 Hi All,

 Before running the integration tests on the cluster I tried to run some
 of the test modules locally. I ran following two scenarios.

 1. Executed the integration tests after building the pack.
 2. Executed the integration tests by pointing to an already started ESB
 server with an offset.

 For the above scenarios I executed tests-mediator-1
 and tests-mediator-2 modules located at [1]

 In the second scenario I commented out the CarbonServerExtension and
 Axis2ServerExtension from the automation.xml and I started an Axis2
 Server locally by deploying the sample web-services available.

 After running the above scenarios following results were obtained.
 (Summary)

 *Scenario 01 (Running tests after building the pack) *

 *tests-mediator-1*

 StatusMethods
 PassedScenarios
 Passed# skipped# failedNo of Tests38238206

 *tests-mediator-2*

 *Scenario 02 (Running tests by pointing to a remote server)*

 *tests-mediator-1*

 StatusMethods
 PassedScenarios
 Passed# skipped# failedNo of Tests16216216066

 *tests-mediator-2*

 The test didn't complete and surefire reports were not generated.

 By looking at the above results it's clear that some of the test cases
 are not intended to executed in a remote manner or in a clustered
 environment. (Please note that I didn't analyze the results in-depth).

 @Automation Team: Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Can I
 improve the above results and run it on the cluster? And if I'm running
 this on an ESB cluster how should I configure the back-end Axis2 Server? Do
 I need to start an Axis2 Server on each worker node?

 @ESB Team : Some test cases are failing in the 1st scenario, these need
 to be investigated and fixed.

[Dev] Regarding the Help link of Product UI

2015-07-14 Thread Nayomi Dayarathne
Hi All,

I have the following issues regarding the Help link of ESB 4.9.0 UI.

1.The context-sensitive help pages are not updated in most of the features.

2.Help pages of Message Stores and Message Processors direct to ESB 4.8.0
product document.
I have already put a doc jira regarding this.
https://wso2.org/jira/browse/ESBJAVA-3901?filter=-2

Therefore, i have following suggestions,

1.Point the help link of the features to correct documents, except pointing
them to context-sensitive help pages.(Because documents are updating
version to version, so if we point help link to documents we don't have to
waste time to update context-sensitive help pages)

2.If the help link of the other products acts the same way, can't we
implement the above suggestion as a best practice for other products as
well ?

Thanks.

2015-07-14 Thread Prasad Tissera
Hi Aparna,

For carbon 4.4.0 it should directly inside conf directory. [1]. Default
file location as per the p2.inf is under multitenancy folder. But in the
product build can copy the file to the correct location in the bin.xml.
From next release this should be properly fixed in either user core [1] or
tenant.common feature p2.inf [2].

[Dev] Message loss during failover when nodes are killed - complex edge cases

2015-07-14 Thread Hasitha Hiranya
Hi Asitha,

I want to know in high level what happens to slots when a node is killed.

1. A new slot coordinator should be elected. Until then other nodes might
connect to that node.

[Dev] [IS] Can't create users/roles through the UI

2015-07-14 Thread Thusitha Thilina Dayaratne
Hi All,

When trying to create role through the WSO2-AS following error occurred.
This happens when creating users too.

Could not add role PRIMARY/saffadf. Error is: Role name not valid. Role
 name must be a non null string with following format, ^~!#$;%*+={}\
 file://%3C%3E%2C%27%22/{3,30}$

It seems that from the user.mgt.ui (In the
carbon-commons/components/user-manager/org.wso2.carbon.user.mgt.ui/src/main/resources/web/role/add-finish.jsp)
it try to get the safetext as follows

roleName = CharacterEncoder.getSafeText(roleBean.getRoleName());

in the getSafeTextMethod '/' is replaced by the '#x2F' (regex looks for
pattern like userstore/name) therefore regex will not match and operation
will fail.

Since we are planning to do the Carbon-kernel 4.4.1 patch release next week
please consider this as a blocker for that.
I've created JIRA[1] for this.

