Dear Viet,We have encountered this issue and I had reported this and got no 
response.
The thing is that for us, the default category option is not used on any of 
these data sets that are encountering this issue. Also, we did not have this 
issue until we upgraded to the latest build of 2.29 on Friday and right now, 
none of our teams can enter any data. 
So, what changed between the updates from the previous version to the latest?
Secondly, why is a category option that is not used in any dataset affecting 
data entry on that dataset?

We noticed yesterday that data entry across ALL our datasets throws up this 
error
[User has no data write access for CategoryOption: Ae5U0j6hHD7]


We checked in the API and the category option that has the code above is 
default and this option is not used on any of our datasets and also does not

1. The speedometer type charts do not render very well compared to the 
traditional dashboard2. Some pie charts are rendered really minutely in 
comparison.3. I like the way the tables look4. Would it be possible to change

- More of pivot tables and charts than maps- More of aggregate data than events
That'll really help to strain it further and identify where performance tuning 
is needed most for better responsiveness.

[Dhis2-devs] Removing min-max values

Dear All,Just want to find out if the removing min-max values actually still 
works?
We have quite a number of users who cannot complete their forms because of 
min-max values. They have the rights in their user roles to remove them and 
save.
Also, we have tried to remove them centrally for all the datasets but it's 
making no difference at all.
Can anyone look at this?

Dear All,I have attached a screenshot showing what I had been trying to 
describe. Normally, the catcombo name does not show as part of the data element 
name in the dataset window, but in this case, it is showing up. However, in 
this case, this data element no longer has the catcombo associated with it. We 
had changed it when we were experiencing some difficulty with some of the items 
showing up on the form designer. However, the changes did not take effect until 
we had to remove this from the dataset and then add it back again.
Not sure what is causing this though...

Hello All,We are encountering this issue with the form designer where either 
the data element does not show up in the form designer i.e. after having been 
assigned to a dataset, or some of the category options do not show up.

[Dhis2-devs] Mouse Over in Dataset Creation Not Working/Cannot Open Dataset

DHIS Version 2.26 build revision e1c68ac
Dear Devs,We have some pretty long data element names and in the dataset 
module, they do not completely show up in there. The sections for data elements 
and indicators do not resize to accommodate the names and neither does the 
mouse over work (which would be very useful) to let know the full name of the 
data element or indicator.
Can you fix this?
Also, I am trying to edit a dataset I created and we have been using for over a 
year now. When I click on it in the maintenance module, it does not open and I 
get the error message "at index 0   OK"
How do I fix this?
Form designer also keeps hanging on Chrome too.

[Dhis2-devs] Transfer data from one category option to another

Hello Devs,I would like to know if it is possible to transfer data stored 
against a category option to a another one?
There was a mistake in the initial setup of the category options for the data 
element and users have entered data against that option. The correct category 
option already exists in the system, and I am asking to know if this is doable 
right now in DHIS2.

[Dhis2-devs] Org Unit Levels (2.24 7088b7e)

Hello Everyone,
We need some help/guidance with cleaning up our Org Unit levels.
We initially created org units at 6 levels in a hierarchy i.e. (from top to 
bottom) National (1) -->State (2) -->Local Government Area (3)-->Comprehensive 
Site (4)-->Satellite Site (5) -->Outreach Site (6).
We were having issues with the data aggregation and decided to put all 
facilities at one level (4) and changed the level name to Facility. We also 
plan to use the org unit groups to differentiate the sites.
In the maintenance app --> Org Unit --> Org Unit Level, it shows that we have 
only 4 levels but in the pivot tables and in the aggregation levels section 
when creating data elements, it's still showing the 6 levels even though the 
last 2 levels are no longer showing in the org unit level management section.
What do we need to do so that only the 4 levels show to avoid confusion with 
the users and program managers?

[Dhis2-devs] Issue with Combination of Categories in Dataset/Data Entry Form

Dear Devs/Users,Good evening.
DHIS2 ver 2.22 build 22086
I am having a bit of a challenge with our data entry forms.
When I add a combination of categories to the dataset, once data is entered on 
the data entry form, the data field turns from yellow to red instead of green 
(see attachment). The combination of categories is important in this dataset so 
we can use it as a data dimension in the analytics. Once I set the combination 
of categories to default, then the issue goes away.
Since this issue started, I can no longer open, edit, or delete the first 
category combination I used with the data set. Running maintenance just runs in 
an endless loop. Generating resource tables or analytics do not complete. 
Not sure what is going on. 
Has anyone encountered this issue and what can we do about it?

Hello Elmarie,Forgive me, but I am not sure where to set the aggregation start 
level.
For the reports, what we have started to do is to select org units at levels 
(Comprehensive, Satellite, and Outreach) when we noted this issue. I do not 
know if this is a wrong method.
But this is a big concern as we would not like to misrepresent the data.

