GNOME 3.26.0 newstable tarballs due (and more) (responsible: mclasen)

2017-09-07 Thread Release Team
Hello all,

We would like to inform you about the following:
* GNOME 3.26.0 newstable tarballs due
* Hard Code Freeze ends

Tarballs are due on 2017-09-11 before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME 3.26.0
newstable release, which will be delivered on Wednesday. Modules which
were proposed for inclusion should try to follow the unstable schedule
so everyone can test them. Please make sure that your tarballs will
be uploaded before Monday 23:59 UTC: tarballs uploaded later than that
will probably be too late to get in 3.26.0. If you are not able to
make a tarball before this deadline or if you think you'll be late,
please send a mail to the release team and we'll find someone to roll
the tarball for you!

Hard Code Freeze ends, but other freezes remain in effect for the
stable branch.

For more information about 3.25, the full schedule, the official
module lists and the proposed module lists, please see our colorful 3.25
page:

2017-09-07 Thread Javier Jardón
Hi all,

this is the end of this development cycle and here comes the second
release candidate for you to download, build, and test.

Enjoy it as fast as you can, the final release is scheduled next Wednesday!

To compile GNOME 3.25.92, you can use the jhbuild modulesets published
by the release team (which use the exact tarball versions from the
official release).

  https://developer.gnome.org/jhbuild/
  https://download.gnome.org/teams/releng/3.25.92/

Remember that you also have ready to use images being build
continuously with the latest GNOME code in

  http://build.gnome.org/

We remind you we are string frozen, no string changes may be made
without confirmation from the l10n team (gnome-i18n@) and notification
to both the release team and the GNOME Documentation Project
(gnome-doc-list@).

Hard code freeze is also in place, no source code changes can be made
without approval from the release-team. Translation and documentation
can continue.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
--

This release is a snapshot of development code. Although it is
buildable and usable, it is primarily intended for testing and hacking
purposes. GNOME uses odd minor version numbers to indicate development
status.

lists and the proposed module lists, please see our colorful 3.26 page:
