[ovirt-devel] Storage test case needs to be fixed: 002_bootstrap.resize_and_refresh_storage_domain

2019-05-20 Thread Dafna Ron
Hi Tal,

I am seeing random failures for test
002_bootstrap.resize_and_refresh_storage_domain
It looks like this is a timing issue since by the time we print out the
error we actually see the resize succeeded. see example below:

http://jenkins.ovirt.org/job/ovirt-master_change-queue-tester/14185/testReport/junit/(root)/002_bootstrap/running_tests___basic_suite_el7_x86_64___resize_and_refresh_storage_domain/

Can you please assign someone from the storage team to fix this test?

Thanks,
Dafna

Hello Nir,
I had understood that you want the ovirt-engine log. Sorry.

I just created the bug in the bugzilla:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1707707

Thanks for your time,
Regards,
Fran

Copy/move in the UI will be part of the next 4.3 minor release:

Not sure about a redesign of the architecture (e.g. breaking the
local/shared DC distinction), but one of the following
already-existing hooks might be enough for your needs:

https://ovirt.org/documentation/admin-guide/appe-VDSM_and_Hooks.html
https://www.ovirt.org/develop/developer-guide/vdsm/hooks.html

https://github.com/oVirt/vdsm/tree/master/vdsm_hooks/localdisk

https://www.ovirt.org/develop/developer-guide/vdsm/hook/scratchpad.html

https://www.ovirt.org/develop/developer-guide/vdsm/hook/vmdisk.html

Adding danken. Dan - do we have any recommendations re this? Is
localdisk preferred over vmdisk? localdisk is newer, has much more
documentation, but only in the source, not on the website.

No idea, did you file an RFE (or know about one)?
