Yeah, I see now why.
They're blocked by bugs that are not CLOSED, even though the packages
were already imported.

Looks like the commits do not have a `rhbz#...` mesage and the bodhi
updates do not reference it for closure. I usually use `fbrnch import`
which makes sure the message is formatted accordingly.

I'm not sure. I don't see anything in the reviews that pops out to
me. Does the dashboard take the fedora-review-service build status into
account perhaps? These wouldn't build before because they depended on
packages that were also in review (the ones you had previously reviewed :)).

Review swaps

2024-08-16 Thread Peter Lemenkov
Hello All! 2-nd try (a first message was sent w/o subject).
I swill have a few packages for Review and I am willing to return a favour.

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2304209 - solidity - Object-oriented,
high-level language for implementing smart contracts
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2304178 - python-solcx - Python wrapper
and version management tool for the Solidity compiler
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2304214 - python-cid - Self-describing
content-addressed identifiers
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2304321 - python-ledgerwallet - A
library to control Ledger devices

The last one is tricky. Although it passes the tests a small part of
it isn't going to work without a more recent Google's protobuf library
which is still not available even in Rawhide.

signed Vyper compiler binaries into user's ~/.vvm directory. Later
user can use these binaries for smart-contracts' reproducible and
verified builds.

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2303760 - erlang-rebar3-gpb - A protobuf
compiler for rebar3. This is a Rebar3 plugin intended for Erlang
source code generation from Google protobuffs' protocol definition
files.

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2303752 -

Review swaps

2024-08-08 Thread Jerry James
I've got some GAP packages awaiting review. I am willing to swap
reviews. Some people are reluctant to review these packages, because
they are unfamiliar with GAP and the package descriptions sound scary.
But the spec files are actually quite simple. Besides, if you review
one of these, you can go to the pub tonight, turn to the person next
to you and say, "I don't mean to brag, but today I reviewed a package
that computes with numerical semigroups and affine semigroups. It
wasn't easy, but somebody had to do it."

gap-pkg-kbmag: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2277899
gap-pkg-4ti2interface: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2303280

gap-pkg-lins: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2303283

More review swaps!

2024-08-04 Thread Peter Lemenkov
Hello All!
I've got a few more reviews to swap. 1st here are Python ones:

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2299988 - python-asn1tools - ASN.1
parsing, encoding and decoding
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2302539 python-lazy_load - A
minimalistic interface that allows lazy evaluation
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2302726 - python-dataclassy - An
enhanced, tiny reimplementation of dataclasses
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2302732 - python-morphys - Smart
conversions between unicode and bytes types

A more complex application is

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2299981 - vyper - Pythonic Smart
Contract Language for the EVM

I would want to say a bit about the latter one. It it considered that
in case of a Ethereum contract you need a very specific build. This
one isn't very aligned with this deployment strategy. However I
believe that simplifying a smart contract testing/deployment can be
done with this one. Adding this to Fedora simplifies things so I
believe we should consider adding it.

And the last Erlang-related one is this one (Re-review):

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2299656 - erlang-esip - ProcessOne SIP
server component in Erlang

Review swaps once again.

2024-07-23 Thread Peter Lemenkov
Hello All!
I've got a few packages waiting for review and I am willing to review
yours in return.

First I have two Erlang-related packages. Both passes unit-tests,
builds just fine,

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2299556 - erlang-gpb, a modern Google
Protobuf compiler for Erlang.
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2296364 - erlang-hut, yet another one
logging library for Erlang.

Also I have these three Python packages:

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2297640 - python-base58, Base58 and
Base58Check implementation
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2293913 - python-lru-dict, A fast and
memory efficient LRU cache
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2293503 -
python-pygments-lexer-solidity, Solidity lexer for Pygments

Please choose any of these ones.

Re: Review swaps

2024-07-03 Thread Peter Lemenkov
Hello and thanks for the opportunity. I'll review a few of your
packages. Could you please pick any of these ones and review them
back?

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2293369 - erlang-gun (a HTTP client).
Unfortunately no %check section for this one yet.
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2294403 - erlang-hyper (a re-review of a
retired package)
* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2295183 - erlang-jose (a re-review of a
retired package). Unfortunately no %check section either since the
tests relies on a few packages we don't have in Fedora yet..

Review swaps

2024-07-02 Thread Jerry James
I have a few packages needing review. I am happy to swap reviews or
do other packaging chores of comparable complexity for you.