[Dhis2-devs] Data Discrepancy in Pivot Tables and Charts

Dear All,We are having a bit of a confusing situation here with our pivot 
tables and charts.
When we select Org Unit at country level, we get a different total from when we 
do a facility-by-facility list using the same Indicator. We grouped our 
facilities into 4 groups - Comprehensive, Satellite, Outreach, and Above Site. 
So, when we select with the groups, which then gives us a list of the 
facilities and their data, the facility listing data is higher than when we 
just select the Country-level org unit.Just a bit confused as to how this is 
possible.
We are looking very closely to see what the issue may be but will appreciate 
any thoughts on this.

Elmarie,We had even more serious issues with trying to setup approvals in DHIS 
2.22.
We suddenly realized that analytics were not working and were wondering what 
had gone wrong. Pivot tables and dataset report were blank. The last action we 
setup before this was the creating the category option groupsets and setting up 
the approval workflow.
So, we started removing everything related to the approvals but when it got to 
removing the category option groupsets from the users we assigned to the 2 
groupsets we created, it appeared to unassign, but when you saved and opened 
again, the groupsets were still assigned to the user. This gave us a huge 
challenge. I reported this on this forum, but go very little help with it. 
Eventually we managed move the things off but then we could not delete the 
option groupsets because they were assigned to users which we could not 
immediately locate.
Yesterday, 2 users who did not even have the option groupsets applied to their 
accounts reported that they were getting exception errors when trying to run 
pivot tables. I checked those users profiles and saw that the option groupsets 
had been assigned to them. Given that I created the users and the option 
groupsets, it was a bit bewildering that how that got assigned to them.
I wish the data approval app in DATIM could be made available to users with 
clear instructions on how to set it up. I think it would be quite helpful.
I plan to actually check the users one by one to see if other users have this 
issue. I probably will do this easier from the backend, but access to the 
server is not convenient right now.

 I would like views on what I perceive to be a bug in DHIS2 that Data Approval 
Workflow does not respect/adhere to Dataset/Orgunit assignment. I’ll paint the 
scenario:   An integrated HIS reporting system where different facility types 
report on data elements applicable to them so the Orgunit and Dataset assigned 
could look something like this:

    If you set up a workflow for e.g. PHC dataset – Monthly you have to let the 
Manager of not only Clinic A and Community Health Centre B approve that dataset 
BUT also Hospital C, Community Outreach D and Emergency Service E while they 
DON’T REPORT and are not assigned to that dataset. If they don’t all approve 
the same workflow then District 1 cannot approve the dataset.   Yes, it is 
possible to create one overall dataset which everyone then approves but it 
looks very “dirty” because most of the signoff report is elements they should 
not report on thus blank and it is not easy for them to identify the REAL GAPS 
which they should have reported on if >50% of the form is blank and it is too 
long.   What would it take to attach the data approval to the Dataset>Orgunit 
Assignment that is done for data entry thus only requiring approval at lower 
level if that orgunit is assigned to the dataset. If that is done then only 
Clinic A and Community Health Centre B would be assigned to the workflow and be 
required to approve before District 1 can approve. I would appreciate some 
feedback and prepared to write a blueprint for it if required.

Hello Morten,We are using mainly for data capture.
The smartphone module is a bit more flexible than the android app. We are using 
android phones and have the data entry app installed on the phones. We have had 
instances where the users entered data for several months at a stretch using 
the app and we could not find the data in the database (possibly a network 
issue). If the app can be upgraded to simulate the smartphone module, it would 
prove more useful. For example, you do not get a completed entry report using 
the app each time a user submits data, which you get using the module. Also, 
the messaging function is quite a useful tool.

[Dhis2-devs] Target Line

Dear Devs,Is it possible to have the target line show in the data visualizer 
irrespective of the layout of the chart?
Right now it only shows if Data is in the category dimension but results in a 
single color chart as opposed to having Data in the series dimension which 
tells a better story using the colors in the chart.
It would be good to have this.

Hello All,This is an issue we noticed right from 2.23 and occurred when
you install a completely fresh instance of 2.23. I noticed that upgrades
of existing versions with already existing data and configurations, did
not have that issue.Because of it, we were not able to use 2.23 for our
deployment and had to start from 2.22.

I hope it gets fixed soon.

I created 2 category option groups/groupsets to use for data approvals and 
assigned users to either one or both groups. The approvals did not work as 
envisaged probably because I may not have set them up correctly. So I deleted 
the approval levels and the workflow but did not remove the users from the 
approval levels and also removed the approval workflow from the datasets as 
well.

For some inexplicable reason all the analytics on that system are not
working also (have reported this on the mailing list already and
awaiting feedback).

