What thing we should do probably is a BDF-style report about all the
bugs that were fixed in that special version.

Ok, so you just think we don’t need to collect bugs created during 10.7 and
label them as “bugfixingday".

As you wish. For me as long as they were fixed as “BFD” activity it was ok but
I’m also fine to not collect them. In the end, what’s important anyway is that
bugs get closed/fixed and that everyone focuses on closing bugs and improving
tests ;)

Re: [xwiki-devs] [XWiki Day] BFD#186

2018-08-16 Thread Thomas Mortagne
My point is more that it's not really a "Bug Fixing Day", we just
decided to concentrate on bugfixing on the whole 10.7.

What I agree on is that it does not make sense to do BFD during this
period since those would be meaningless.

Well the idea is that weekly BFD is not enough for us to catch up with bugs so
we decided to extend it to 1 month (ie a release) and work on it 50% of the
time (tests being the other 50%).

For me it’s very close and I’m not sure why we would need another label.

Hi everyone,

I’ve executed the following jira query:
"resolved >= 2018-07-20 and resolved <= 2018-08-27 and status = Closed and type

This yields:

I think we should label all of them with “bugfixingday”, WDYT?

Hi Alex,

Note that there’s no BFD for August :) So the BFD report should encompass the
whole month of August and everyone should label fixed bugs with “bugfixingday”
during this whole month. At the end we’ll need a single report for the month.

The reason is that the whole 10.7 release is for Bug Fixing (well 50% of it in
reality since the other 50% is for working on tests and especially on
STAMP-related tests).
