Richard Gange created MGNLUI-2848 ckeditor disappears after a page reload Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Unassigned Created: 29/Apr/14 9:36 PM Description: You can test this on demo.magnolia-cms.com 1) Log in as superuser 2) Navigate to a page with rich text content, eg /demo-project/about/subsection-articles/large-article 3) Edit some rich text, eg Content -> Text and Image 1 4) The edit dialog will open, ckeditor will be visible. 5) With the dialog open, hit shift-reload in your browser 6) The page should reopen, only this time the ckeditor will not be visible If the editor dialog doesn't open, reopen it by editing the component. ckeditor will not be visible. This is reproducible on FF, Chrome and IE. The same problem occurs when the ckeditor is used in detail subapps. [magnolia-dev] [JIRA] (MGNLUI-2846) Rearrange the Apps screen to better demonstrate the idea of content pools / apps
Andreas Weder created MGNLUI-2846 Rearrange the Apps screen to better demonstrate the idea of content pools / apps Issue Type: New Feature Assignee: Unassigned Attachments: App screen changes.Step 1.png, App screen changes.Step 2.png Created: 29/Apr/14 2:53 PM Description: I've discussed some changes to the Apps screen with Pascal lately. One thing we'd like to see is a clearer distinction between apps for editing content (typically content apps) and apps that publish such content. More specifically, I propose we change the Apps screen in two steps to realize this idea: Add example content apps for "News", "Products", maybe "Events", while still keeping the "Contacts" apps. The content of these apps must be used by the demo project in order to unleash its full potential. Assemble content apps under the "Edit" group and add a second group (e.g. "Site" or "Gather/Collect/Assemble") for assembling such content on "Pages" using "Assets". The attached, two screenshots show both steps. We originally wanted to introduce such a change with 5.3, but the feedback I got was consistently sceptical to right out negative. The distinction between "page" and "non page" apps seems to feel too artificial still. I've thus decided to split this idea off the rest of the changes (mentioned in MGNLUI-2843) and only introduce them once we have a clearer idea about and an explicit focus on content pools and content apps in one of the releases following 5.3. My gut feeling also tells me that especially the second change would be best done once we add "virtual trees" to represent sites. Andreas Weder created MGNLUI-2844 Allow to use a new line char in app and group names Issue Type: Improvement Assignee: Unassigned Components: applauncher, design Created: 29/Apr/14 2:27 PM Description: It seems that the names of apps and groups on the Apps screen are all escaped: I can't seem to use , unicode characters or r and the like to force the rest of a string to flow to a new line. It starts become necessary to support any such newline character. Which one, I basically don't care. [magnolia-dev] [JIRA] (MGNLUI-2843) Rearrange the Apps screen to emphasize personalization as feature
Andreas Weder updated MGNLUI-2843 Rearrange the Apps screen to emphasize personalization as feature Change By: Andreas Weder (29/Apr/14 2:10 PM) Description: I've discussed a rearranged Apps screen with Pascal in order to *better promote personalization as a new feature* when we release 5.3.The current layout chooses a different approach: it positions personalization as an every-day feature and thus spreads its apps among the existing groups. We'd like to change that and *assemble all personalization apps under a single app group*. That will put more emphasis on the new feature and positions personalization as an additional set of tasks you perform on content when putting it online. At the same time, we're also *going to rename some of the apps and groups* to make them more expressive. This may actually *require some code changes* as well. The *list of changes* are:* fix name of "Forum" app to be "Forums" (plural)* rename "Contacts" app to "Custom Content" on Apps screen (no need to rename it code or module or to change the name anywhere else, e.g. on the main/browser tab).* move all personalization apps into a custom group "Target" using the [yellow group color|http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/UX/Style+guides+for+visual+design#Styleguidesforvisualdesign-Colorsofappgroups]** rename the "Preview" app to "Preview as Visitor"** fix name of "Segmentation" app to be "Segments"* rename the "Manage" group to "Set up"* rename the "Google Sitemaps" app to "Sitemaps" (only on Apps screen - no need to change it anywhere else, including the main tab).* reorder closed groups: "data", "tools", "stk", "dev"* change color of the "STK" group to be the light green group color (also requires dark green text font color - see [here|http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/UX/Style+guides+for+visual+design#Styleguidesforvisualdesign-Colorsofappgroups] . The "Tools" and "Dev" group continue to use the dark grey group color. The attached * screenshot shows the desired end result * .