[Dev] DSS: Can't alter wrong query

2015-07-14 Thread John Hawkins
HiFolks,

While creating a new Data Service (DSS version 3.2.2) I mistyped a column
name in the query (I typed modifieddata rather than modifieddate).
I deployed that service and saw my error and now I can't get rid of that
error. I've gone back to the query (using both the service wizard and xml
editor) and can see that I have changed it so that it is now correct. But
each time I re-run my query (through the REST interface) it comes back with
the same error. So, it looks like it's not picked up my changes to the
query - despite everything appearing to tell me that I have corrected the
query and that the query has been redeployed (I can see the axis2 service
being deployed when I save the newly altered service). I've tried
restarting the wso2server DSS and that makes no difference.

Any ideas anyone?

many thanks for you help,
John.

[Dev] Make sure that the given file is completely downloaded to the client

2015-07-14 Thread Sajith Abeywardhana
Hi,

When we are implementing a one time download link (for a file downloading),
we have to make sure that the given file is completely downloaded to the
client before garbage the given link. Can you guys please suggest a way to
make sure that the given file is completely downloaded to the client? I
need to do this in server side.

Sending progress back to the server is not possible in this case.

Check sent packets and tries to predict download completion is a one way.
Any other suggestions?

Re: [Dev] DSS: Can't alter wrong query

2015-07-14 Thread Madhawa Gunasekara
Hi John,

Can you share the error logs with us, then it will be easier to find the
root cause.
Normally when a user change the dbs file, It removes the existing service,
which relevant to the dbs file and redeploy it. It happens when the
time-stamp of the file changes.

Thanks,
Madhawa

 Any ideas anyone?

 many thanks for you help,
 John.

Re: [Dev] Performance Issue with Jaggery App inspired by Unified UI Framework

Re: [Dev] Make sure that the given file is completely downloaded to the client

2015-07-14 Thread Bhathiya Jayasekara
Hi Sajith,

If you have to provide a direct URL necessarily, it will be hard to achieve
this. A simple solution is to provide a dynamic URL, may be with a random
key. You can count the number of requests coming with a particular key
(you'll have to store this value) and act accordingly. After some time (say
a day or 2) you can expire the link.

Thanks,
Bhathiya

 Sending progress back to the server is not possible in this case.

 Check sent packets and tries to predict download completion is a one way.

Re: [Dev] ML Error with Abalone Dataset

We'll see if Spark gives a meaningful error in this case, and if it is

the real error in this case. We'll check it. Thanks.

 After fixing above issues, everything seems to be working fine at the

 var actual = testResultDataPointsSample[i].predictedVsActual.actual;
 var predicted =

 var labeledPredicted = labelPredicted(predicted, 0.5);

 if(actual == labeledPredicted) {
 predictedVsActualPoint[2] = 'Correct';
 }
 else {
 predictedVsActualPoint[2] = 'Incorrect';
 }

 why does it compare the *actual and labeledPredicted* where it should
 be comparing *actual and predicted*?

 Also, the *Actual vs Predicted graph for MNIST show the axis in
 Meters *(mnist.png) which doesn't make sense. I'm still looking into
 this.

 Thank you

Still the problem is not resolved.

Can you help me out to resolve this issue?

 Dear all,

 Please find the minutes of the 1st meeting on integrating DL for WSO2ML

 There are 2 potential java libraries that can be used for deep learning
 (Recommended in DeepLearning.net)

- DL4J (http://deeplearning4j.org/)
- https://github.com/ivan-vasilev/neuralnetworks

 However, it was decided to stay with *DL4J* as it has shown to be the
 most promising in terms of the requirements to be satisfied.

 Furthermore, the initial focus will be on implementing a *Deep
 Autoencoder (DA)* (A variation of Deep Networks). Deep Autoencoder is
 essentially a stack of Multi-Layer Perceptrons with greedy layer-wise
 pre-training and fine-tuning by backpropagation.

 Deep Autoencoder was chosen based on following reasons

- Simplicity (Compared to other networks such as Convolutional
Networks, Stacked Restricted Boltzmann Machines)
- High Accuracy (DAs has have shown promising results for various
datasets. MNIST - 99.0%+ accuracy)
- Easy to generalize. DA can be easily generalized for text, images,
etc.

