[development-axapta] Ax 2009 Batch Report Prints Blank Page
Hi All, I've been struggling for several days trying to get an Ax 2009 Batch job to print a custom report from the batch server. Everything prints out fine when running the class on the client side, but when in batch, it just prints a blank sheet of paper. No errors are logged when the job executes and there is nothing exceptional about the report, i.e. Image on document which I've read will not work in batch mode. The configuration of the server is checked to allow Print on Server The class does extend RunBaseBatch The main is public static server void main(Args _args) The RunsImpersonated method is set to return true. I'm sure that I'm just missing one obscure something somewhere. HELP... LOL
[development-axapta] Calculattion of Deprecciattion by proposal when Assets are imported in Ax 2009
Dear All. I have a strange problem I have imported all Fixed Assets and then tried to calculate depreciation proposal but that is not worling so I checked the Deprecaiton in the FA-Value models - Inquiy- Profile the depreciation calaculation the calculation is done. but when i try to fun in from GL- Generral Jounral- Depreciation proposal the same is not calculated on the imported Assets. Hence I created and Asset in Ax and the acquired it through General Journal the same process above was repeated the depreciation runs fine. in the acquistion proposal the same can be run and posted . [development-axapta] Shop Floor Control Setup
Hi We are using Dynamics AX 2009. We have a weird situation in Shop Floor Control Setup Employee module Whenever we hit the Employee table link, sometimes the Employee screen is loaded with BLANK values in Standard Profile column, but NOT ALWAYS... Its not consistent, We can able to reproduce it frequently. Could someone please assist me what could be the reason. I appreciate you. When we open the Gantt Chart it whowing the following error meessage D:\Work\Projects\Gantt 4.0\NewGanttChart\NewGanttChart_ActiveXSettings\GanttWrkCtr.IFD. Hi I have a question. I've noticed that when saving a sales order in the the sales line sometimes shows the item as `onorder' and sometimes not whether it's available in the current inventory or not. Can someone please explain this? Thanks in advance

[development-axapta] GLS or RU3 changes SYS or other system layers?
Good afternoon Can anyone advise if the GLS or Hotfix RU3 install exe files update the SYS layer? I read on the web site for SP1 (and also I thought for GLS or RU3 but cannot seem to find now) that it updates the SYS but not sure if that is just some incorrect information on the web site..see: https://mbs.microsoft.com/customersource/downloads/servicepacks/dynamicsax20 09sp1 Other key highlights in this service pack release include: . The SP1 installer updates both the SYS and GLS layers of the product. This means, for example, that if you already have GLS-TR installed on your system, SP1 will update this layer during the installation process. I assumed the above meant SYP or GLP was updated but now I am a little unsure because I always thought SYS was off limits to everyone and only a new version made changes but a binary file compare of a SYS aod from the install DVD compared to after GLS and RU3 being applied shows a different file size and content. Can this change in SYS aod be due to a full compile of the AX application during the GLS or RU3 install or something like that? Hi Suneel, You need to set Directory Browsing in the IIS Server. I guess you are on Windows 2008. ANyways do not worry. Just ensure that the Workflow URL is validated from AX. Hi Jafar, First, try to Re-Index your Database using the Axapta Re-index tool. I'm using Axapta 3.0 SP3 and the tool is located in: Tools -- Development Tools -- Application Objects -- Re-index I had a similar problem with Contacts, using the Re-index tool I solve the problem. Note: When you decide to use this Tool, no users can be connected to the database. Richard N.
