anyway.

Geeth, can you send a link for the released toolbox. I can't seem to find
it anywhere.

Thanks,
KasunG

[Dev] [ESB] Creating a secure client using axiom

2013-12-06 Thread Maduranga Siriwardena
Hi all,
I'm trying to create a secure client using axiom to connect to a secure
proxy service created using the ESB. Bellow [1] has the code segment I used
to configure the client. But when I run the client I get the bellow error.

org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: Unable to engage module : rampart
at
org.apache.axis2.client.ServiceClient.engageModule(ServiceClient.java:363)
at client.OrderProcessClient.main(OrderProcessClient.java:57)

Folder structure of my project is as the attachment bellow. Can someone
please help me to resolve this problem.

Seems particular axis2 version is not available in the repository..For such
type of issues , check -out our public svn and build the relevant projects.

[Dev] [ESB] Problem with creating a secure client

2013-12-06 Thread Dimuthu Upeksha
Hi all,
To create a secure proxy service I followed the following steps.
1. Carbon home ->Proxy service -> Secure proxy
2. Filled necessary fields and created the secure proxy
3. Service dashboard of new service -> Generate axis2 client (Data binding
- adb)

Then [1] was downloaded and there was a pom.xml file in the zip file. I
think using this pom.xml, the necessary stub class will be generated.

I ran mvn clean install in the terminal and this[2] error came out

How can I rectify this issue?

Thank you

2013-12-06 Thread Asanka Vithanage
Hi All,
With AS 520 release,we introduced a feature to monitor web statistics and
Its have documented under [1]. But relevant BAM toolbox does not available
on any public location.

Shall we add web statistics toolBox to a public location , may be we can
add it to the location [2]?
And we need to update the doc[1] with relevant location as well.

You can have your custom endpoint logic. There is no UI support yet.

Check the following posts on how to add your custom endpoint concepts.

Re: [Dev] How endpoints in ESB proxies are generated

I believe this behavior is specific to the transport receiver being used
and the way it exposes the EPR of a service.
