Great news Leigh, I wasn't sure of the actual requirements and thanks for that update, heard WD4KPD calling CQ on 7090 and could not help it and called him back, we tried all of the modes both clocked and unclocked and running just 10 watts between FL and NC we had a very nice QSO. Looks like we have a new toy! Ron W4LDE Leigh L Klotz, Jr. wrote: >Ron, >It doesn't have to be published on the ARRL site, just published. Re: [digitalradio] Re: new digital modes CHIP64 and CHIP128 by IZ8BLY
Paul, I wasn't a worried and ran the .exe file and it correctly loaded the software. There is no help file at this time. If you used Nino's other great programs then it is easy to get around and at this time looks complete, just wish I had more info! The really big issue is will the source code be published so we can use the software legally? Does anyone know if it is FCC type accepted? If we remember there was a lot of discussion regarding the early use of the software "OLIVIA" and it was finally published on the ARRL site if my memory is good, and thus became accepted. My only concern other than that is what this mode really is, bandwidth? et. Ron W4LDE Paul wrote: >All I got was the zip file that expanded to one .exe file. Re: [digitalradio] what is that signal on 7090
John, Most QSO you hear on 7090 are "OLIVIA", some MT-63 but if it was in the night time most likely it was either W3OQ, N3WT, W1OER, DX and others. Please come join in the fun, A great free-ware program, MultiPSK, provides just about all of the current sound-card digital modes plus some. The QSO's are on USB using the 500Hz shift centered on 750Hz. Join in its a great low power bad band condition digital mode.
