Re: [Dev] [Intern Project] Integrating API gateway with AWS Lambda
Also +1 to disable both Endpoints section and Resources while enabling the LAMBDA section as you suggested. Wizard is something you can do optionally. But you can reuse the components from Resource and Endpoints to build the LAMDA component. thanks, Chanaka On Fri, Aug 30, 2019 at 12:07 PM Chanaka Jayasena wrote: > I would suggest to add them separately and provide them a wizard to set > AWS Lambda starting from the BIG overview page. > > The wizard will take the user through necessary steps and guide him > through the different sections. > > With old UI tech, it's difficult to do something like this without > duplicating the code hear and there. Re: [Dev] [Intern Project] Integrating API gateway with AWS Lambda
I would suggest to add them separately and provide them a wizard to set AWS Lambda starting from the BIG overview page. The wizard will take the user through necessary steps and guide him through the different sections. With old UI tech, it's difficult to do something like this without duplicating the code hear and there. But now we can reuse the components in different sections and build a wizard out of them just to make the UX nice. We have done a similar thing with subscriptions in Store. It guides the user up to key generation but the application creation subscriptions and key generation are still keeps it's own location on the content tree. You can get more info from Dushan. He has nicely architecture the implementation of the same in store. thanks, Chanaka On Fri, Aug 30, 2019 at 11:46 AM Binod Karunanayake wrote: > Hi all, > > So far, I have developed the code for creating apis to invoke Lambda > functions through REST API. *Still the above issue (set ByteBuffer > response to response path directly) is not resolved*. Re: [Dev] APIM React UI input validation
+1 for using Joi. One of the reasons we couldn't go with most of the libraries out there is they are wrapping input elements with there own components. This lib doesn't seem to have that problem. thanks, Chanaka On Fri, Aug 23, 2019 at 12:44 PM Kasun Thennakoon wrote: > Hi All, > > So far we have been doing the validation manually in ad-hoc manner. Re: [Dev] Export and Import Assets between two GREG instances
Hi Danesh, Thank you for the information. I checkout */_system/governance/trunk* to dump file and checkin it to the other instance. Resources are visible from Carbon console and they have the correct media type applied to it. Ex : application/vnd.wso2-restservice+xml But they are still not visible in the store and publisher. Am I missing something. thanks, Chanaka On Thu, Nov 23, 2017 at 3:27 PM, Danesh Kuruppu wrote: > Hi Chanaka, > > Can you check checkin-checkout client [1][2] instead of tool you used. [Dev] Export and Import Assets between two GREG instances
Hi devs, I am trying to do $subject. I have few assets created in one instance of GREG and export them to the local file system. And I was able to successfully import them in to the second GREG instance. I can see the assets available in the Carbon management console. But It's not displayed in the store or publisher apps. Is there anything else required to do than the above? I refereed to [1] to import and export assets. Re: [Dev] [APIM] [C5] package-lock.json files are untracked
Package-lock is to generate the exact node modules tree when there are chain dependency version mismatches. Configuring the .npmrc to ignore the lock file is fixing the build breaks (We have config this in the publisher app ). But recommended approach is to commit the package-lock.json file so that the one committing the lock file can exactly project the node-modules tree on the one who's taking the checkout. thanks, Chanaka On Fri, Nov 3, 2017 at 7:35 PM, Harsha Kumara wrote: > Adding Chanka. > > @Chanka what would be the best here. [Dev] Few UUF improvements
Hi, Right now in APIM publisher implementation, we have a common client side javascript file (route.js) which we want share between a fragment "globalNavigation" and a page. This page is not including the above fragment. So we are keeping the route.js file in applications "public/js" folder. We include the route.js file from the fragment as follows. {{js "../../../components/root/base/js/route.js"}} Is there a better way to do this? FYI the {{js "js/route.js"}} is referring to the fragments public/js folder. Regarding the PR https://github.com/wso2/carbon-uuf-common/pull/12 UUFClient.renderFragment method will be more useful if it can inject content in to a element in dom by providing a css selector or the object itself in the method calls parameter list. It make more sense to provide the above instead of the zone. I have created the following git issue https://github.com/wso2/carbon-uuf-common/issues/14 thanks, Chanaka -- Chanaka Jayasena Associate Tech Lead, email: chan...@wso2.com; cell: +94 77 4464006 blog: http://chanaka3d.blogspot.com ___ Dev mailing list Dev@wso2.org http://wso2.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dev
