Nope. Worst case, we lose somehow on the very few real CTest units
being built (if we need to make a distinction between those and MP).

We should probably change the kernel identifier from "C1" to "R1"
in arch/i386/kernel/olpc.c, then.

Board Revision

2007-08-23 Thread John Watlington

Given the few changes between C-Test and MP, I don't see a real need
to change the board ID value
reported to the EC.

Does anyone feel differently ?

The same happened to me too. Seems like a severe bug in glibc's
locale description. For example, the sort comand would output
lines sorted by length instead of alphabetically!

I'll try again with fedora devel's RPM. If it doesn't work, then
I guess we should file a bug upstream.

I just checked at GG extension ; it should work almost without work on
XR. The overlay is only a menuitem ; rest of the extension is
components and for-extension-only files.

Who was doing that earlier work? I would specifically like to find a
way to get google gears to work under these circumstances, as a
broadly useful open source project that has been well received and
that is being used for many new applications online to make them fast
offline...

Activities using system application

2007-08-23 Thread Tiago Stein D'agostini
Hi

I am trying to make one activity spawn a system application, so that I can
use something that is already ready, working and perfect and not re-write
it. But when I try to make the application spawn it (o.system("mane of
command") ) the activity simply closes, with no signals of what is
going on.

I already did it in the past, several moths ago, starting up a text editor
for example, but i don remember anymore what was the secret.

can anyone help me?