These first two are needed to do a large update of the Jane Street
OCaml packages. There is a COPR here with the packages involved:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/jjames/JaneStreet/builds/

ocaml-intrinsics-kernel: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2294765
ocaml-ppxlib-jane: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2294766

These two are lower priority. They are additions to our collection of
GAP packages.

Review swaps anyone?

2024-06-18 Thread Peter Lemenkov
Hello All!
Is anyone willing to swap reviews? I've got the following
Erlang-related.ones. Although the language isn't a popular one the
spec-files are quite clean and simple, packages builds cleanly with
Koji and one of them passed all the tests successfully.

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2279634 erlang-epgsql -
Erlang PostgreSQL client library. This one requires PostgreSQL set up
and running for tests so they are disabled for now. Re-Review.

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2279676 Review Request:
erlang-cache_tab - Erlang cache table application. Build and Runtime
dependency for some other libraries. Re-Review.

* https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2292962 erlang-ct_helper
- Helper modules for common_test suites. Requires for some other
packages to pass the unit-tests. Unstream doesn't provide any tests
yet.

Review swaps

2024-05-20 Thread Antoine Damhet
Hi everyone,

I have a few packages awaiting reviews. Off course, I am willing to
exchange (yet I'm still new so be gentle :D ).

Two `pass` related packages:
* An audit plugin for the password store to find leaks or weak
  passwords, written in python
  pass-audit: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2249375
* The native agent for browser integration, written in go
  browserpass: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2251506

Woob, a python utilities suite allowing API/command line usage of many
websites that do not provide a public API.

  woob: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2251506

And lastly a synapse (the matrix homeserver) plugin that allows bridges
or bot to authenticate as any user on the homeserver, written in python.

  matrix-synapse-shared-secret-auth:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2251507

python-networkx 3.3 + review swaps

2024-05-01 Thread Jerry James
Version 3.3 of NetworkX was released a few weeks ago. It needs pydot
>= 2.0.0.  I have opened
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/pydot/pull-request/4.

Also, if we are going to continue generating documentation for
python-networkx [1], then I need some package reviews. I am willing
to swap reviews for these:
- python-jupytext: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2278420
- python-jupyter-server-mathjax:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2278421
- python-nbdime: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2278422
- python-jupyter-cache: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2278423
- python-myst-nb: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2278424

Builds for all of these packages, plus pydot and python-networkx, are
available from https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/jjames/Jupyter/.

Footnotes:
[1] And I want to, if for no other reason than that the doctests have
turned up problems in the past.
I feel much better about doing a python-networkx upgrade if the
doctests all pass.

I still need a reviewer for scip. If we can get the last couple of
reviews finished by tomorrow, I will still have time to get this all
built before F40 beta freeze. Please help.

Thanks to Benson Muite, papilo has been reviewed and soplex is under
review. I still need reviewers for scip and coin-or-HiGHS. If you
don't have a package that needs review right now, I can give you a
rain check, or I can do some other task for you.

Just a few package reviews to go! This is what remains to be done:

- papilo: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2253360
- soplex: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2253361

These will need to be reviewed with respect to the [COPR mentioned
above](https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/jjames/SCIP/), since I
can't build asl in Rawhide without breaking the existing mp package,
so the rest all has to be done at once in a side tag.

Two review swaps

2023-12-26 Thread Lyes Saadi
Hello and happy holidays !

I have two review requests I'd like to swap with anyone willing to !

1. python-pyfiglet : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1876108
This one has been in a legal hell for a 3 years ! But, it is finally freed from
legal and updated to the new guidelines ! I'm swapping this because it would
otherwise never get reviewed ^^'. Everything concerning legalese should be
sorted and it had initially been approved, but it might cause you some trouble
if you are allergic to anything legal :P.

2. python-willow : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2255935
Just a simple dependency needed to upgrade Setzer ! This package though needs
another one to be updated before being shipped to Fedora, I'm just hoping to
get it approved so that I can push it as soon as the dependency in question is
updated. A successful COPR build with the updated dependency is provided, so
that shouldn't be a problem.

Happy holidays,
Lyes Saadi--

SoPlex and SCIP review swaps

2023-12-06 Thread Jerry James
Kevin Kofler noted about a year ago [1] that new versions of the solvers
SoPlex [2] and SCIP [3] were released under free software licenses. Over the
last year, I've been working little by little on building them in a COPR [4]
and rebuilding various Fedora packages with SoPlex and SCIP support. I
believe we have reached the point where we can start integrating this work
into Fedora.

I need reviews for the following new packages. I am willing to swap reviews.

