If the buildroot is broken, then you won't be able to do it, since
dnf-plugins-core is required for mock.

But ordinarily, no, they only require DNF, so they can be built in parallel.

The update of dnf-plugins-core and dnf-plugins-extras is ready for rawhide.
But I cannot make fedpkg build due to error:
Kerberos authentication fails: unable to obtain a session
Could not execute build: Could not login to

I will ask a college to do it for me.

Sorry, I caused that. I cleaned out some packages that were stuck in the

In my fresh Rawhide buildroot
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildrootinfo?buildrootID=11315754
I got
annobin-3.1-2.fc28.x86_64.rpm
which contains
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/7/plugin/annobin.so.0.0.0
while latest annobin build
annobin-3.3-1.fc28
already contains
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/8/plugin/annobin.so.0.0.0
which is needed for gcc v8 in the buildroot I got
gcc-8.0.1-0.9.fc28.x86_64.rpm
I am only curious why fresh Rawhide buildroots still have so old annobin when
annobin-3.3-1.fc28 has been built on Jan 30th - 5 days ago.

Rawhide buildroot broken?

2018-02-04 Thread Doug Ledford
I'm having an issue, and as far as I can tell it's not in my package.
The rdma-core package uses cmake and ninja-build to build itself, and
the very first test in the CMakeLists.txt makefile is the TestCCompiler
test that is shipped with CMake, not one of our own tests. And it's
failing because it can't run gcc. The failure there is this:

[1/2] Building C object CMakeFiles/cmTC_8f50c.dir/testCCompiler.c.o
FAILED: CMakeFiles/cmTC_8f50c.dir/testCCompiler.c.o
/usr/bin/cc -O2 -g -pipe -Wall -Werror=format-security
-Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -Wp,-D_GLIBCXX_ASSERTIONS -fexceptions
-fstack-protector-strong -grecord-gcc-switches
-specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-hardened-cc1
-specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-annobin-cc1 -m64 -mtune=generic
-fasynchronous-unwind-tables -fstack-clash-protection -mcet -fcf-protection -o
CMakeFiles/cmTC_8f50c.dir/testCCompiler.c.o -c testCCompiler.c
cc1: fatal error: inaccessible plugin file plugin/annobin.so expanded from
short plugin name annobin: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
ninja: build stopped: subcommand failed.

So, where is the gcc plugin annobin? Is there a BuildRequires: that I
need to add with gcc-8.0.1 that I didn't know about? And if there is,
why isn't it part of the Build package group since the RPM macros the
build system defines are the ones telling gcc to use annobin?

It's broken. ;)

I've already untagged it and mailed the maintainer who is looking into
it.

Should be ready to build after the next newrepo finishes.

Since Orion will push the new hdf5 to rawhide and rebuild the affected
packages and since octave is one of them the problem should be fixed
soon. :-)

I've been a lazy slob and have been waiting for the next octave release
candidate which should fix a problem with the build. Now that I've got to
rebuild for hdf5 as well I may get off my ass an make a patch since there
doesn't seem to be any progress towards a new rc.

Probably you want to try rebuilding octave first.

Yes. There is a chance that a simple rebuild will be good enough.

Rawhide buildroot broken - I rebuilt libtool

2012-06-29 Thread Richard W.M. Jones

DEBUG util.py:257: Error: Package: libtool-2.4.2-3.fc17.x86_64 (build)
DEBUG util.py:257: Requires: gcc = 4.7.0
DEBUG util.py:257: Installed: gcc-4.7.1-1.fc18.x86_64
(@build/$releasever)
DEBUG util.py:257: gcc = 4.7.1-1.fc18
DEBUG util.py:257: You could try using --skip-broken to work around the
problem
DEBUG util.py:257: You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

The libtool spec file says:

  # /usr/bin/libtool includes paths within gcc's versioned directories
  # Libtool must be rebuilt whenever a new upstream gcc is built
  Requires: gcc = %{gcc_version}

Thus I have just bumped %{gcc_version} (in libtool / Rawhide only) and
rebuilt libtool.

Rich.
