[Dhis2-devs] Reporting Rate Summary

2018-05-10 Thread gerald thomas
Dear All,
I am trying to understand 'Reporting Rate Summary'. Basically a 'Reporting
Rate Summary' are reports which are: Based on complete data set
registration or Based on compulsory data elements per a particular data set.

Question:
If a facility let say "A" doesn't have a data for that particular month we
are reporting them as zeros(0) because data is not available which i think
should be (NA) whilst for a particular data element we are giving it a
zero(0); this time report is available but the counts are zeros(0).

Please i want to know how other countries are reporting their not available
values? Are they still looking at both instances of zeros as zero and
analyze those data for actual or expected reports under 'Reporting Rate
Summary'.
Please colleagues can you share your concepts how these zeros (not
available values and counts whose values are zeros) are address on your
instances.

Thanx Lars.

In this case I assume we can only use compulsory data elements to assess
the completeness. Will use that as a work around.

Hi Pamod,

the "reporting rate summary" under reports is not available in the Web API.

What you can do is to create a pivot table or chart from pivot table app or
data visualizer app, and then access those through the API or put it on the
dashboard.

That will only give you percentages, not no of reports etc. We are working
on that.

regards,

Lars

[Dhis2-devs] Reporting Rate Summary: Calculating Completeness Rate over multiple periods based on Compulsory Data Elements

2015-11-09 Thread Joseph K. Osborn

Hi developers and all,

We have a use case where compulsory data elements have been defined for
calculating completeness rates. This is for a monthly data set. When we run the
report by month, this works perfectly. In our case, 4 data elements captured =
1 completed report. However when you run the same report over multiple periods,
say, quarterly, the calculation is slightly confounding. For instance,
completeness is calculated on the basis of Period 1 AND Period 2 AND Period 3
compulsory data elements captured. So in a scenario where I have completed the
compulsory data elements for Period 1 and 2 but not 3, this is calculated as 0
reported rather than 2/3.

Can someone suggest how we could accommodate the alternative logic which I
have in the attached file with screenshots and explanations?

This issue continues to be a problem for us. We rely
on the obligatory data report to track if people are effectively sending their
data to the server. (As a sidenote, we do believe that they are entering
the data!)

We need to be able to calculate this report on a quarterly and
six-monthly basis; no matter what the individual reports say, the answer always
comes back zero.

Many thanks.

Kind regards.

Hi Busoye,

made a fix, you can now access future years in reporting rates summary (and
future periods within the current year for other period types) in trunk,
2.18 and 2.17.

I understand that future periods have been implemented in the Pivot Table

I think bringing the reporting rate summary functionalities into the
integrated analysis tools would be ideal. This would include an option to
select completeness by compulsory DE. However, for now, what is the best
