Re: [SailfishDevel] A new Jolla phone user - after 2 days of use

2013-12-17 Thread a.gra...@gmail.com
Hi Valerio,

that Google support page doesn't offer a real solution it seems.
It confirms that Google Sync will stop working and it says that IMAP,
CardDav and CalDav are available instead.

So, can we use IMAP+CardDav+CalDav on Jolla?

Hi Damien,

feel free to develop a more complete client for Soma.fm :)
Better two than none :D

I will develop it anyway because I want to learn some SilicaUI stuff :)

Cheers.

did you give a look (and maybe contributed) to this

I didn't pay anything more. Afaik between UK and Finland there is freedom
of commerce, so no custom to be paid. (it's not like USA-EU).
Did you use my suggestion to get the tracking number from FedEx website?

[SailfishDevel] Can't use Mer SDK virtual machine under OSX

2013-12-23 Thread a.gra...@gmail.com
Hi,

I'm using OSX 10.9.1, latest VirtualBox (4.3.6) and I've installed all the
updates available in QtCreator for SailfishOS SDK.

I've created a sample project (that you can find here
https://github.com/andreagrandi/sailsoma ) and I'm trying to build it on
Mer SDK vm and the deploy to Jolla device.

I click on the "Start SDK" icon, then I choose Build -> Deploy project, it
does something and at the end I get this error http://pastebin.com/Rw5YUCbs

What's wrong? How can I fix this and make the build/deploy work?

Thanks.

Re: [SailfishDevel] Are Jolla core apps opensource ?

2013-12-25 Thread a.gra...@gmail.com
The two things are not related at all :)

Even "Linux", that is 100% opensource, has hundred of people paid to
contribute to it full time.

I know that the comparison is a bit unfair, but it's just to explain that
it can be normal to be paid to develop something that is opensource.
Can Jolla afford to rely completely on the community? They can't, at this
stage. They pay employees to develop some apps. This doesn't mean these
apps can't be opensourced for this reason. So probably there is a different
reason that only Jolla can explain.

Cheers.

[SailfishDevel] File not found errors while generating rpms: how can I fix them?

2014-01-05 Thread a.gra...@gmail.com
Hi,

After having transformed my app, because I started it with the template
that was shipping with the first version of the SDK, to use the new
template, I think there are still some things to be fixed in .pro or .yaml

When I try to deploy my app using "Deploy as RPM package" I get these
errors: http://pastebin.com/qJv9L1cA

I think the problem is in the .pro or in the .yaml and you can find both
files (and also the full source code) here:

-
https://github.com/andreagrandi/sailsoma/blob/newtemplate/rpm/harbour-sailsoma.yaml
-
https://github.com/andreagrandi/sailsoma/blob/newtemplate/harbour-sailsoma.pro

I've tried to give a look around to other projects but I cannot understand
the differences (or better... ALL projects seem to be different from each
other and use different conventions... it would not be better to use all
the same convention and having QtC to check what's missing in .pro and
.yaml for us?).

It's a bit frustrating the fact that I'm spending more time to make
project/packaging/deployment work instead of coding the app :(

Thanks for your help.

Cheers.

Re: [SailfishDevel] File not found errors while generating rpms: how can I fix them?

2014-01-05 Thread a.gra...@gmail.com
Hi,

yes I deleted the branch because another person on #sailfishos suggested me
how to fix the problem.
I merged the branch with master and deleted the branch. You can find the
whole source code here https://github.com/andreagrandi/sailsoma
but to be quick it was a matter of putting all the qml files under qml/ and
removing some stuff from the .pro

Thanks in any case :)
