[Dhis2-devs] Troubleshoot DHIS2 Admin account -- DHIS2 2.25

2017-10-15 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear Community,

I would like to have some advice to troubleshoot the account where the
orgunits at lower level (inside red rectangle) are displayed at the same
hierarchy as the higher level. The two accounts have admin access to DHIS2
(2.25). There are some illustrations of the Maintenance (Organisation Unit)
App.

The following picture illustrates the account to troubleshoot: The
orgunits at lower level (inside red rectangle) are always displayed at the
same hierarchy as the higher level.

The following picture illustrates the correct appearance of the OrgUnit
hierarchy with the other account.

I thought to delete the account with the abnormal behaviour and re-create
it afterwards, but I am not sure if there are some associated parameters
associated with this account (saved favorites, ...) that will be deleted
with it?

Best,

Tantely.

2017-09-16 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
No, there is any error message. This is happening when accessing to the
data entry app in DHIS2 web, for this single parent OrgUnit. I have tried
to clear browser cache, change to another computer, but same thing.
However, all the children OrgUnits are listed when accessing in the DHIS2
Android data capture. I have also checked the Data Integrity app but there
is any anomaly.

Dear Community,

Do you know the possible cause for a parent OrgUnit with which we could not
drill down to access to the lowest OrgUnit in the data entry app (could not
unfold the plus sign)? When looking at the OrgUnit maintenance, all
ancestors, the parent itself and the lowest level OrgUnits seem to be all
okay. This is happening for this single parent OrgUnit.

[Dhis2-devs] Setting up an yearly period: Yearly September

2017-09-07 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear DHIS2 Community,

Is there a way to create a new group for the data agregation period ? In
DHIS2, there is already the following period option:

Financial Oct: Financial year period beginning on October 1st and ending on
September 30st of the calendar next year.

I would like to set up a new one for Yearly September: Year period
beginning on September 1st and ending on August 31st of the calendar next
year?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Best,

Tantely.

[Dhis2-devs] Create additional customized OrgUnits attributes

2017-09-05 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear DHIS2 Community,

While managing OrgUnit (Add, Edit), we have the following fields appearing
on the edition form (using DHIS2 2.25):

Parent organisation unit

Name (*)

Short name (*)

Code

Description

Opening date (*)

Closed date

Comment

URL

Contact person

Address

Email

Phone number

Latitude

Longitude

In the case I would use another customized attributes for the OrgUnit, how
to create and define that field, for it to appear in the edition form?
Would it then be possible to upload the information via CSV import into the
new customized field, or via Web API in a batch context?

Thank you for your input!

Hi Barnabas,

Thank you for this straightforward workaround. Would it then possible via
SQL view (or another way?) to transfer the existing data of the old DE to
the new one? By doing so, we can also set the empty value to an hypothetic
one, so that the new DE won't contain any null value.

I need to delete data values based on some datasets and each corresponding
completeness. I can delete all the data values by importing “null” data
from csv format, but with this, the completeness do not change. My question
is what is the simplest way to do the data values deletion and
simultaneously make the change in the completeness information.

All your suggestions are welcome!

Best,

Tantely.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Setting "zeroissignificant" column from csv file import does not work -- DHIS2 2.25

2017-05-25 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear Alex,

Thank you for your suggestion! While trying to run the SQL script I get the
following error message: "SQL query contains illegal keywords" when
bringing the "zeroissignificant" field name in the script, even closing it
between brackets. Here it is:

update dataelement
set [zeroissignificant] = true
where lastupdated::date ='2017-05-25';

Thanks,

Tantely.

[Dhis2-devs] Setting "zeroissignificant" column from csv file import does not work -- DHIS2 2.25

2017-05-25 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear DHIS2 community,

When doing data elements upload from csv file (both add new or edit
existing) we are using the following csv file structure:

*Name, uid, code, shortname, description, formname, domaintype, valuetype,
aggregationtype, **zeroissignificant*

The last field is set to *true* for numeric data element as we would like
to store zero data values. As shown in the image below, the checkbox still
has to be checked manually.

Is there some step that I am missing, or should I use another syntax for
this last column. I have to update hundreds of data elements.

Your suggestions are welcome!

Regards,

Tantely.