The catalina logs show this:

I exported all the metadata and entered data from the server to a local 
instance on my computer (v2.22 Build 22075). I was trying to run a dataset 
report for different periods on my laptop instance and one of the reports did 
not run. I reviewed the logs (on my laptop) to see whats was going on and found 
this:

working.

The user metadata import failed for the instance on my laptop, so I do
not have the users with the restrictions and analytics are running well
except for the time period October 2015 (dataset reports and pivot
tables) - not sure why.


How do I resolve this issue? Is this a bug?

Would gladly provide any more required information.

DHIS 2 version 2.22Build 22057

I created 2 category option groups/groupsets to use for data approvals and 
assigned users to either one or both groups. The approvals did not work as 
envisaged probably because I may not have set them up correctly. So I deleted 
the approval levels and the workflow but did not remove the users from the 
approval levels and also removed the approval workflow from the datasets as 
well.
For some inexplicable reason all the analytics on that system are not working 
also (have reported this on the mailing list already and awaiting feedback). 
The catalina logs show this: 
and "uidlevel1" in ('C983g0J6p9m') and ( "sASLYFgAkiG" in ('CW20DvNk041') ) and 
( "LKC6LlcxjzT" in ('jj2GfLHSgGP') ) group by "dx","co","monthly","uidlevel1"];

I exported all the metadata and entered data from the server to a local 
instance on my computer (v2.22 Build 22075). I was trying to run a dataset 
report for different periods on my laptop instance and one of the reports did 
not run. I reviewed the logs (on my laptop) to see whats was going on and found 
this:

tried this several times for different users but not working. 
The user metadata import failed for the instance on my laptop, so I do not have 
the users with the restrictions and analytics are running well except for the 
time period October 2015 (dataset reports and pivot tables) - not sure why.

How do I resolve this issue? Is this a bug?
Would gladly provide any more required information.

It's only available as a API at this point (probably will be changed in
2.25), and yes you can import multiple users at the same time.

If you are using json you can use something like this:

Or xml:
curl -X POST -d @file.xml -H "Content-Type: application/xml" -u

Hello. Just an update on this.
We used a 64-bit version of Ubuntu and loaded the custom repositories and 
installed PostgreSQL 9.1. Database restore has been done and prelim tests show 
it's working fine.

Hi Ife,

I think this is related to importing to the database directly (not through
the webinterface).

You can hopefullyl resolve it by increasing the value of
hibernate_sequence, which you can find under Schema-public-Sequences in
pgadmin

Hello. 
This is what we tried and the outcome.

Looking at all the suggestions made, we didn't think that we wanted to do the 
upgrades just yet till everyone agrees it is the recommended thing to do.
We tried the delete queries as suggested by Lars, but still had the same 
problem; however, that gave us an idea. We created a .sql backup from pgAdmin 
but in the objects window, we unchecked the three tables - usersettings, 
systemsettings, and importobjects before running the backup.
The resultant backup file was restored to a new database without any errors. 
The data statistics show exactly same number of data elements, data element 
groups, datasets, org units etc. 
We are not having any exceptions being thrown when trying to add users or 
change system settings.

However, this we have noticed.
The data entry module appears not to be working with the current system 
settings. Things like the application title, the style are different on the 
data entry module than all other modules (and we went through most of them). 
For instance, we changed the style to green but it remains blue in the data 
entry module. The application title does not update on the data entry module 
also. We had to clear the cache and cookies in Firefox 8 and Google Chrome 
before we got the  application title and style to update.

We are not sure what else might not be working. Data integrity check is
taking forever to run.

We thought as much too, it's the effect on DHIS2 that we are not sure how to 
handle this as we can't create users or modify the general system settings.

I do not think this is an issue with DHIS2, but an issue restoring
from Postgres 9.1 to Postgres 8.4. Postgres is normally quite
sensitive about backwards restores, i.e. from 9.1 to 8.4. Going from
8.4 to 9.1 should not be a problem but the other way around may
present issues, which I think is the problem with one of the error
screen shots you sent.

This happens because you are using one the skins that have been removed
from the system.

Either try to navigate to the settings -> user settings -> style and
change to an existing one (light blue is default).

Bug description:
  A few things not working here:

  1) The listing of data elements or indicators are always alphabetical,
  even when user setting for sort order is set to "custom".

  2) The data element or indicator sort order windows (where the user
  can sort the elements) list the elements in the opposite order with
  the element with sort order 1 at the bottom of the list ( I hope this
  is not intended). The elements are actually sorted in this list
  though, and reflect the values of the sortorder field in the data
  element and indicator tables in the database.

I created as calculated data element using 2 other data elements. I
tried to delete the data element but it would not delete. I edited and
then removed the 2 data elements but the 'Calculated' check box remained
greyed out and so could not uncheck. Data element will not save and
still cannot be deleted. Attempt to delete does not give any error
message, it just does not delete. There should be some error message
stating why the data element could not be deleted