ASL vs. mp
--
Many of the coin-or packages currently BuildRequires mp-devel. They really
only need the ASL part of mp. Upstream has split the two projects into
separate git repositories; see the new asl package listed above. This will
reduce the number of runtime dependencies for the coin-or packages.

Since the new asl package conflicts with the current mp package, the
introduction of asl, modification of mp, and rebuilding of affected coin-or
packages all need to be done at once. Once all of the reviews are complete,
they will be built in a side tag.

i386 removal

Some of the new packages need some work to build correctly on i386. Why
bother? Let's not build for i386 in the first place. That means, however,
that some of the packages that sit on top of them will need to be modified to
stop building for i386 as well. That is the extent of the modifications to
some of these packages (e.g., freefem++).

Since opencv and openms are both still built for i386, the packages that they
depend on (including the new asl package) must also be built for i386 for now.

Review swaps for deps needed for conda update

Trivial review swaps

2023-10-08 Thread Mattia Verga via devel
Hello folks,

I have a couple of trivial packages waiting for reviews:

- libahp-gt - Driver library for the AHP GT Controllers
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2237299)
- libahp-xc - Driver library for the AHP XC Correlators
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2237300)

I'd happy to swap reviews with anyone in need. Comments from new
packagers in need of sponsorship are welcome (though I'm not a sponsor).

Thank you

Thank you, Scott. Having someone familiar with cvc5 review it would be great.

Like I just told Richard, there is a thread about fixing fedora-review
in place:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/QMCHW3ZUTKLPIDARUFKPINA3VBSI3OT5/

I've used that to do ... what? Four reviews, I think? I haven't
encountered any trouble so far. (Which doesn't mean you won't, of
course!)

MuseScore 4.1.0, along with a package rename:

All of the above are available in a COPR:

Sorry, that was a typo, it should've been f39-build-side-69808.
Packages that are pending review can be test-built against the

Review swaps for easy Rust packages

2023-07-17 Thread Fabio Valentini
Hi all,

In order to update the "log" crate (the canonical logging facade for
Rust; packaged as rust-log) to the latest version, I need to package a
few new dependencies. Some have already been updated / built in a
rawhide side tag (f39-build-side-69898), but some are still missing. I
hope to be able to finish this update before the mass rebuild happens,
otherwise the packages will be broken.

The packages that are still pending review are very simple. They are
100% unmodified output of rust2rpm, with tests enabled, with license
files included, etc. I can offer to review similarly simple packages
(Rust, Python, CMake, meson) in return.

- rust-sval_test: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217030
- rust-sval_ref: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217032
- rust-sval_buffer: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217037
- rust-sval_fmt: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217034
- rust-serde_buf: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217023
- rust-sval_serde: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217044
- rust-value-bag-serde1: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217024
- rust-value-bag-sval2: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217056

I'm also waiting for reviews of the missing dependencies of ntpd-rs
(an NTP implementation with NTS support written in Rust):

- rust-tower: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214392
- rust-tower-http: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214428
- rust-axum: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214429
- rust-prometheus-client: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214431

These are pretty simple packages as well, but not quite 100%
boilerplate as the sval/value-bag stuff.

I've also submitted a review for the "gimoji" application:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214339

Review swaps

2023-03-20 Thread Jerry James
Hi all,

I am in need of some package reviews, and am happy to swap. First, I
think I have finally beaten MuseScore 4.x into good enough shape for
Fedora. This has been a months-long process. I need some font
reviews:

makemusic-finale-fonts: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2152347
edwin-fonts: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2180241
leland-fonts: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2180242

We currently have MuseScore in the mscore package. I have been asked
a couple of times to rename the package to musescore, to make it
easier for users to discover. Here is a rename review, while
simultaneously changing to version 4.0.2, just to make things more
complicated:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2180243

I also have a couple of simple python packages that need reviews, but
these are lower priority for me than the reviews above.

python-accessible-pygments: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2176933
python-pytest-cython: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2173018

Review swaps

2022-12-17 Thread Mattia Verga via devel
I have filed a few package requests to get python's openapi-core into
Fedora repositories, each one depends on the previous one:

- python-pathable https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2154186
  |- python-jsonschema-spec
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2154188

They should be all quite straightforward, I can swap some reviews in

This is a new dependency blocking an update to one of my existing (Go)
packages. Autogenerated spec, should be a trivial review.