If I would like to bypass this SQL scripts and use the Web API as you
already proposed, how could we write the Web API in order to pull out a
list of the following informations from the users:

username, surname, firstname, email, phonenumber, lastlogin, created,
disabled, user role, user orgunits

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Problem loading pivot table results

2017-04-05 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi Jan, Jason,

Thank you for this suggestion! Clicking on csv under update is working! It
is giving the raw data with only the selected dataelements in the query in
the left side. It seems interesting, I only have to build the
crosstabulation in the spreadsheet.

Also, could you please mention the step-by-step way in order to change the
parameters in the browser JS console to handle a big URL? Or it will affect
system stability? I am using Mozilla Firefox.

Tantely.

[Dhis2-devs] Lock dataset for data entry

2017-03-16 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear Community,

While editing dataSet, I am giving the "Expiry days" value in order to lock
the dataset for further entry, with DHIS2 2.24. I have put a value of 60 in
order to have the dataset unlocked for the 2 last months. But the dataset
is still open for data entry for all periods. Did I do wrong or is there
another parameter I should tune in order to do that?

Thank you already for your support!

Best,

Thank you for sharing the alternative way using API. Is it possible to go

That will also be helpful!

[Dhis2-devs] Period name based on startdate or enddate?

2017-02-15 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
DearCommunity,

We are running SQL code to output data from the SQL View module. We get the
following table for an organization unit accross multiple periods
containing results with *startdate* and *enddate*. We have set up the
period to "*Monthly*".

In order to output the Period name (i.e. January 2017 or 201701), shoud we
consider the sartdate or enddate (from period table)? Here in this example,
we could observe the month repeating both for startdate and enddate. In our
understanding, each value for each category should be unique for each
month. Or is there another table containing already the period name that we
have to base the SQL query?

[Dhis2-devs] Output Raw Data in a matrix format -- DHIS2 2.24

2017-02-14 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear Community,

With DHIS2 2.24, I am trying to output raw data in a matrix format. I have
used SQL View to output the data. Data values table is presented as
following:

*orgUnit UID, dataElement1, Value, Period*

*orgUnit UID, dataElement2, Value, Period*

*orgUnit UID, dataElement3, Value, Period*

*orgUnit UID, dataElement4, Value, Period*

*...*

I have used the following code:

select dv.sourceid as organisationunitid, ou.name, ou.shortname, ou.code as
CodeAC, de.name as intitule, pe.startdate, pe.enddate,
coc.categoryoptioncomboname, dv.value from datavalue dv inner join
organisationunit ou on (dv.sourceid=ou.organisationunitid) inner join
dataelement de on (dv.dataelementid=de.dataelementid) inner join period pe
on (pe.startdate='2016-02-01') inner join _categoryoptioncomboname coc on
(dv.categoryoptioncomboid=coc.categoryoptioncomboid) where dv.dataelementid
in (select dataelementid from datasetmembers where datasetid in (select
datasetid from dataset where name='dataSetName'));

I would like to output “raw data” for each orgUnit as following:

*orgUnit UID, dataElement1, Value, dataElement2, Value, dataElement3,
Value, dataElement4, Value, Period*

*...*

I have used pivot tables , but it is each time doing data agregation of the
dataElement.

How should I arrange the SQL code in order to have this result?

Kind Regards,

Tantely.

used SQL View to output the data. Data values table is presented as
following:

*orgUnit UID, dataElement1, Value, Period*

*orgUnit UID, dataElement2, Value, Period*

*orgUnit UID, dataElement3, Value, Period*

*orgUnit UID, dataElement4, Value, Period *

*...*

I would like to output “raw data” for each orgUnit as following:

*orgUnit UID, dataElement1, Value, dataElement2, Value, dataElement3,
Value, dataElement4, Value, Period*

*...*

I have used pivot tables , but it is each time doing data agregation of the
dataElement.

I would like to have your support for the SQL code that I should run to
obtain this result.

With Kind Regards,

Tantely.

Dear Lars,

Thank you for those new development that have been newly introduced which
are interesting. So for version 2.24, if we output raw data through SQL
View, is it possible to integrate the results into dashboards?

orgUnits and periods per row) at the lowest level of orgUnits. In which way
should I do that as data in text format could not be displayed through
pivot table?

