[Dev] REST/JSON instead of SOAP in IS and AM?

2017-03-28 Thread Gottfried Szing

Hi

There is currently a major refactoring going on and actually it looks like that the Identity Server 6.0 and
API Manager 3.0 will be based on the new carbon platform. Since this includes (as far as I can see from the
commits & discussions) more and more deprecation of non-REST-APIs. So it wont make sense to setup automation
based on APIs that wont exist in the next version.

Examples for APIs:
* https://docs.wso2.com/display/IS530/Using+APIs
* https://docs.wso2.com/display/AM210/WSO2+Admin+Services

So what is the plan for all the SOAP APIs that exist now? What is the migration path and timeline for these
kind of APIs?

Br,
  Gottfried

[Dev] Takes a lot of time to start up the server

2017-03-28 Thread Keerthika Mahendralingam
Hi All,

I have upgraded the Mac OS version to 10.9.3 to 10.12.3(MacOS Sierra).
After that, it takes a time to start up the server. It's same for ESB
4.9.0, 5.0.0 and EI.

It freezes for some time after setting the java home.

JAVA_HOME environment variable is set to
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_121.jdk/Contents/Home

CARBON_HOME environment variable is set to
/Users/keerthu/Desktop/QSP/wso2ei-6.0.0

Using Java memory options: -Xms256m -Xmx1024m

Did anyone come across this kind of issue? How to resolve it?

Thanks,

2017-03-28 Thread Keerthika Mahendralingam
Hi All,

After enabling the remote login(System preferences --> Sharing --> Click
"Remote login"), it resolved. Earlier it took more the 160 seconds to start
up the server. Now it took less than 40 seconds.

Thanks,
Keerthika.

Re: [Dev] [DEV] GSoC 2017 - Real-Time Machine Learning Toolkit for Siddhi

2017-03-28 Thread Kasun Weerakoon
Hi,

I'm working on the project proposal and there were several questions
emerged as follows,

   1. In offline machine learning we normally preprocess data by doing
operations such as *scaling*, before training the model. So in the
streaming algorithm is there any way to do that?

   2. Does this algorithms we are going to implement should support *non
numeric* input such as text data?

   3. If it's so, do we need to implement a *word2vec* model to convert
   inputs into numeric vectors?

   4. If our streaming algorithms supports sentiment analysis on the Social
Networks, how are we going to address this problem with streaming data?
I researched about this matter and found some approach such as *Modified
Balanced Winnow *for streaming algorithms instead of batch mode learning
   approach.
   http://file.scirp.org/pdf/JDAIP_2014053015541008.pdf

I appreciate your opinion about this problems and it would be very helpful
in creating the proposal for me.

You mean an expired token?

Can you verify status of the token using the introspection endpoint as well?

curl -k -u **:** -H 'Content-Type:
application/x-www-form-urlencoded' -X POST --data 'token='
https://localhost:9443/oauth2/introspect

Re: [Dev] API Calls fail while UserStoreConfigurationDeployer is running

2017-03-28 Thread KasunG Gajasinghe
You can reduce the deployment update interval via carbon.xml. By default,
it is 15mins. Search for DeploymentUpdateInterval. You can increase this.

That being said, the deployers won't be called unless you modify userstore.

[Dev] Bundling JMS 2.0 API jar with integration server

2017-03-28 Thread Dilshani Subasinghe
Hi EI Team,

As I am working with JMS 2.0 scenarios with integration server, it was
found that we should add javax.jms-api-2.0.1.jar
replacing
"geronimo-jms_1.1_spec-1.1.0.wso2v1.jar"($EI_HOME/wso2/lib/endorsed).

As JMS 2.0 jar working fine with JMS 1.x scenarios, can we bundle the
integration server with only JMS 2.0 jar ? That will be more user friendly
as we support JMS 2.0 as inbuilt features.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

[Dev] How to write test cases for microservices registered via uuf app

2017-03-28 Thread Denuwanthi De Silva
Hi,

1. I have a micro service registered in a uuf app via component.yaml

apis:
  - className:
"org.wso2.is.portal.user.client.api.micro.PasswordUtilityMicroService"
uri: "/passwordUtil-micro-service/"

Now, the url for the micorservice is in the form of

/admin-portal/root/apis/passwordUtil-micro-service/validatePassword

2. Inside the microservice I call an OSGI service.

BundleContext bundleContext =
FrameworkUtil.getBundle(PasswordValidationService.class).getBundleContext();

3.When writing a test case with 'MicroServicesRunner' since it is a
non-osgi environment, my OSGI service is not fetched.

4.Then we tried to write as an osgi test. Then it says it cannot find
'admin-portal' app

Is there a way we can deploy the uuf app when running the tests?(We are on
kernel 5.1.0)

Thanks

Re: [Dev] API Calls fail while UserStoreConfigurationDeployer is running

@KasunG The deployers can run during tenant loading, correct? Say the
tenant got unloaded after the idle time, the next request to that tenant's
resource will re deploy the tenant's user stores, services etc. In that

[Dev] [UUF] Rendering fragment attach client side javascript twice

2017-03-28 Thread Anuruddha Liyanarachchi
Hi,

I noticed that rendering fragments with public javascript, that the
javascript function is getting attached twice. Therefore $(function () {});
method is getting triggered twice.

As per the offline discussion with SajithAR fix for this bug is already in
the master branch.

Can we get a release with this fix, please?

[Dev] [MSF4J] Interceptor#preCall method stopped serving HTTP GET randomly.

2017-03-28 Thread Abimaran Kugathasan
Hi Dev,

In API Manager 3.0, We have RESTAPISecurityInterceptor which implements
org.wso2.msf4j.Interceptor.

When I send HTTP Get request, I'm getting 405, for HTTP POST and PUT it
works correctly.

I debugged MSF4JMessageProcessor, there is a method named
'receive(CarbonMessage carbonMessage, CarbonCallback carbonCallback)' which
haven't hit when I send GET.

Which component calls this method? Also is there any configuration to
decide which HTTP verb should be served?

Appreciate your responses.

This is the entry point for MSF4J. If that doesn't get hit, it implies due
to some reason the http message doesn't reach to MSF4J side through the
transport. But that is strange. COuold you please verify that?

Thanks
Thusitha

I'm getting 405 for GET, who is responding with 405? How can I verify? I
thought MSF4J uses carbon-transport as underlying framework for HTTP
transport.
