RFC: make GS evdev relative by default
NOTE: as the subject says, this is really just being released
for *comment*. Not as a candidate patch.
It seem to be needing this to get the GS to work fine with
xf86-input-evdev 1.2, the version of the driver updated for the
X sever 1.4.
I'm not sure why, but if I leave the GS in absolute mode, only
the Y axis works fine. The X axis gets stuck all the way to the
left of the screen.
I have to admit I forgot why I had to disable the ABS_PRESSURE
axis. Probably not needed, but I need to re-test just in case.
One last thing: where do those magic numbers 350, 512, 70 and 325
come from? They may have something to do with this bug:

This is really awesome. Would you have opposition to later repurposing the code as part of the Sugar system? We've had plans for providing several view options for the Neighborhood view, this being one of the important ones. While I'm not sure how well it fits into the activity model, this would go great next to the "groups" and "list" views (the former is the one that's partially implemented now, the latter will provide a formal, sortable list view and isn't implemented at all yet). It will provide more to kids as part of the Neighborhood view, since it can provide important info that's relevant when starting chats, inviting people, and joining activities. Hm, isn't it worth attempting to figure out why, then? Userspace can
convert between ABS and REL axis with ioctls, I don't see why we'd want
to be dealing w/ relative axis in the driver. I'm not quite sure what
your patch accomplishes..

Basically trial and error. Those are the numbers that seemed to match
up best with the edge of the screen and touchpad. I wouldn't be surprised
if the hardware has since changed, and those numbers need updating.

new user: no audio from speakers
Hello, I am trying to get into my new B4, and have an immediate audio challenge: before updating the firmwave there was no sound out at all. After updating, I got the startup jingle from the speakers (good) but still no sound from tamtam (bad). After tinkering with "amixer", turning on just about everything that is an output, I now get good audio from the headphone socket, but still nothing goes to the speaker (apart from the aforesaid bootup jingle, which at least shows the speakers are working in principle). It would not surprise me if there is not some well-known trick to waking up the speakers, but I have not so far found it. Can anyone advise? I can't really demonstrate the machine at Bath Spa Uni without sounds from the speakers! On a related question: I cannot set real-time output when running csound from the console using -o devaudio: gives error "unknown rtaudio module: 'PortAudio' ". Surprised this is not already installed with Csound. I have set OPCODEDIR to /usr/lib/csound/plugins. Do I have to install portaudio separately? from where?
