Re: [Dev] [Taxonomy] Update styles for a tree view

2016-03-30 Thread Dakshika Jayathilaka
Hi all,

Seems we can write our own theme for this.[1][2] Shall we try to write a
theme using CSS.

2016-03-30 Thread Jerad Rutnam
Hi Chanaka,

Shall we check if there is any other library for the requirement? I think
its better if we double check. And I believe its possible to style the
dotted lines etc ... You can get an idea from the treeview in Theme WSO2
[2]. And if we need any additional icons we can add to Font WSO2 [1] and
use.

[Dev] [DEV] [PET] Error with empty response body with application/json Content-Type in ESB 5.0.0-M2

2016-03-30 Thread Kalyani Yogeswaranathan
Hi All,

I am currently working on redmine connector improvement. For that when we
get empty response body from API, it's returning error as below.
For example, response from the API for the delete method
if it is deleted - 200 OK

we are getting status code only, but empty response body.

The needed action is working fine[1]. But it is returning error as below[2].
I am testing these methods using ESB 4.9.0, also I had test with 5.0.0 M2
as well.

Re: [Dev] [Taxonomy] Update styles for a tree view

2016-03-30 Thread Chanaka Jayasena
Hi,

It seems hard to override the image map in this library with font base
icons. For an example representing the dotted lines will be a challenge. It
will require lot of customization to the library such as creating a custom
font, etc.. IMO the best option here is to update the image map of the
library.

thanks,
Chanaka

Re: [Dev] [MB] Adding H2 Driver as a Dependency only for the Destribution

Actually, h2 orbit is not required. The h2 is available as an osgi bundle
and can be used directly for the embedded db.

Re: [Dev] REST-API: Fine Grained resources vs Coarse Grained resources

2016-03-30 Thread Thamali Wijewardhana
Thank you very much Frank for your comments.
I am now clear that deciding whether to use fine grained resources or
coarse grained resource does not depend on the size of the object. We have
to consider what objects change and how often they are changed when
defining resources. And also the number of requests does not depend on the
number of resources defined. I am trying to use this knowledge and the
above three options.

Best regards
Thamali

Re: [Dev] Exception Handing Among JavaScript - Jaggery - Java

2016-03-30 Thread Praminda Jayawardana
Hi Samitha,

LBYL(Look Bfore You Leap) and EAFP(Easier to Ask Forgiveness than
Permission) is the two ways used to error checking. Different languages
have different preferences. Ex: Python prefers EAFP (try-catch) over LBYL
(if-else).
I haven't come across any standard for Java but people use try-catch
frequently. In JS, using try-catch for use cases where you can't test for
the error is not preferable due to performance issues and asynchronous
nature of JS.

In you case my suggestion is to catch the exception in Java level , log it
if you want the stack trace, throw the error to jaggery and send a error
code to JS as tharik suggested.

Thanks,
Praminda

 Hi Samitha,

From what I understand, you need to both print the full stack trace and
throw a proper message to the front end.

If that so, you can catch the error, log it and throw a custom error
 from the java side.

 Cheers,
 Sachith

Hi Lahiru,

Can't we style jstree without images? We are not using images in new WSO2
Product UI's unless its necessary. And we are not recommending to use here.

[Dev] [DEV][IS] User Store error while doing GREG performance testing in clustered setup

2016-03-30 Thread Danesh Kuruppu
Hi all,

I am currently doing GREG performance testing in clustered setup. It is a
two nodes cluster fronted with nginx and we have enabled sticky sessions.
We have JDBC user store (mysql DB) shared with both nodes.

User store exception[1][2] occurred while performing asset crud operation
in publisher for 20+ concurrent users.

Any idea of why this is happen.
Thanks
Danesh

Re: [Dev] [IS] Cannot deploy a BPEL with BPELUploader service after upgrading kernel, registry, business process versions

Hi Malithi,

I have observed the same issue by only updating carbon-registry from 4.4.8
to 4.4.9. So I believe this happens due to dependency changes occurring
when doing that.

Thank You!

Re: [Dev] [EMM][Android] OTA firmware upgrade support

2016-03-30 Thread Kasun Dananjaya Delgolla
Hi Gayan,

Server get an ack when the process starts. But we can change status type at
any point. OTA logic is done in a way that the update package gets deleted
once the process is complete. So it's already handled. If the test passes
the download process and goes to the verify state, that means the logic
works well. After that point, upgrade will be handled by OS inbuilt upgrade
process.

Thanks

Re: [Dev] [EMM][Android] OTA firmware upgrade support

2016-03-30 Thread Gayan Yalpathwala
Hi Kasun,

Following problems were encountered while completing the OTA upgrade
process.

03-30 22:50:16.534 12103-12116/org.wso2.emm.system.service E/OTA_SM: Update
package file retrieval error.java.io.IOException: open failed: EACCES
(Permission denied)
- This was due to using /cache/update.zip as the OTA package location. This
location was changed to /mnt/sdcard/update.zip in order to read the file
successfully.
- Also added following read and write permissions for the system app.

checkURL() method in OTAServerManager.java hangs while checking the
existence of the URL.
- This implementation is currently invalid since we have a static URL
implementation, therefore the method was made to return true.