Thank you for your support!

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Tables for SQL queries -- indicators

2017-02-05 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear Jason,

Thank you for this information. I will adapt the calculations from
dataElements then. It is a bit hard to output from the analytics as we need
the values of specific indicators of all the lowest level of orgUnits
across all periods, so we need to split the queries into orgUnits / periods.

With Kind Regards,

Tantely.

following code:

select dv.sourceid as organisationunitid, ou.name, ou.shortname, ou.code as
CodeAC, de.name as intitule, pe.startdate, pe.enddate,
coc.categoryoptioncomboname, dv.value from datavalue dv inner join

dataelement de on (dv.dataelementid=de.dataelementid) inner join period pe
on (pe.startdate='2016-09-01') inner join _categoryoptioncomboname coc on
(dv.categoryoptioncomboid=coc.categoryoptioncomboid) where
(dv.dataelementid in (select dataelementid from datasetmembers where
datasetid in (select datasetid from dataset where name='DataSetName')));

2.24). I would like to have all the information of all the levels of the
orgUnits for each of the 6 levels implemented. I would like to have a
result in the following form:

orgUnitName (level6), orgUnitName (level5), orgUnitName (level4),
orgUnitName (level3), orgUnitName (level2), orgUnitName (level1)

I have used the following code to output all the information of the level 6:

SELECT organisationunit.organisationunitid, organisationunit.uid,
organisationunit.code, organisationunit.name, organisationunit.shortname
FROM public.organisationunit, public._orgunitstructure WHERE
organisationunit.organisationunitid = _orgunitstructure.idlevel6 AND
organisationunit.code is not null;

How should I update this code in order to pull out the desired output?

Thank you for your support!

Best,

Tantely

[Dhis2-devs] Interpret and troubleshoot log-ERROR

2016-09-21 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear DHIS2 Community,

I have this kind of errors (cf. attached file) which are repeating all the
timein the DHIS2 log file. Could you please explain what may cause them and
how to troubleshoot? The DHIS2 webapp is running fine, but we should be
aware of any kind of error happening in the log file. Here are the versions
we are using: DHIS2 2.19, Tomcat 8.5, Java 1.7.

Your suggestions are welcome!

[Dhis2-devs] DHIS2 2.19 Data entry unable to load DataSet

2016-09-20 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi All,

I would like to have your advice on troubleshooting these issues:

-In the DHIS2 data entry web module, once an OrgUnit is selected, any
DataSet could not be loaded (running loading status eternally)

-In the Android data capture, the user is loading the list of OrgUnits for
a very long time. The process is terminated by the message "Swipe to
Update".

Is there some parameters that I should consider in order to fix them?

Thank you for your support.

Regards.

[Dhis2-devs] DHIS2 Network Out

2016-09-12 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi All,

We are using DHIS2 2.19 and it was working really fine for several months.
We have followed the HISP recommendations for the JVM parameters and the
PostgreSQL memory tunning. We noticed few days ago a slow access to our
DHIS2 server on Amazon from web version as well as from data capture. When
checking the status, the server CPU is constantly running at 100%. We would
like to have your advice on the possible sources of the errors. I note that
Amazon has upgraded the Linux system to a newer version (2016.03). Does
this change have impact on the installation of Tomact and postgreSQL? I am
attaching the DHIS2 log file which is containing several errors.

We are stuck, your help are welcome!

Regards,

Tantely.

[Dhis2-devs] Groups - Tables

2016-09-11 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear Members,

I am looking for 3 database tables:

1- the table where are stored all organization units groups with the list
of their members.
2- the table where are stored the datasets assigned to the organization
units
3- the table where are stored the organization units assigned to all users

Does anyone know in which tables should I query to select and update their
records? I am using DHIS2 2.19 and I connect to the DHIS2 database directly
with psql.

Thank you for your advice.

Regards,

Tantely.

2016-08-05 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear All,

I would like to ask if someone has already experinced a batch assignation
of dataset to organization units directly in DHIS2 database? I have 10
datasets to assign to a thousands of orguints (which will vary in time)
and it will be time consuming if using the Data Set Assignment Editor
manually. Your suggestions are welcome.

