RE: [digitalradio] Remote CW over the internet
We use TeamSpeak for doing stuff like this. It has the lowest latency of any VoIP program we've tried! http://www.goteamspeak.com/ 73 - Bill KA8VIT To: digitalradio@yahoogroups.com From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Mon, 28 Jul 2008 23:22:14 + Subject: [digitalradio] Remote CW over the internet My setup is basically a PC with digital mode software, Interface and Radio. I am experimenting with Log-Me-In software to operate my base station PC over the internet. At present I can operate the digital modes such as PSK over the internet from the remote PC. In the case of CW, I am looking for for a means of passing CW audio from the RX back to the remote location. 73 Stan Announce your digital presence via our Interactive Sked Page at http://www.obriensweb.com/sked Check our other Yahoo Groups http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dxlist/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/contesting http://groups.yahoo.com/group/themixwgroup Yahoo! [digitalradio] TARA Grid Dip PSK/RTTY Shindig Contest - Aug 2nd @ 00:00UTC
TARA ( Troy Amateur Radio Association) from Troy, NY is proud to announce the 6th annual running of the Grid Dip PSK/RTTY Shindig contest to be held on August 2, 2008 @ 00:00 UTC. This also serves as the first of four contests for the 2008/2009 TARA Tour'ney. Check out the Tour'ney info at: _http://www.n2ty.org/seasons/tara_tourney.html_ (http://www.n2ty.org/seasons/tara_tourney.html) This is a really great mid summer contest that allows all of us to sharpen our skills for the really big events this coming fall/winter. Plus, I'm sure a few of you have been working on the antenna farm or making changes to the shack and this contest can serve as a shake down run for you. We'd really like to see the participation from the RTTY op's to increase this time so we can get some RTTY verses PSK chatter happening. After all we don't want to see the PSK'ers having all this fun by themselves now, do we! Seriously, we really need to have more representation from the RTTY folks for this contest. I know it's not as challenging or action packed as the RTTY Roundup or some of the other major RTTY contests but that doesn't mean you still can't have some fun. So what do you say. How about dusting off the old 'green keys' for a little bit come this weekend. If anyone needs any information feel free to contact TARA's Grid Dip Manager, Tony Heatwole, N3FX at [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) He'll be more than glad to assist you in any way that he can. If I can be of any service simply drop me an email at [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) and I too will be more than glad to assist you. Also, keep in mind you DO NOT have to worry about paper logs and mailing them in. Nope! We have our very own online score submission system for all to use. Sending your score in has never been so easy. Although, you should ALWAYS save a copy of your contest log in case the contest committee ever needed to review it, should a problem arise. Please see our web site now for the full details. Go to: _http://www.n2ty.org/seasons/tara_grid_rules.html_ (http://www.n2ty.org/seasons/tara_grid_rules.html) Thanks for reading this message. I recently learned about MMVari by Makato Mori and was surprised to learn that it was released some time ago. Guess these things can slip under the radar. The MMVari MFSK31 mode has PLENTY of speed for those quick on the keyboard. It is less sensitive and robust than MFSK16, but throughput seems good under 'average' conditions. [digitalradio] 8 Years Ago This Week ! Winwarbler New PSk31 program out!
--- In digitalradio@yahoogroups.com, Andrew J. O'Brien [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: WinWarbler utilizes the PSK engine developed by Moe Wheatley, AE4JY; by encapsulating his expertise in a reusable component, Moe has reduced the time required to develop a PSK31 application to a few days (including a couple of transatlantic flights). The WinWarbler installation package includes version 1.05 of Moe's PSKCore.DLL. You can download WinWarbler 1.0 from http://www.qsl.net/winwarbler/ - consider this a beta release, as testing to date has been limited to a dozen QSOs; defect reports, comments, and suggestions will be gratefully accepted. WinWarbler's online help is provided in HTML, which you can evaluate at http://www.qsl.net/winwarbler/Help/ before downloading the entire package. WinWarbler is written in Visual Basic; source code will be made available for non-commercial use at the completion of the beta period. 73, Dave, AA6YQ --- End forwarded message ---
[digitalradio] Online HF Receivers?
All, Anyone know of any online receivers / remote base stations on the internet? The W4MQ remote base seems to be having problems these days. Often use remotes on HF/VHF for meteor scatter / digital mode tests. Thanks, Tony, K2MO
