Hi everyone! The week of November 7th I was at a meeting of the C++ Standards Committee in Issaquah, Washington. (Apologies for forgetting to announce the meeting in advance, as I've done for previous meetings.)
Exciting progress was made at this meeting as we polished the feature set of C++17 and were looking forward to C++20. Please see my blog post [1] for a detailed account. If you're interested in keeping up with C++ standardization, in addition to reading my blog posts about meetings I encourage you to look at the proposals being considered, the latest of which can be found here [2]. As always, feel free to reach out to me with feedback about a proposal, or if you're considering submitting a proposal of your own.
