I built a snapshot of Calamares master (with support for the new kpmcore) in
Rawhide:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=817259

I expect this to get released around the same time as KPM.

Huh? That address works fine, I just sent a test mail to it and it arrived.

You can also use calamares-ow...@fedoraproject.org (which, according to the
policies, should have been CCed on this announcement).

It's not my "new" e-mail address, it's the actual ISP account to which
ke...@tigcc.ticalc.org also forwards. But sure, you can send to it directly.

That would be appreciated. Though I don't think it matters much if Calamares
is broken for a few days in Rawhide. :-)

(By the way, you can write me in Italian if you want, I'm an Italian citizen
and, even though I was born and live in Austria and was taught German as a
mother tongue, I speak Italian fluently.)

Kpmcore usually bumps soname when they make some incompatible API changes
(that of course also change the ABI), not just ABI, so there are usually
other changes needed. Calamares has them done already, in its master branch,
I will update the package to a snapshot in Rawhide. I think a release is
planned when the kpmcore release happens.

OK, I can update Calamares in Rawhide to master.

Shall we take commit access to each other's packages in the stack (kpmcore,
kde-partitionmanager, calamares) to coordinate this kind of updates? Also so
that we will also be able to push them to stable releases (at least F25,
which will be out by then) when the new versions get officially released? I
can give you commit access to calamares if you want it. (That said, I am
probably the one who knows best what changes, if any, are needed to the
config files from one release to another, so it's probably best if I take
care of the Rawhide package.)

Hi Kevin,
I've tried to contact you directly to inform of the soname bump, but in
FAS I found the email ke...@tigcc.ticalc.org which gave me an error of
nonexistent domain when sending the email... now I will take note of
this your new email address and I will inform you a week ahead of a new
soname bump.

There's no problem to give you commit access to kpmcore and
kde-partitionmanager, if you give me commit access to calamares I can
chain build it when a new libkpmcore soname bump will happen (if there
are no other changes required).

Thanks