Other than that, I have noticed that the server is ACKed even when the OTA
upgrade fails on the device end.
Is there a mechanism to clear the OTA package from the device's file
location once installed? If not, this will lead to a memory overflow.

Thanks,

[Dev] [IS] Cannot deploy a BPEL with BPELUploader service after upgrading kernel, registry, business process versions

2016-03-30 Thread Malithi Edirisinghe
Hi All,

We have upgraded opensaml version from 2.4.1 to 2.6.4 in carbon-identity
5.0.8. In order to build the product with this opensaml upgrade we had to
update carbon deployment version from 4.5.3 to 4.6.1 to avoid wiring to
opensaml older version.

Along with this upgrade we had to upgrade below too.
carbon-kernel 4.4.3 to 4.4.5
carbon-commons 4.4.8 to 4.5.2
carbon-registry 4.4.8 to 4.5.2
carbon-multitenancy4.5.0 to 4.5.1
carbon-business-process4.4.4 to 4.4.7
carbon-analytics-common 1.0.0 to 5.0.8
axiom 1.2.11.wso2v6 to 1.2.11.wso2v10
rampart1.6.1.wso2v16 to 1.6.1.wso2v19
jaggerjs0.12.2 to 0.12.3

However, after this upgrade adding workflows fail, since the client cannot
authenticate to the BPELUploader service via mutual ssl.
This occurs as the client module fails to communicate the client
certificate.
But when I tried the same service for mutual ssl via soap ui and via a
third party client I wrote which uses the same stub packed, it worked.

Highly appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Malithi

Re: [Dev] WSO2 DAS: Event streaming not working

2016-03-30 Thread Damith Wickramasinghe
Hi Samudra,

This can occur if the csv data is not according to the event stream
definition parameters. Please check whether your sending data according to
the the stream definition attribute order.

Regards,
Damith.

Re: [Dev] WSO2 DAS: Event streaming not working

2016-03-30 Thread Srinath Perera
Samudra, I think problem may be csv file somehow does not fit the expected
format. It may be something to do with how header files specified ( please
check that against sample given in userguide if there is any)

Dunith, Gihan, could someone help.

Also you must be using esb 5 milestone pack?

Does that mean it is guaranteed that the order of observers being called is

Re: [Dev] Is there a way to enforce a dependency between 2 AbstractAxis2ConfigurationContextObserver implementations?

2016-03-30 Thread KasunG Gajasinghe
These are registered as osgi services. They get invoked sequentially. But,
depending on the order the services are registered, which service gets
called first is undefined.

To order the observers, may be you should try to make sure that the APIM
bundle that registers its Axis2ConfigurationContextObserver
implementation should
wait till synapse bundle gets activated.

Re: [Dev] Exception Handing Among JavaScript - Jaggery - Java

2016-03-30 Thread Samitha Chathuranga
Hi Tharik,

Thanks Tharik. Yes in jaggery level I could detect exception type in catch
block by following your approach. But it seems impossible to log or get the
stack trace of the exception there. But as in the example in yours,
e.javaException.getFaultGateWayString() might be giving it, but not all the
Exceptions are having such methods as I know.

Thanks
Samitha

 Hi,

I am developing a feature in WSO2 PC and in it I have a JavaScript
front end and a Java back end. To call java classes from the JavaScript I
am using Jaggery in between the above two. So my question is what is the
best practice in Exception handling and error logging in such a this
 scenario.

As I understand I can come out with few options.

Option 1- Catching the exception in the Java class itself and log the
complete error with an appropriate custom error message using
 log.error(errMsg,
e), without throwing exceptions from the method signature, using throws
clause. (As we usually do in a sole java application). So here the
exceptions are completely handled from the back end and doesn't come at
least to the jaggery. And for the purpose of showing some error message to
the front end user we can return a message or flag or something from the
java function to the jaggery side. So at the jaggery side or even at the
javascript, we can check that return value and show the error message as an
alert and proceed depending conditionally on that return value.

Option 2- We can throw the the exception in the catch block of java
class using throw new ExceptionClassName("custom error message",e) and
catch it in the jaggery file. But here I am getting the problem that we
cannot log the complete long exception report using log.error(_ _) in
jaggery. We can just print the custom error message set by us when throwing
it from Java side. But I don't know is there any other way to trace that
complete exception in jaggery. Anybody know something on it?

Option 3- We can catch the error in the JavaScript, without catching in
the Jaggery. But I don't think this is ok as we won't be able to print the
exception in the server console if we do it so.

I want to know what is the best practice in such a this scenario and if
it is Option 2, what is the solution for the problem in it as mentioned
there above. Appreciate support from somebody.

 Thanks,
 Samitha

Hi Tharindu,
Thanks for the solution. My Service Provide is SAAS enabled, but still I got
the name id with domain. BTW I have set the Subject Claim URI to "
http://wso2.org/claims.givenname"; and it worked as I got the nameid without
domain.

Thanks,

Re: [Dev] Secure vault for C5 ?

2016-03-30 Thread Thilina Piyasundara
IMO we need to have the solution within WSO2 products. Like its talking to
OC in the bootup process.

Reason is, when we talk about securevault we need to assume that the evil
person have full access to the host VM and containers.
