IMO, this makes sense in some extend and if the code is clean and fits well, I'll be reviewing. RE: header rewriting in Kannel
To have configuration mapping on your application level is much much easy than to rewrite kannel each time new model comes out. Also mangled header will confuse another application if you some day decide to have it. > -Original Message- > From: Jakob Dalsgaard [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2004 2:27 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: header rewriting in Kannel > > > To Kannel Development > > First of all thanks for a great product - I'm currently using > it to test > various phones - and in connection with that, I have a question: > > Has anyone developed "header rewriting" for Kannel? > > I've skimmed the devel mailing list and couldn't find anything about > header rewriting. header rewriting in Kannel
To Kannel Development First of all thanks for a great product - I'm currently using it to test various phones - and in connection with that, I have a question: Has anyone developed "header rewriting" for Kannel? I've skimmed the devel mailing list and couldn't find anything about header rewriting. My reason for asking is that rewriting "SonyEricssonT68i" to "SonyEricssonT610" in the "User-Agent" header would limit the number of physical phones I would need to have on my table, and allow me to test wapping using phones I do not even have so some sort of regexp replacement (or just string-matching) of the headers before they are sent to the webservers would fulfill my requirements. If noone has done it, but someone could see the use for it, would it then be accepted as a patch to Kannel, should I develop it myself? (considered that the quality is good enough off course...) -- Med venlig hilsen/Best regards Jakob Dalsgaard = Cyber Com Group A/S Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://www.cybercomgroup.com GSM: +45 2948 3803 ### This message has been scanned by F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange.
