Re: [development-axapta] how to save query in a tmp table
you can you a real already existing table too without storing the results in database. For that declare a table variable of the wanted table and set this xRecord cursor in temp mode using method .setTmp() Now you have a temporray table with exactly the same layout as the original in database. e.g.: InventTable tmpInventTable; ; ... ... tmpInventTable.SetTmp(); // that's the important call If you now issue an select * on that xrecord you'll see that the table is empty. Now you can use this table (you always have to use the above variable) to insert records in it. (maybe looping through your query) As with real temporary tables (property temporary = YES), this cursor is cleared (temporary table deletetd) if running out of scope - normally at end of the method - if it isn't referenced elsewhere. To overcome this logic you have to pass the variable to another object (e.g. a reportrun) using a public setmethod SetTmpRef(InventTable tmpRef) on that report. (don't forget to downcast the reportrun variable to a simple object - otherwise you'll get an compile error) Within the called ReportRun (where InventTable is defined within the query datasources) you have to instruct the report NOT to use the real Inventtable for the selects but the passed temporary one - using reportrun.QueryRun().SetCursor(your tmpVar) Now the report goes to your temporary inventtable Keep in mind: All triggers of the table (insert, update, delete should be programmed secure - like if (this.IsTmp()) {} if they are going to modify / insert/update/delete records in other real tables) otherwise you'll get strange data efects. regards and cu at the restaurant at the end of universe Douglas - Original Message - From: Steeve Gilbert [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: development-axapta@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, July 06, 2005 9:06 PM Subject: RE : [development-axapta] how to save query in a tmp table The only way I can see is actually creating the temp table (Property Temporary = Yes) and filling it by browsing the entire query. RE: [development-axapta] Range criteria on InventTrans
you should realise any trans can only ahve status in either issue or receipt but you are basically telling the report to find trans that has value in both (i.e. criteri are AND together) basically you will need to run the report 2 times I think -Original Message- From: development-axapta@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Hemant Sent: 07 July 2005 13:33 To: development-axapta@yahoogroups.com Subject: [development-axapta] Range criteria on InventTrans Hi There, I created a Auto Report and I want to select only transaction where the StatusIssue has Issue type of Sold or Deducted and I also want to select transaction where StatusReceipt has Receipt type of Purchased or Received, but when I use these in the Query screen , the report doesn't print, I know because of the criteria, since I tried giving only one criteria each in Status Issue and receipt I am able to see the information on the report. I would appreciate your suggestions. In the Query Status Issue = Sold, Deducted Status Receipt = Purchased, Received Since the condition is getting compunded I think the report is coming out empty. [development-axapta] axapta integration to third party document management system
hi out there! Currently I am trying to find a solution for a full integration to a third party document management system: central working point: where to grab print jobs done by axapta users for archivation purpose - even copies. correlation to respective tableheader: to achieve proper archivation - tableheader information is essential for creating keywords What i did so far: 1. I figured out the ReportOutputUser-class: here my intention was to split up one PrintJob in two - but there I could not gather tableheader information. 2. secondly I tried to use the integrated document handling for gathering header information and the binary data storage in printJobPages Table to store the data in a file trying to guess the extention (.tif, .ps, .pdf, ?) but it became desperate. 3.SysReportRun: every printjob passes this class, how can I get the headerinfo of each report an its output? I appreciate gathering a bit of help from someone who has an idea or was already in that matter. Regards, hOObsy YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS Visit your group "development-axapta" on the web.
