I already found that but didn't know if this is was only for current
mer releases or also sailfish

Sounds good. Is there any cmdline package manager for sailfish where I
can add some mer OBS repositories?

[SailfishDevel] Building command line Linux tools for jolla

2014-11-11 Thread Philipp Seiler
Hi guys,

It's me once again, asking a question. I already have a Jolla with
some nice native apps but I want to have some command line programms for
that typical geeky linux feeling on this mobile phone. Programs like
zsh as shell, htop, mplayer,...

I already found out that Jolla/Sailfish uses RPM as package manager so
is there a public Open Build Service where I can build my tools against
current sailfish versions?

br,

Philipp

The Jolla Team mailed me that they have removed my opt-in so I can use
my current account. Thank you guys. I will reset my Device and update
it to my liked version.

thx

[SailfishDevel] Downgrade my Jolla to version 1.0.8.21

2014-11-10 Thread Philipp Seiler
Hi guys,

I have a semi big problem with my jolla phone. I did that opt-in update
to the most recent bleeding edge version. It works tolerable but not
great. Version 1.0.8.21 was great so I tried downgrade with

# ssu re 1.0.8.21
# version --dup

But it didn't work. It broke my network connectivity and maybe more.
So I did a full reset to the shipped version 1.0.4.x and tried once
again a force update to 1.0.8.21. That also didn't work and I updated
again to the recent opt-in version.

Is there a way to force install the recent stable instead of the opt-in
update?

Sorry for not pasting the error message of "version --dup" but I don't
want to break it again because it's in productive use.

Regards,

Philipp
