FW: Vodafone UK Connection

2001-07-30 Thread Michael Mulcahy

Hi David,

What does the kannel logs show? send in the bearerbox logs so that we
can get an idea of what may be the problem.

Can I assume that the HSI card takes TCP/IP packets and puts them into
X.25?

The OIS uses two connections, one for outbound messages and one for inbound!
The connections are shortlived and are started when a message is sent!

Regards,
Michael Mulcahy.

Is anyone using Kannel on the UK Vodafone network? I am having trouble with
setting up a correct kannel.conf file.
I have a Sun server with a Sun HSI card connected to the Vodafone network
using X.25 (64k link)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
David Buckley

Howdy,

Please send emails to the list in text form *only*. Many people do not use
mail readers which can read HTML, and we want to retain compatibility with
as many readers as possible.

Thanks,

Is the WTP fragmentation is working in v.1.0.3 ? I did some tests and
checked the transmission with etherreal. When i set the MTU of my
ethernet card to 128 bytes, the packet fragmentation is done by the IP
stack and not by the WTP layer. Any ideas on this?

Kannel does not implement WTP fragmentation and reassembly. One reason
for this is that IP indeed
does it. This argument does not apply to non-IP bearers, of course.
