[development-axapta] How to set range on particular dimension

Hi,

I need help on how to set/trap range on particular dimension 
programatically. Let say I want to set only Cost Center to some value or 
I want to capture Cost Value entered by user on Range tab. How can i do 
this ?

Hi All,

I have a very elementary question. I created a newJob but the editor 
window did not appear.  My new Job is Hellojob and a screen print is shown 
below. I thought the Editor would display if a job, class or macro  is 
created and then edited.  Any help will be greatly appreciated as this has 
got. me stopped.

In what form did you try to add the field and where?  If you tried to add the field in a group that is linked to a table field group (DataGroup) then it's a normal behaviour that the field is not showing.

Hello

I need to be able to modify the exchange rate when a local currency
transaction is entered. A function similar to a transaction that is
being posted in USD, where the reference exchange rate is copied from
the exchange rate table but the value can be overwritten for the
specific transaction. 

I entered a field exchratesecond in a form, but it is not showing. 
 
Anyone knows how to do this?

[development-axapta] Howto adjust the width of a grid for use on a PDA?

Hi, 

I'm developing webforms for use on a PDA. If I put a grid on my 
webform, then the width of the grid is to big. I can adjust it a 
little in a normal webbrowser, but on the PDA nothing changes. 

How can I change the width of the grid?

Hi Roberto,

 

This behaviour is not considered an error. The journals controls is Debit and Credit balance before posting a journal and since you have added an off-set account to each and every line debit and credit will balance. I don't know who told you, that you should expect an error, but I can inform you, that it is not correct, and the behaviour you experience is according to design.

I was told that offset account was used when one line transactions are
posted. If a multiple line transaction has been entered, showing same
debit/credit total; and later offset accounts are entered for those
lines; the system would show an error message and not allow posting. 

Yet, right now the system is permitting users to do this. Does anyone
know if this correct? Will the transaction be posted and processed
normally? Is this a configurable parameter?  

I'm using Axapta 3.0 SP 2.
