Hi All

I am a developer from XGI Technology which is a new company
stem
from graphic dpt. of Trident and graphic dpt. of Sis. Now we want to
share our linux 2D driver with open

source community. Then what should we do? Pls give some advice or
suggestions.
  Thanx a lot.

Bst.,rgds

Does your driver has good support of Xv and XvMC? That would be nice as
a lot of people are using these to build home-theater PCs (actually
until now only nVidia binary drivers are supporting XvMC, and perhaps
Gatos for ATI cards).

Re: Fwd: [Dri-devel] sched_yield() in DRI/XFree86? - It could be REALY bad on 2.6.0

	Hi all,
so this should clear the problems Mark V. talked about without the need
of a kernel module? That could be great, though it could be good to
know what this will exactly do : ie will it give the CPU back after all
other processes have got their time slice exhausted?

 Hi all,
I just installed a MDK 9.2, and as the agpgart module seems OK with
my
nForce2 chipset, I also loaded DRI. All logs are OK, the dri
modules

load correctly; but if I launch glxgears it locks up solid (hard
reset
only to get rid of it).
I use the radeon driver of MDK9.2 for my radeon 9200 (from
chaintech
IIRC).

Please try a recent r200 snapshot from
http://dri.sourceforge.net/snapshots/ and post to the dri-devel list
or
file a bug at http://bugs.xfree86.org if the problem persists.
OK thanks, will do that ASAP. Do you think I can just usethe snapshot
against XF4.3.0 from MDK9.2 (re compiling DRI stuff is OK but XFree
itself would be a bit harder ;-)

make sure you also get the XFree86 package from the extras

or you will get an error because your server is too old.

Which extras directory? The one on the dri website?
BTW : I understand that I must have the kernel sources, but I do not
need to compile it actually? But I now think I need the whole source
for XFree, don't I?
Thanks

Hmm, just figured out that these are binaries... sorry for the stupid
