I buy too many books as a student but would love to learn web dev in D. I think you can buy the eBook (when offered cheap as recently) and then use the "Upgrade to Print" option. I prefer to buy physical copies, but ebooks are good for portability or quickly looking something up. My dream is to have an entire shelf on my bookcase dedicated to D, and it's slowly becoming a reality.