I am using DHIS2 2.19.

Thank you for your support.

Summary of the "Reports" module. So may be my question is falling in a
limitation of the version DHIS2 2.19.

Data stored there however will not be available for visualization or other

[Dhis2-devs] Store external spreadheet-like data in DHIS2

2016-07-25 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear Community,

I would like to use DHIS2, in addition to its classic uses (data capture,
data analysis and reporting,...), to store a tabular data that is sourced
from MS Excel spreadsheet (or probably from another database) without any
link to organization unit, period or dataset. Would it be possible to
integrate this tabular data directly into a dashboard? Or should I still
prepare all the data elements to receive the spreadsheet cells values? Or
what would be the best way to use the DHIS2 database to store the
spreadsheet-like data? I plan to make this spreadsheet to be available in
DHIS2 for the users to visualize or to download.

Your suggestions are welcome.

Ragards,

Tantely.

[Dhis2-devs] Update datavalues / metadata from SQL

2016-07-21 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi All,

I am looking for links or documentations on interacting with DHIS2 database
from the SQL Shell commands. For instance, when I would like to UPDATE,
DELETE or ADD some records values, do I only run the SQL command on the
"datavalue" table or also on all linked tables? Same thing when making
changes on metadata to make some UPDATE, DELETE or ADD some organization
units.

Thank you for your support.

[Dhis2-devs] Connect to DHIS2 with slow internet connection

2016-07-21 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi All,

I am just wondering if, in addition to the database memory tuning of DHIS2,
is there an additional parameter to check in the server to allow the users
of "DHIS2 data capture" to log in and download datasets and then send the
entered data easily even with slow internet connection? Sometimes they
could not log into the server, sometimes after logging in, there is only a
message "swipe to update".

Thank you for your support,

Does someone have experimented disabling data editing after a certain

you do then to allow some users do the editing of certain data values
(after data quality assessments), once the editing has been disabled?

[Dhis2-devs] Output from Orgunits and Orgunits Group

2016-07-14 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear All,

I am asking if someone has already done, in the pivot table, a single
display of the list of organization units with the name of the organization
unit group where they belong to. In pivot table, I have used the “select
groups” in the selection mode during the selection of the organization
units. The output result I get is only showing the list of the organization
units that belong to the selected group and there is no way to output the
name of the selected group itself in this result. I have tried to show the
organization units hierarchy in the pivot table options but it only output
the names of all orgunits in the hierarchy.

All suggestions are welcome. DHIS2 2.19.

[Dhis2-devs] Zero reporting rates for dataset with imported data values

2016-07-13 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi All,

I have imported a large amount of data values by uploading via csv file
with monthly periods of a specific dataset (with DHIS 2.19). I thought that
when calculating the reporting rate of this dataset, the report should
return the number of actual reports containing values that I have just
uploaded, but the number of this “actual reports” is now still counted as
ZERO. My question is, in that case, is there a specific field in the
database that I should update in order to consider the dataset containing
data values in the reporting rates count? Here is the list of fields that I
have used during the import: *dataelement*, *period*, *orgunit*,
*categoryoptioncombo*, *attributeoptioncombo*, *value*, *storedby*,
*lastupdated*, *comment*, *followup*

Thank you for your help!

With DHIS2 2.19, something strange is happening on the questionnaire
assignation. Some organization units have a status of non-assigned
questionnaire after the assignation of all questionnaires to all
organisation units. That was happening three times and we are wondering
what may cause this situation and how to troubleshoot it?

[Dhis2-devs] DHIS2 SQL View - practical examples

2016-07-05 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi All,

I am looking for a documentation of the use of the SQL syntax to run in SQL
View (table names, field names specific to DHIS2 ). I have seen for
example to query organization unit, we have to select from “ou” or to use
“dv” to select the datavalues. I am planning to list all the uid, code and
names of all organization units at all levels (1 to 6) in one single query
result.

Thank you for your support.

2016-06-17 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi All,

Thank you for your points of view. I am just wondering on this disk
capacity issue. We are using a cloud Amazon Web services to host the DHIS2
application. There are 80 gigabyte disk space used only by DHIS2. There are
30 gigabyte of RAM where 9 GB are for JVM and 9 GB for postgreSQL. My
question is that which parameters should I correct to troubleshoot this
disk issue as physically there is still large available disk space on the
server, or is there other parameters to allocate the physical disk space
(in addition to the RAM) managed by JVM?

