Hello I'm trying to configure a server based on XSCE 5.0, one of the things that i want to set up is the xs-activation [0] feature, is this supported on XSCE 5.0? 1. Install the package 'yum install xs-activation' 2. Create a lease.sig with cjson format. 3. Copy the lease.sig to the server, by scp or cp. 4. Run 'xs-activation-import /home/fzt/' (this is where lease.sig is placed). 5. Turn on a XO waiting for activation, it never gets activated. Any ideas? Image for XO 1.75 Nicaragua
Hi Martin Right now i'm working on the image for the XO 1.75 to Nicaragua using OS Builder on XO hardware that OLPC send me, i have a few questions for the process. Is there any chance to have Adobe flash plugin on 1.75 that we can test and choose which package use in the final build, gnash or adobe-flash-plugin? Hi Sameer Here in Nicaragua at Fundación Zamora Terán, we are using openVPN on XS in client mode, and the openVPN Server is on the main office on a Centos 5.7 server, because on some school we have a 3G Modem Connection behind a proxy server at ISP, with the VPN tunnel, we can access on to XS by ssh and put content, monitoring the XS with Nagios. And also we redirect the all dns queries on this way: 1. XO(172.18.96.1) 2. XS(172.18.0.1)-(10.8.0.11) 3. openVPNServer(10.8.0.1) 4. openDNS(208.67.222.222) For now that is the way that we use openVPN with XS. Re: [Server-devel] Dansguardian on XS
Today here in Nicaragua i downloaded the latest firmware q3a47 and try the nandblaster, here my experiences i have 2 xo 1.5, they have installed the q3a47 firmware, and also we try the latest image for XO 1.5 os303.zd... the first step that i made was go to the ok promt (at the XO server) and type nb-tx u:\os303.zd and i get the next message max transmit speed: (congestion dependent) channel: 1 marvel-get-mac-address failed ??? i don't know what it does it mean.. then i turn off the XO server, and try again nb-tx u:\os303.zd and... it works, the other XO 1.5 client takes 40 minutes to copy and install the image... so we are happy for nandblaster thanks... -- German R S ___ Devel mailing list Devel@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/devel
Re: [Server-devel] Agregar Desktop a mi red Escolar
Hi Reuben i am using a static ip address from this range 172.18.126.0/24, but i can't access to internet, if i use dynamic ip, the xs server give me a ip from this range pool { range 172.18.125.1 172.18.125.254; deny members of internet; } a i still can't acces to internet German El 30/04/10 08:54, Reuben K. No tienes que tocar la conf de dhcpd para nada (y tocarla crea un montón de problemas, nuestra conf de red es muy específica).
