That's one of the reasons I like to poke around in the collection like
this; we fine all sorts of old things that should probably be cleaned
up. I'll probably do a run like this a couple of times a year (if I can
remember).

Nope. A deliberate request/Feature.

Deleting things was a constant source of pain and doom in bodhi1 for
releng and qa at least. People would delete updates and then we would
have no record of what negative comments were placed against them,
bodhi1 would untag things (sometimes in the middle of pushes making
tags confused and then with no update no idea what the correct state is
sometimes).

Deleting updates is almost as bad as deleting builds.

But %define isn't a "local definition" in the sense that you're thinking
of. It's certainly visible outside of %check, for example. Which
actual property of %define are you relying upon here? I don't think
you're doing anything specific with nested macro expansions.

It doesn't really make that much difference in the packages you mention,
but you seem to have some misconception of the differences between
%global and %define.

See:

I wouldn't say that, I think its just that we couldn't figure out what
your actual issue was or how to direct you.

How did you install lxqt?

It seems the comps group installs lxqt-policykit, which should
hopefully handle asking you things like these.

So, I would suggest:

sudo dnf install @lxqt-desktop

(This will ensure you have the entire desktop installed). If that
doesn't fix things, try filing a bug on lxqt-policykit:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora&version=23&component=lxqt-desktop

Hope that gets you closer to things working as you would like.

Same problem we've had for a while - still booting to a black screen.

This looks to be some sort of openQA hiccup, like it missed clicking a
button properly or something. I re-started the test and it looks to be
running fine.