Thank you.

[Dhis2-devs] OrgUnit conflicts

2016-05-19 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hi All,

I would like to have your advice on how to fix the following issues:

- The first point is that after the creation of users who are entering data
through DHIS2 data capture, each of them has the following warning (409
conflict) when logging in the web interface mentioning that the user is not
allowed to view the org unit with an org unit UID that I could not locate
in the database (through SQL view). How to troubleshoot this issue?

-The second point is when using the reporting rate app, I am summarizing
the report by the administrative commune level (level 5 in the org unit
hierarchy). Instead of having 3 total of expected reports (red circle), the
app is counting the level 5 itself so the total expected reports become 4
(as illustrated in the image below), which is false. Are there some
parameters that I should set to fix this issue?

I am using DHIS2 2.19.

Thank you for your help.

Hello Erling,

I am using the one downloaded from Google Play, and have dispatched the use
of it for 100+ users. Some users find some difficulty to load the forms
from the Android data capture. They can log in but it takes time to load
the form and it ends with the message "swipe to update". I have tried to
solve it multiple times but there is no chance to load any form for them.
That is why I would like to try with an older version of the APK. Or do you
have another suggestions for this issue?

Regards,

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] ERRORS reported by the log file

2016-04-25 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear Morten,

Thank you for your answer.

For ERROR 1: I have made an SQL select (in DHIS2) to find the the orgunit
with the mentioned uid but it does not appear in the list. It is something
strange as all the organisation units are listed in the query output.

For ERROR 2: It does not happen for all users. This error can appear
elsewhere in the logfile, without knowing the command which might cause it.
Running with incognito window did not make the error happen.

I am still stuck on this.

Regards.

[Dhis2-devs] ERRORS reported by the log file

2016-04-25 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Dear All,

I would like to ask your support in ordre to fix the following errors:

*ERROR 1*

I have created a list of data entry users to use the android data capture
app. When they are accessing their account through the DHIS2 web interface,
the server is returning a pop-up message mentioning “409 conflict, the user
is not allowed to view org unit: ky58tsXe83tn”. Here what is telling the
log file at that time:

* INFO 2016-04-22 10:48:11,751 Login success for user: 'dhis131miari', ip:
'172.31.28.246' (DefaultUserAuditService.java [http-bio-8080-exec-11530])

* ERROR 2016-04-22 10:49:44,229 Initialised statement manager
(StatementInterceptor.java [http-bio-8080-exec-11507])

* ERROR 2016-04-22 10:49:44,371 Initialised statement manager
(StatementInterceptor.java [http-bio-8080-exec-11507])

*ERROR 2*

The log file error which is attached with this message is occurring
repeatedly and I would like some advice on how to get rid of it.

I am using DHIS2 2.19 - Java 7

[Dhis2-devs] DHIS2 crashes during login

2016-03-21 Thread Raminosoa Rabemanantsoa, Tantely
Hello everyone,

I am a new user of DHIS2. I am working with a DHIS2 application that has
already been installed last year inside an Amazon cloud web server. The
version that we have is DHIS2 2.19. The Tomcat version is 1.7. All the data
elements, organization unit and questionnaires have been integrated into
the system.

We are observing odd situation such as Tomcat is crashing each time a
couple of users (15+) are accessing DHIS2 simultaneously, especially when
they are using the DHIS2 Data Capture within tablets. DHIS2 is only back
after restarting Tomcat.

Do you know the Server and JVM memory specifications that are recommended
to expect about 300 concurrent DHIS2 users?

Here are some Java environment variables and server caracteristics that we
are using:

Java opts: -Xms1024m -Xmx2048m -XX:PermSize=256m
-XX:MaxPermSize=512m

Java version: 1.7.0_91

OS name:Linux

OS architecture:amd64

OS version:4.1.10-17.31.amzn1.x86_64

Server memory:Mem Total in JVM: 1243 Free in JVM: 547 Max Limit: 1820

CPU cores:2

Server RAM: 3.75 G

Thank you for your support!

Tantely.
