Re: Kannel on Solaris 8

2002-10-17 Thread Stipe Tolj

BTW, forgot to say it.

At least or Solaris 2.6 box has a ploblem with pthread mutex. I don't
know if it is our box specific or general for Solaris.

What happens is following:

An ACK is received by bearerbox and the mutex triggers the store file
to clear the message. While this is hapening a new ACK from SMSC comes
away and that one is not ACKed in the store file.

So what you see is a temporarly (slow) growing store file, even while
all messages that are marked unACKed in there have been ACKed
(evidenced by bearerbox.log).

You can simulate the behaviour by setting a test bearerbox smsbox up
with several fakesmsc connections and file a lot of traffic to smsbox.

This behaviour is not observed on Linux nor Cygwin.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes worked out of the box. Noticed the solaris
directory in code tree and tried to make a package although it seems a
bit broken. What is the status of this? Anyone interested in patches to
get it working, etc?

should build of the box. Remember to use GNU make insteak of Solaris
own, that's the only thing to mention, AFAIK.
