yes, we did this for quite a while, but using a Windows NT based GSM-Modem
driver, _not_ Kannel.

Hi,

I've just sent this PDU with my Nokia 7110
and it works! Have you already tested the
new firmware?

Or is anybody able to send ringtones with
Siemens M20?

Re: Siemens M20 and ringtones

2001-07-22 Thread Bruno David Simões Rodrigues

Yep, my two M20T also have that bug.

I can only use 00 (default text), F5 (binary mode) and F0 (flash - message
class 0).
Every other DCS is rejected or accepted as flash: UC2 encoding, MWI and
others.

It sucks really because I change to a nokia 6210 with infrared and every DCS
combination
works.

Alexei sent this link http://www.gapag.de/ger/downloads/content.html with a
firmware,
but I think it's the same version that the one I have (5.4). But I'll try to
flash it anyway.
You'll have to make a power cable that connects pin5 with pin1 or 4 to
activate firmware
flash. TOmorrow I'll go search for cables for it (I hope Network department
have cables and
that material).

I'll tell you what happens when I do it.

Re: Siemens M20 and ringtones

2001-07-20 Thread Bruno David Simões Rodrigues

That looks like a valid pdu to me.

This is one pdu that works for me:
00
51
00
098121436587F9 - National number, 9 digits
00
F5 - It should work with F5 or 15
A7 - kannel's validity period default
42
0605041581
024A3A65CDD5C195C989BDC9AC040042D8E512624E314498688930C2EC30C2A42EC2AC2EC244
2CC2AC2CC41C224AB09B09309B0AA08A1071068000

Are you sending it through kannel or directly ?

if sending directly, the AT+CMGS= value doesn't count the first 00 (so it's
one less thant the full pdu length)