Re: [Dev] Reading config.yaml file from client side
Hi, The "sendToClient" method is injecting the variables to the "js" placeholder in the layout. We have the "js" placeholder near the end of the page. When we try to access a variable from a js method that is defined before the sendToClient variable injections, it is giving errors. We can workaround this problem by wrapping our method calls inside document ready method. But as an improvement to the "sendToClient" method can we injection the variables to the header section of the page without depending on the placeholder. If that is not possible then prepending to the headJs will make the variables available to all the other scripts. thanks, Chanaka On Mon, Dec 19, 2016 at 1:42 PM, Chanaka Jayasena wrote: > Hi Shan, > > Cool thing.. [Dev] Consuming Rest Services with UUF
Hi Guys, Is there a stranded approach to do the $subject. We are in the process of migrating APIM to UUF. Plan is to use the existing Publisher and Store REST APIs. So we are not calling OSGI Services from the BE javascripts. I tried using XMLHttpRequest object but it doesn't seem to work with Nashorn. We can load the basic layout from UUF and call the REST API from the client side. But initially pushing data to view ( hbs file) from the controller ( Nashorn js file from a http call is a requirement IMO. Re: [Dev] [VOTE] Release WSO2 Governance Registry 5.1.0 RC 1
+1 I have tested the pack with the following scenarios. 1 - Creating a new artifact type and adding the artifact instance from the Governance Centre - publisher UI. 2 - Check unbounded tables with and without required field validation. With required attribute in at least one column of field definitions will validate 1 to n number of rows and without required attribute it’s 0 to n number of rows. 3 - Regex validation, 4 - Multiple validation for same field ( required and regex ) 5 - Unbounded tables with multipart form submission. 6 - Rxt field types checkbox, file and date. 7 - Sorting by name, date/time from publisher asset listing page. 8 - Sorting by name, date/time from store asset listing page. thanks, Chanaka On Fri, Oct 30, 2015 at 11:40 PM, Danesh Kuruppu wrote: > Hi Devs, > > WSO2 Governance Registry 5.1.0 RC1 Release Vote. > > This release fixes the following issues: > https://wso2.org/jira/issues/?filter=12499 > <https://wso2.org/jira/issues/?filter=12422> > Please download, test and vote. Re: [Dev] [ES]Overriding a Global Page returns TypeError: Cannot read property "types" from undefined
Issue seems to be with the navigation.hbs. To fix it add navigation.hbs to partial to /repository/deployment/server/jaggeryapps/store/extensions/app/store-device/themes/store/partials/. Start with an en empty file. You will be able to get rid of the error. Then type {{dump .}} in the file to see the data coming there. Try to compare the data with the original partial data in "store/themes/store/partials/pagination.hbs" thanks, Chanaka On Thu, Sep 10, 2015 at 11:15 AM, Rasika Perera wrote: > Hi all, > > I am trying to partially override a global page in ES v2. [Dev] Supporting required attribute of RXT fields with Enterprise Store
Hi All Supporting required attribute of RXT fields with Enterprise Store is implemented in the following manner. If the field defined as required then at the creation step of the asset the field is not read-only. But at the update step the field is read-only. Also in order to facilitate the requirement to have a readonly property for both create and edit steps we have introduce a new attribute from the Enterprise Store side. The attribute name is "auto" where it can be true or false. With a value of true will result in both create and edit steps to behave in read-only mode. Field "provider" in gadget is a common use case where it will be populated automatically without the users input. By overriding the asset.configure method, extension developers can add this extra attibute to each field in the RXT. thanks, Chanaka -- Chanaka Jayasena Senior Software Engineer; WSO2, Inc.; http://wso2.com/ email: chan...@wso2.com; cell: +94 77 785 5565 blog: http://chanaka3d.blogspot.com ___ Dev mailing list Dev@wso2.org http://wso2.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dev
[Dev] Enterprise Store - Template changes
Hi devs, This is to inform that the template structure has changed in Store application slightly in order to support infinite scrolling. A new template file is introduce "assets-thumbnails.hbs" and the content is asynchronously updated while the page is scrolling and resizing. If the assets.hbs has been overridden in a custom extension the infinite scroll will not work with them. In that case please merge the code in extensions with the new one to enable this feature. thanks, Chanaka -- Chanaka Jayasena Senior Software Engineer; WSO2, Inc.; http://wso2.com/ email: chan...@wso2.com; cell: +94 77 785 5565 blog: http://chanaka3d.blogspot.com ___ Dev mailing list Dev@wso2.org http://wso2.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dev