2) Bug 2126785 - Review Request: usbrelay
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2126785

USB-connected electrical relay control, based on hidapi

I can review these later today. I have the following simple CMake C++ library
to swap:

iir1 - DSP IIR Realtime C++ filter library

And another CMake C++ library, Loguru, coming up soon. I will ask you about

I'm working on an update to sympy, to version 1.11. This version has
several backwards incompatible changes. I inspected the consuming
packages for use of the backwards incompatible APIs and found none.
Just in case, I did local mock builds of each one, and the builds were
all successful, including runs of their test suites. The consuming
packages are:

- python-boutdata
- python-brian2
- python-fiat
- python-nipy
- python-pysb
- python-trimesh
- sagemath

It is no longer possible to build the sympy documentation, due to
missing dependencies. However, I have already noted other packages I
maintain that need each of these. That tells me it is time to get
them into Fedora. I would like to swap reviews for the following:

- python-sphinx-basic-ng: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121593
- python-furo: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121594,
needs python-sphinx-basic-ng
- python-uc-micro-py: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121595
- python-linkify-it-py:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121596, needs
python-uc-micro-py
- python-sphinx-documatt-theme:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121597
- python-sphinx-reredirects:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121598, needs
python-sphinx-documatt-theme

Let me know what I can review for you.

Review swaps

2022-08-22 Thread Artur Frenszek-Iwicki
Hey all,

I have two packages which have been sitting in review for some time now:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2095732
daniel-wikholm-segment16-fonts - collection of 3 font families.
Bit problematic because of missing license text, not having an official source
website, nor a way to contact the author.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2098373
gearhead2 - an RPG game, written in Pascal, using SDL1.2.
Fairly straight-forward. The prequel, gearhead1, is already in the repos, and
the spec files are very similar.

If anyone could take a look at one of these, I'd be grateful.
I'm willing to review some C, C++, Pascal or shell stuff in return.

mingw-qt6-qtwebsockets
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2009268 -
mingw-qt6-qtmultimedia (depends on mingw-qt6-qtshadertools)
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2009269 -

They're required to package datalad, which is required for

Many thanks to Ben Beasley, who reviewed all of the other packages. I
still need a reviewer for this one. Who is up for a font package
review? I'll do something for you in return.

Review swaps

2021-08-11 Thread Jerry James
Hi all,

Who would like to swap package reviews? I need these 6:

fontawesome5-fonts
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1989300
This one has been mentioned previously on this mailing list. It is
blocking the review of python-pydata-sphinx-theme, which is needed to
update python-networkx.

flintqs
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1992877
Currently bundled with sagemath, but useful in its own right.

gp2c
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1992878
A PARI/GP script to C converter, needed by sagemath.

pari-nflistdata
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1992879
Data tables for PARI, needed by sagemath.

pari-nflistdata
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1992880
More data tables for PARI, needed by sagemath.

python-pari-jupyter
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1992881
A Jupyter kernel for PARI/GP, needed by sagemath.

This is the last review I need for the python-networkx update. I'm
willing to swap reviews or other technical favors.

Re: Review swaps: A bunch of PHP libraries

2021-07-19 Thread Remi Collet

Le 16/07/2021 à 10:39, Christopher Engelhard a écrit :

Hi all,
I finally found some time to unbundle all the 3rdparty PHP/composer
libraries from the nextcloud package.

The bad news is that due to their various dependency trees, I now have a
total of 24 new packages that need reviewing.
The good news is that I think quite a few of them will be generally
useful beyond just nextcloud.

They are all fairly small & simple PHP libraries, build without issues
and are basically identical in terms of packaging. If there are people
out there who'd like to try their hand at reviewing for the first time,
one of these might be a good place to start.

From a quick look, for all these packages
it seems useful to include upstream test suite
by pulling a git snapshot (common practice in PHP to workaround
the stupid .gitattributes usage)

Unbundling make sense when we can run CI (Koschei) and ensure
changes in the PHP stack (ex PHP 8.0 in F35 or 8.1 in F36) don't break

Also use range dependencies everywhere (even if a single version
packaged), this can change in the future.

I should be able to review (or help) on this set of reviews.

the PHP SIG mailing list (php-devel@...) is probably a better
place if you have any question about PHP specific packaging

Remi

Obviously, if you need something reviewed in return, I'd be happy to do
that.

Full list of links is below, but to make it easier for people
- I set up a dependency tree (
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?bug_id=1981857&bug_id_type=anddependson&format=tvp&list_id=12016550
) so you can pick a leaf.
- I made a copr repository (
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/lcts/nextcloud/packages/ ) that
has builds for all of these, including fedora-review/rpmlint logs (and a
big thank you to whoever made that last bit possible in Copr, that was
*extremely* useful). The repo also contains a few forks of existing
packages, ignore those :) .

Best,
Christopher
