Re: [Dev] siddhi v2.2.0-SNAPSHOT stop calling callbacks after few seconds
Hi Lasantha, I try the same set of queries without distributed processing. Now this query work fine: *- queryB:*'from streamFlow#window.timeBatch( 5 sec ) select max(bytes) as maxBytes, min(bytes) as minBytes, avg(bytes) as avgBytes, sum(bytes) as sumBytes, src group by src insert into infoBytes'* but this query doesn't work: *- queryA:* 'from flow=streamFlow[bytes250]+, monitor=streamMonitor[monitor==cpu and value25.00] within 1 select flow[0].src as src, monitor.value as cpu insert into streamD'* I try explain you how I am using Siddhi within the TridentTopology. I am using the Trident State API. I put siddhiManager inside a Trident State, and I use this Trident State across my topology, for example: --- STORM |- Siddhi --- -- TridentStream( FLOW )-- Trident State with Siddhi | - SiddhiStream(streamFlow) [Thread 1] | -- TridentStream( MONITOR ) -- Trident State with Siddhi | - SiddhiStream(streamMonitor) [Thread 2] I need the distributed processing to make a communication between Thread1 and Thread2 [queryA]. I can have multiple parallelism in the same Trident State to do it scalable. What do you think? Thanks, Andres - -- Andres Gomez Developer at Eneo Tecnologia. Re: [Dev] Loading super-tenants carbon admin UI theme from registry
Hi Udara AFAIK it always refers to registry resource of the particular tenant. When you restart the server with the changed file it will update the super tenant registry resource. And it will get copied to tenant when we create the tenant. So tenant is getting the theme that super tenant had at the point of tenant creation. [Dev] ES- Asset publisher to BAM
Hi Devs, For ES, I am creating a JAGGERY API to publish ES asset events to BAM. The objective is show asset related statistics in BAM dashboard. Inside API, uses Data publisher to send events, related to assets. When an event occurs in ES, which need to gather statistics, the jaggery code will call the API and publish event details to BAM. Ex -: Suppose we need to show information of how many downloads per asset. The asset download JAG page call the publishEvents API. Please go through the diagrom and share your thoughts. Re: [Dev] [Architecture] ES- Asset publisher to BAM
Hi, I see eventName is being used as meta data and payload data; what are these properties? If it's same property, you don't need to duplicate it and rather have it in the single place either as meta data or payload data. Also what is ES_EVENT in correlation data? Can you explain the properties of the stream definition you have used here? Thanks. Sinthuja. Hi all, I have created three apps on WSO2 app cloud and two of them gave me errors while creating. But when I log into the app cloud after 2,3 hours, it says the two apps which gave me errors are still in the creation process as in the screenshot[1] below. I tried with a different account and got the same problem while creating DSS and Jaggery apps. What could be the reason? Is it possible to delete these apps.? Thanks in advance.!! When you restart the server with the changed file it will update the super tenant registry resource. And it will get copied to tenant when we create the tenant. So tenant is getting the theme that super tenant had at the point of tenant creation. If you check the super tenant registry resource /_system/ governance/repository/components/org.wso2.carbon. all-themes/Default/admin/main.css its there and if you update the file system it will get updated at restart. And If you want to check which one is used (registry or fs) in a setup with several products (say we have ESB and AS), change main.css in AS fs and restart and let registry caching get invalidated in ESB and try to access ESB. [Dev] WSO2 Carbon kernel 4.3.0 Alpha is Released!!!
Hi Folks, WSO2 Carbon team is pleased announce the alpha release of the Carbon kernel 4.3.0. WSO2 Carbon redefines middleware by providing an integrated and componentized middleware platform that adapts to the specific needs of any enterprise IT project - on premise or in the cloud. 100% open source and standards-based, WSO2 Carbon enables developers to rapidly orchestrate business processes, compose applications and develop services using WSO2 Developer Studio and a broad range of business and technical services that integrate with legacy, packaged and SaaS applications. WSO2 Carbon kernel, the lean, modular, OSGi-based platform, is the base of the WSO2 Carbon platform. It is a composable server architecture which inherits modularity and dynamism from OSGi framework. WSO2 Carbon kernel can be considered as a framework for server development. All the WSO2 products are composed as a collection reusable components running on this kernel. These products/components inherits all the core services provided by Carbon kernel such as Registry/repository, User management, Transports, Caching, Clustering, Logging, Deployment related features. In order to get this from the registry we have to access though registry/resource/ path. But for super-tenant we get this from carbon/styles/. My question is how we can change this behavior. Re: [Dev] Question about securing a service in ESB, providing Integrity
The symmetric key is shared between the trusted parties using the asymmetric key. The encryption is done with the recipient’s public key, so it is not possible for someone in the middle to decrypt the symmetric key information without the server's private key. The server's private key should be secure of course, that is a key agreement. Only when the symmetric key is agreed upon, the payload starts to be transferred. This sequence can be observed with WireShark (or Charles Proxy if you want to decrypt the PKI encrypted data) during a SSL handshake. Re: [Dev] Question about securing a service in ESB, providing Integrity
Good explanation Chamila. Thanks. I guess its better if this was mentioned in the above diagram so anyone can understand how this actually provides security. At least it can be mentioned that there is a handshaking mechanism between client and the server to share a secret symmetric key, prior to sending any payload message. (or is this a step that is *implied *and I am so ignorant that I didn't know that?) Re: [Dev] Question about securing a service in ESB, providing Integrity
Hi Darshana, It is correct that nobody else but the server can decrypt the encrypted symmetric key. But the problem is, if client didn't use a pre shared key, somebody else in the middle can intercept the message, read the content (only the symmetric key used for signing is encrypted, not the content), alter the content, sign it using a different symmetric key, encrypt the used symmetric key using server's public key and send to server. Server of cause can decrypt the encrypted symmetric key and verify the signature, but it has no way to identify whether the original sender is the one who signed it. After the client encrypts a symmetric key if it was intercepted by a third party there is no way to decrypt it without the servers public key and hence the content cannot be accessed and altered anyway. I believed this is where the security is provided so that the integrity of the message is protected. The symmetric key is not shared by a handshake as I understand by the diagram, it is shared with the message protected by asymmetric key cryptography.