Re: [Dev] Applying new design to ES publisher app
@Shiva, it will be HTML5/css3 since we are developing on top of Bootstrap. I like this design and with the Open Sans font typology aspect seems to be good as well. There is a slight concern regarding the main blue colour. The logo colour use in the wso2.com is green. But current colour seems nice for the product rather than going for the logo green colour. We can leave out green and use the existing colour since we are not going to use that logo with the applications. We only use that logo in the Carbon web console. thanks, Chanaka On Fri, Jan 30, 2015 at 12:20 PM, Dhanuka De Silva wrote: > Thanks Shiva > > We will need to establish branding for ES first so then it can be applied > as the theme. > > And Sharon, will be coming up with UXD/Visual Designs for ES Public facing > part (At the moment its at the wireframing stage) and we will publish once > they are available. > > Would like to hear options! and always appreciate your opinion and > feedback. > > Cheers > > On Fri, Jan 30, 2015 at 12:10 PM, Shiva Balachandran > wrote: > >> Its actually a brilliant mixture! :) Looks very sleek and trendy, Just an >> opinion, what about integrating a bit of wso2 colors or ES colors into the >> theme? >> >> >> >> On Fri, Jan 30, 2015 at 12:05 PM, Dhanuka De Silva >> wrote: >> >>> Hi Shiva >>> >>> Thanks for your feedback.. >>> >>> Well its a combination of both Windows 8 (formerly Metro) and MS >>> Sharepoint 2013 adding slight variations into their guidelines improvising >>> more on flat design (over skeuomorphic design) >>> >>> Cheers >>> >>> On Fri, Jan 30, 2015 at 11:57 AM, Shiva Balachandran >>> wrote: >>> >>>> Hi Dhanuka, >>>> >>>> The New Design/Html looks good, Chanaka, out of curiosity, Are we going >>>> to be using HTML5/CSS3? >>>> >>>> Also, the UI/UX reminds me of Windows Metro or of Sharepoint 2013. +1 for trigger save event on checked instead of having save button. @Rushmin according to your description, the user is not able to view the subscriptions without clicking on the "Enterprise Subscriptions button". For Dev Studio we have to keep a consistent look for a given set of icons for a given category. Ex: "Endpoints, Extension etc..". That's why they all are in the same color. Re: [Dev] Carbon UI Programming - how to generate a input dialog with a drop down
You can use show a popup message using CARBON.showPopupDialog method. Try the following.. function doReRouteMessages(){ jQuery.ajax({ url:"path_to_ajaxprocessor.jsp", data:{key1:"val1",key2:"val2"}, type:"POST", success:function(data){ //Let's say data is something like the following string data = "queue1#queue2"; data = data.split("#"); var selectElement = ''; for(var i=0;i'+data[i]+''; } selectElement+=''; CARBON.showPopupDialog(selectElement,"Select a queue",200,true, function(){ var selectedQueue = jQuery('#allQueues').val(); alert("you have selected " + selectedQueue); //Do the rest of the the stuff you want to do with the UI here } ); } }); } Note: I am using jQuery instead of usual $ syntax, because of the conflict between jQuery and Prototype. Also I am assuming that "path_to_ajaxprocessor.jsp" is returning a sting in the given format in the code. I have hard coded it in there, but you can remove that line when you are getting an actual response. I have just written this method, but haven't tested it. But this should work :) thanks, Chanaka On Sun, Mar 30, 2014 at 9:31 PM, Hasitha Hiranya wrote: > Hi, > > I need to do following. > > I have a button In UI like below (which is inside a table) > > > class="icon-link" > onclick="doReRouteMessages()">ReRoute > > > then doReRouteMessages() method there should do this. > > *1. make a popup with a drop down in it.* > *2. drop down should show available queues in the system. Hi Devs, Recently there was a requirement to have all the icons replaced with custom ones from a single location. With the current implementation the icons resides in each components UI bundle. So we had to go and replace each and every icon in each ui bundle. I have done this on file org.wso2.carbon.ui-.jar\web\admin\template.js inside jQuery(document).ready call. Re: [Dev] Better real-time XML Syntax highlighter - Do we have any other alternatives to EditArea?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_JavaScript-based_source_code_editors I will evaluate and try to find a better alternative. But what ever the plugin is, when it comes to large source files, it will be doing bulk DOM manipulations. So possibly browser will hang. In ESB - Service Bus Configuration we have disable the syntax highlighting for large XML files. We can do the same for any other place with the same issue. thanks, Chanaka On Thu, Nov 8, 2012 at 11:22 AM, Kasun Indrasiri wrote: > EditArea does't work really well with large xml sources.
