[Dhis2-devs] Android Tracker Capture app doen not allow complete on hidden mandatory fields

2017-11-09 Thread Absolom MURAMIRA
Dear Developers,
We are using the DHIS2 Tracker capture app compatible with v2.27 to conduct a
survey. The survey design has some skip logic integrated in the tool and
program stage. Most of the questions are mandatory but for example if the
person is not available for the assessment, the enumerator selects not assessed
and the jump hides the other mandatory fields and then the enumerator is
supposed to complete the event. This was tested using the browser and it works
perfectly well however when using the app, it hides the fields but does not
allow to complete the event and reports that there are missing mandatory fields.
The work around is to flag this and wait for the app to sync and we complete
the event from the browser which takes more time.

Kindly advise me if there is a better way i can accomplish this or if it is
something that hasn't been supported yet. Thank you.

[Dhis2-devs] ANDROID TRACKER CAPTURE NOT SYNCHING WITH DHIS2

2017-04-11 Thread Stanley Kalyati
Am using DHIS2 2.25 latest build.Until this weekend wheneven i enrolled a
tracked entity in my program i would instantly find the client on my
android app where i would then enter data in the stages outline.

But us of today, all those enrolled in the program can not be found when i
search using the Android Tracker Capture.

Anyone having an idea as to what could cause this.

Thank you

Stanley

Re: [Dhis2-devs] ANDROID TRACKER CAPTURE

2016-11-02 Thread Erling Fjelstad
You shouldn't need to check the 'External authentication'.
Android Tracker Capture from Google Play should work for DHIS 2.24 and
2.25. If you're using a earlier version of DHIS2 then you'll need to
download an APK from GitHub.

Can you check that you've assigned programs to the organisation unit? Go to
programs app in DHIS2 -> Click on your program -> Assign to Organisation
unit -> Select your organisation unit(s).

Re: [Dhis2-devs] ANDROID TRACKER CAPTURE

2016-11-02 Thread Stanley Kalyati
Erling,

All that has been done.

Maybe should i Check the "External authentication only (OpenID or LDAP)" ?
Does this have any effect?

Or maybe i should download somewhere else other than the Google Play for
the Android tracker Capture?

The user is a Superuser who has access to all programs.

[Dhis2-devs] Android Tracker Capture update

2016-07-26 Thread Erling Fjelstad
Hi everyone,

The Android team just released a new version of the Tracker Capture(version
0.3.14-2.24) to Google Play. This application is targeting DHIS 2.24 and
have the following new functionality:

- We have implemented a left hand side navigation menu which allows linking
to other DHIS 2 Android applications that is installed on the device, but
also in-app navigation.

- We have developed a new search button on the main screen. This is the
local detailed search which allows you to search on the combination of
tracked entity attributes to find your tracked entity instance.

- We have introduced a loading dialog which blocks user interaction while
program rules is calculating. This prevents users to enter or see data
elements which should be hidden, but is shown in some few milliseconds
(depending on the device and amount of program rules).

- We have better in-app user feedback. The app will let you know if you
don't have any organisation units assigned to user or a program is not
assigned to a organisation unit (This was the most frequent question we get
on the mailing list). Also the app is showing loading progress when
downloading tracked entity instances from the server.

- We have implemented a tool that helps us to see crash statistics. This
means that we can faster develop fixes if the app crashes and we don't
depend on the user reporting the crash to Google Play or at the mailing
list. It will also help us to discover crashes for those of you that is not
installing from Google Play.

- When downloading one tracked entity instance from the server, the app
will open the tracked entity instance dashboard automatically

- The tracked entity instance profile fragment asks if you want to discard
or save changes if you want to go back without pressing the save button

- Data entry rows of type checkbox is clickable from the whole row. This
means that you don't need to press the small checkbox.

- Data entry rows of type "text" or "long text" is auto capitalised on the
first letter.

- Performance improvements

- Bug fixes

If you have any questions about this, don't hesitate to ask. Also if you
have any feature requests, feel free to ask and we can discuss.

Regards,
Erling - DHIS2 Android Team
