Re: [Dev] Adding necessary dependencies to AppFactory maven archetypes

2014-05-28 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Following is the new dependency tree with minimum set of dependencies.
Webapp, jaxws and jaxrs archetypes are updated with these dependencies.

[INFO] +- javax:javaee-web-api:jar:6.0:provided
[INFO] +- javax.servlet:servlet-api:jar:2.4:provided
[INFO] +- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.registry.api:jar:4.2.0:provided
[INFO] +- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.user.api:jar:4.2.0:provided
[INFO] +- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.utils:jar:4.2.0:provided
[INFO] \- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.registry.core:jar:4.2.0:provided

And with these dependencies minimum M2 repo will be around 6MB. I have
added this as the tenant M2 repo in Jenkins.

Thank You.
Ranga.

[Dev] Adding necessary dependencies to AppFactory maven archetypes

2014-05-28 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Hi All,

This is regarding[1] and we need to provide necessary dependencies with App
Factory archetypes so that the end users will facilitate when writing codes
related to carbon related activities such as invoking registry. After
adding registry core and carbon core dependencies we noticed a maven build
delay due to transient dependencies. To avoid this I have exclude these
transient dependencies and following is the dependency tree taken from a
webapp. So these are the dependencies we are planing to add to archetypes.

[INFO] --- maven-dependency-plugin:2.1:tree (default-cli) @ app1 ---
[INFO] org.wso2.af:app1:war:default-SNAPSHOT
[INFO] +- javax:javaee-web-api:jar:6.0:provided
[INFO] +- javax.servlet:servlet-api:jar:2.4:provided
[INFO] +- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.registry.api:jar:4.2.0:provided
[INFO] +- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.user.api:jar:4.2.0:provided
[INFO] +- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.utils:jar:4.2.0:provided
[INFO] +- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.core:jar:4.2.0:provided
[INFO] +- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.registry.core:jar:4.2.0:provided
[INFO] \- org.wso2.carbon:org.wso2.carbon.logging:jar:4.2.0:provided

With these dependencies the initial build time is around 2.5 minutes at the
moment. And this is only for the first time build and the time will get
reduced from the next build. Hope this build time is good enough. If that
is not the case we will have to pack the initial .m2 repo which is around
9MB. Please let us know your concerns.

This need to be tested. Since AM also depend on hostobject, store and
publisher also may fail with SSO.

[Dev] SSO issue for tenant users

2013-10-08 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Hi devs,

We are using sso hostobject for appfactory sso purpose. We encountered
$Subject when login as a tenant user. Following are the issues encountered.

- tenant registry is not loaded during the signature validation phase
- decode method is not compatible with encode mechanism

We were able to get rid of this issue by loading tenant registry inside
hostobject (here we load tenant registry before signature validation) and
fixing decode method. Hope this issue will effect anyone who use sso
hostobject hence we need to commit this fix to current branch. Could some
one from IS team please review and commit this fix in[1]. Please let us
know if there is better ways to get rid of these issues as well.

Re: [Dev] [Commits] [Carbon-platform] svn commit r170429 - carbon/platform/branches/4.1.0/patch-releases/4.1.2/features

2013-04-18 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Hi Hasitha,

AppFactory components were there in 4.1.1 patch release earlier and we have
removed it later since we are not going to release it with 4.1.1. So all
the BPS features which were added by AF team also removed from 4.1.1 patch
release. So, outcome is 4.1.1 related BPS features not released at all..
You will have to create 4.1.2 features/components for all of these BPS
stuff and add it to 4.1.2 patch release. Please let us know if you have any
questions.

Thank You.
Ranga.

[Dev] How to include a Gadget in a Jaggary app

2012-11-23 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Hi Devs,

I have a requirement to add a gadget in to Jaggery app which is deployed on
AppFactory.

I tried to add a gadget in to a Jaggery page in following way.

<%
var gadget = require('gadget');
gadget.url = 'http://localhost:9763/portal/gadgets/hello.xml';
gadget.toHTML();
%>

Is that the correct way to do this? If so what is the recommended way to
add shindig dependencies required to carbon server?

Thank You.
Ranga.

Thank You.

Hi Sinthuja,

I tried to update and build
"platform/4.0.0/service-stubs/org.wso2.carbon.analytics.hive.stub/4.0.1".
But build time it gives following error and because of that I'm still
getting the previous build failure.

[Dev] Can not delete or move resources inside LifeCycle Executor

2012-08-02 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Hi,

I'm trying to move or delete a resource inside a class which extends
"org.wso2.carbon.governance.registry.extensions.interfaces.Execution"
class. Following is my my code segment which I'm trying to delete a
resource in the given path.

public boolean execute(RequestContext requestContext, String currentState,
String targetState) {
   // some more logic
   requestContext.getRegistry().delete(resourcePath);
}

Same way, the copy operation works without any issue. But move and
delete doesn't work as expected. Am I missing anything
here. Appreciate your feedback.

Thank You.
Ranga.

Yes.. This is an online build. It looks wss4j 1.5.11-wso2v3 is not in
nexus. Wss4j Upgrade solved the issue and now building fine.

Re: [Dev] Update on OpenStack + Jclouds

2012-05-30 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Hi,

At the same time we have tested the JCloud API with EC2 stuff (i.e.
creating new instance, terminating instance and getting instance states).
It works fine for EC2 related functions and we will try to test the same
for OpenStack setup today.

We were managed to fix LB related issue. Shall we start with a clean repo.
So we can identify if any issues still there.

[Dev] Did we removed "org.wso2.carbon.endpoint.common" component

2012-05-06 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Hi,

LB product build failed due to $Subject.
There is "org.wso2.carbon.endpoint.common" dependency in lb product and it
is not there inside endpoint component. Did we moved it to somewhere else?

Thank You.
Ranga.

[Dev] AWS orbit bundle missing in trunk

2012-05-04 Thread Ranga Siriwardena
Hi,

In 3.2.0 branch we have "aws.java.sdk" orbit bundle and it is not there in
the trunk. Any specific reason for this issue?
We need this bundle for EC2 auto-scaling stuff. So shall we add this to
trunk?

Thank You.
