RE : RE : [development-axapta] How to print long report

2004-11-05 Thread Steeve Gilbert

To my knowledge there's no feature that would do that automatically.  You'll have to code it.  That means checking how many columns fit in one page and print the columns left on another page, that is when a page has been completed.  A lot of coding fun coming up. :-)

Hi Steeve,
Yes, I mean 'Fit to Page' property. I use Ax3.0.
At first, my report is fit in one page but it is shrinked so that it
is not readable. Then in the report design property, I set 'Fit to
Page' to 'No'. The result is column overlapp each other.
I want the report to be printed landscape on two papers.
How can I do it?

Thanks.

[development-axapta] Re: Code Help

2004-11-05 Thread luisxbmo

Descriptions on modifying the displayed text are already presented in
this thread so I will leave that alone, but for the sake of
completness here is actually a way to replace the dialog with our own
thing...

1 - Override the validateDelete() method on the datasource
2 - Comment out the call to ret = super()
3 - Put up your own dialog or whatever
4 - Then set ret = true or false depending on whether you accept the
delete or not
5 - Finally return ret!

That's it.

RE: [development-axapta] merging layers

2004-11-05 Thread Malcolm Burtt

Hi

You have run into a fairly major problem here. The fields and tables that you have moved from BUS to USR will now have different id's in your AOT than in the SQL data dictionary of your database. You will also have problems where field or table Id's have been stored in containers (e.g. SysLastValues).

You have two possible solutions. Either write some code to manipulate the SysDataDictionary table so that all fields and tables have the new values, or you can export data from your old database and import it into a new one. Note that if you take the first option you will have to flush the SysLastValues table and any other place which has table/field id's stored in containers. You'll also have to ensure that your data dictionary manipulation occurs after moving the code to the USR layer but before you synchronise the database, otherwise you'll lose all the data in the fields and tables whose Id's have changed.

Good luck

Hi Ben,

you get the result correct, but you change the language temporay for the session.

I have solved the problem in the following manner:

add this method to the class "SysDictEnum":
LabelId Value2LabelLabel(int value)
{
    #Properties
    SysDictEnum SysDictEnum;
    TreeNode    treeNode;
    ;
    return findProperty(this.treeNode().AOTfindChild(this.value2Symbol(value)).AOTgetProperties(),#PropertyLabel);
}

You can test it with this job:
static void Job2(Args _args)
{
    sysDictEnum sysDictEnum = new SysDictEnum(EnumNum(LedgerAccountType));
    LabelId labelId;
    ;
    LabelId = sysDictEnum.Value2LabelLabel(LedgerAccountType::AccountCost);

    info(labelId);
    info(SysLabel::labelId2String2(labelId, 'en-us'));
    info(SysLabel::labelId2String2(labelId, 'nl'));
    info(SysLabel::labelId2String2(labelId, 'fr'));
}

Hi
you can export the BUS-Layer with ID's and import it with ID's.
In 3.0 you can check the pox in the export dialog.
In 2.5 you had to open Axapta with a parameter ... think it was
IMPORTEXPORTID after that you have the same ID's in the usr layer,
you had int the BUS layer

[development-axapta] Re: Labels??

2004-11-05 Thread Karsten Krabbes

Hi Andre,
labels are written, when all open axapta sessions for that
application are closed (including the AOS).
Sometimes, when axapta is not closed correctly, the labels will not
be stored in the ald file.
You can find all changed labels in table systablelog.
And you can create them manually in the ald file

That's correct Patrick,

With a client server it is when everybody is out of Axapta and I think

RE: [development-axapta] Labels??

2004-11-05 Thread Andries Patrick

Andre,

When you create a label it takes a while before it is written to the
.ald files.  I think Axapta stores it somewhere in a sort of cache.
When the file is updated I don't know.  Maybe when all other users close
Axapta???

Subject: [development-axapta] Labels??

Hi,

Where is the labels stored? I thought it was in the application
directory *.ald? But when I create a label and go to see where it has
been created its nowhere to be found...

Any way to filnd my missing label file?

When I go to Label Search, it does find it somewhere.

Regards,
Andre

RE: [development-axapta] Labels??

2004-11-05 Thread Cenk Ince

Hi Andre

Probably it's cashed. Axapta waits for some number of labels to be created and then
they all stored on the file.

You keep entering labels, axapta will create file and you will find labels in file.

Good luck.