 After the implementation of DA, the possibility of introducing different
 techniques *(Denoising, Drop-out, Sparcity) *will be investigated.

Re: [Dev] [ML] Update - Deeplearning Integration to WSO2-ml

Hi Srinath,

We could create a new branch in ML for 1.1.0 release and merge Thushan's
changes or we could wait for 1.0.0 release and merge directly to master
branch. But Thushan is working with latest master branch code and he has
already integrated DL into ML. One thing we have to fix is creating Orbit
bundles for H2O dependencies and properly bundle them into ML.

Thushan is in Australia, hence I'm afraid f2f meeting won't be possible.

 As you can see, score(double[] v) is quite poor.

 After fixing above issues, everything seems to be working fine at the
 moment.

 However, the I've a concern regarding the following method in
 view-model.jag - function
 drawPredictedVsActualChart(testResultDataPointsSample)

 var actual = testResultDataPointsSample[i].predictedVsActual.actual;
 var predicted =
 testResultDataPointsSample[i].predictedVsActual.predicted;
 var labeledPredicted = labelPredicted(predicted, 0.5);

 if(actual == labeledPredicted) {
 predictedVsActualPoint[2] = 'Correct';
 }
 else {
 predictedVsActualPoint[2] = 'Incorrect';
 }

 why does it compare the *actual and labeledPredicted* where it should
 be comparing *actual and predicted*?

 Also, the *Actual vs Predicted graph for MNIST show the axis in
 Meters *(mnist.png) which doesn't make sense. I'm still looking
 into this.

 Thank you

[Dev] Exception occurs when lookuo for JNDI defined in web application (META-INF/context.xml)

Hi all,

In current product-as SNAPSHOT (available at [1]), when a lookup for JNDI
(defined in the webapp itself [2]) is performed, it throws an exception
[3]. The sample application works in tomcat.

This issue occurred after the change mentioned in JIRA [4] was done.
Previously when the CarbonJavaURLFactory (extension of
javaURLContextFactory) returns SelectorContext for a lookup from webapps,
it returns a Read-Only context, this was changed to Read-Write by
changing the boolean value in [1] to true.

Re: [Dev] [Stratos] java.io.IOException: No space left on device in Docker containers

2015-07-14 Thread Punnadi Gunarathna
Hi Imesh,

I had a chat with Reka and found out due to high loadAverage, more
containers are spawned by AS. This causes the No space left on device.
Since I am working with 1 minion, at first there is 3 applications for
dev,test and prod and when they started to scale the VM left with no space.

 Hi Manisha,

 No it can't be done with puppet scripts at the moment. I was referring to

 Hi All,

 Despite cleaning pods via kubernetes client, I noticed there are number
 of old docker containers running on node-01 with below command:

 docker ps -a

 So I deleted them with below command:

 docker ps -a | grep 'CREATED' | awk '{print $1}' | xargs
 --no-run-if-empty docker rm -f

 e.g:

 docker ps -a | grep '3 hours ago' | awk '{print $1}' | xargs
 --no-run-if-empty docker rm -f

 Hope this will solve the problem.

Re: [Dev] Error when configuring travis build for repo

2015-07-14 Thread Charitha Goonetilleke
Hi Dilhasha,

Did you tried to execute your script on the same directory as you tried
previously? If so there is chance to a local git config conflict. i.e. you
might already have git configs for your previous script which you tried to
clone from remote[1]. Then those configs might get conflicted with your new
remote[2] and it might be shown as a detached HEAD error. So first,
please try to execute your script in a different folder.

If it is not solving your problem, could you please attached your complete
build script?

Re: [Dev] [ML] Error When Creating a Data Set

2015-07-14 Thread Madawa Soysa
Hi Nirmal,

I added my changes done to the carbon-ml as a patch to the pack. I guess
the code is changed after the alpha release. I'll build from the source.

Thanks.

 Hi Madawa,

 Why are you using Alpha version? Seems you have a code mismatch. Please
 try to build the product from master branch since you are actively
 developing.
