Re: [Dhis2-devs] DHIS2 tables of unknown origin/purpose

2018-08-27 Thread Morten Olav Hansen
I think the reason they have not been automatically removed is exactly
that... they might have been retired, but we don't want to remove just in
case you have something there of value... regarding all the tables, I don't
recognize all of them myself.. but translation has been replaced by other
tables, metadatafilter is not in use anymore, the rest like importobject...
I'm not sure if i have ever seen actually..

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] How to Edit the date of enrollment/Listing TEI's in 2.29

2018-08-27 Thread Prosper BT
Hi Stanley,

Let me try to respond to your questions inline

I am using two instances,2.27 and 2.29 and i want to know how to edit the
enrolment date in my programs. Is there a way?
==> Unfortunately this feature is not yet supported in any version but
could be planned because many users have reported it as a limitation
especially in programs that dont require scheduling. The reason for not
allowing editing enrolment and incident dates was because they are used to
schedule and if they keep changing disorganise scheduling of both future
and past due dates. Need to check if there is a jira issue on this

Secondly, with versions below 2.27,one would easily list all TEI's across
and see how many have been enrolled. But with 2.29,i can not see where i can
easily extract that data once i open the Tracker capture.
==> As the tracker is becoming more popular and most users are capturing
identifiable attributes within sensitive programs like HIV and other
stigmatizable diseases/conditions, the design of the tracker have been
focused towards improving confidentiality. In 2.28 and below you could
easily search across all orgunits for all tracked entities registered
sometimes without specifying any search criteria. This is not possible
anymore, you need to set the searchable attributes and specific the
criteria while searching which may not be common for all tracked entities.

But to be able to get a list and aggregates of registered tracked entities
I recommend you use Events Report and aggregate on any mandatory attribute
in your program.

Dear DHIS 2 community,

I am deeply saddened to inform you that Dapo passed away yesterday. This is
still very shocking to us.

We have set up a gofundme page where you can donate to support his wife and two
children. Even if you are not able to give a monetary donation his family will
appreciate if you can share messages and memories on this page.

Many thanks for your support. May his soul will rest in peace

Sorry, I meant to say how do we know ALL of those tables are not relevant

to know for sure (and actually that such tables are automatically removed)

 Devs,

While investigating the many duplicates and gaps found in many existing
2.28 instances - most of them created in version 2.18 - 2.22 and then
upgraded over time - we also found a number of tables (and at least one
field) that no longer exist in a "clean" 2.28 instance.

The single "missing" field is the field trackedentityattributeid in
table datadimensionitem. Is that field outdated?

The tables are below - can somebody please indicate if these are
outdated tables no longer in use? (Jason P - note a number of them relate
to translations. You might know if they are redundant?)

[Dhis2-devs] new identity and logo for DHIS 2

2018-08-27 Thread Lars Helge Øverland
Dear all,

we are today introducing a new identity and logo for DHIS 2. The logo is
meant to illustrate DHIS 2 as a platform and the use of data for action.

Master logo:

Reversed logo on blue:

You can get the source material and read about instructions for use here:

https://github.com/dhis2/dhis2-identity

The logo font is the open source Rubik
 from Google Fonts.

We will introduce the new logo gradually into the DHIS 2 software and plan
to be done for 2.31 release.

regards,

Lars

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Setup DHIS2 in Linux (Debian)

2018-08-27 Thread Lars Helge Øverland
Hi Nayeem,

sorry not to answer you question exactly, but Ubuntu is in fact based on
Debian and is a more user-friendly version of it. They use the same kernel
and package manager, and the Ubuntu install guide will likely work well
also on Debian.

regards,

Lars

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Setup DHIS2 in Linux (Debian)

2018-08-27 Thread Muhammad Adeel
Hi Nayeem,

   1. I have a Ansible configuration for Ubuntu here
https://github.com/adeelshahid/dhis2-core-ansible/ it can be tuned for
Debian or you can get an idea what needs to be in place to put up things.
   2. *Scaling the setup*. Too much PostgresSQL data, how does one shard or
scale DHIS2 system. Which is important to plan before running into problems
in the future. I would recommend some backend person responds on that.

Regards,
Adeel
