[digitalradio] PTT lockup FT-2600M Packet
Hello, Anyone have this occur to them? Our packet group is working on our system and this has come up. " have the Yasue FT-2600M wired up and ready to go but cannot get the ptt key from the db9 on the back of this radio. I think it is something in the programing. I checked and the tx was locked. I turned it off and now the ptt will key the radio from the mic jack in the front of the radio but not from the db9 packet jack in the rear. If you know anything about the 2600m perhaps you can tell me what to do." I have told my group member to check the cards in the radio for a good ground. 73
[digitalradio] QST submission on RS-ID
I'll draft something this weekend and send to Steve for his review. I may contact Patrick, Simon, Skip or Dave for some technical details if I need to. I worked with Steve on a couple of items for his column in the past (I think the last one was guide to JT65A on HF) . Steve sometimes likes good pictures, so I'll try to create a couple for him. When ID info is sent at the beginning or end of an SSTV transmission (in FSK), is this an example of RS ID? 73 de Dave, NF2G
[digitalradio] Use the *$%#ing RS ID! Documentation
Hello to all, Here is some information about RS ID: http://f6cte.free.fr/PAPERS.ZIP Inside this package, there is the RS_ID_English.DOC paper about digimode identifiers (and particularly RS ID). How to use the RS ID on Multipsk (for principle for non Multipsk users) http://f6cte.free.fr/The_RS_ID_easy_with_Multipsk.doc Now RS ID is implemented in FDMDV, PocketDigi, Fldigi, DM780 and Multipsk. A bit of history: I created the RS ID at the end of 2006 (Multipsk 4.1.1) and proposed a Delphi source (not documented) Vojtech (OK1IAK) has put it in C++ but with improvements as the " hashing " technique to accelerate the calculation. This Vojtech version is used for Fldigi and DM780. Cesco (HB9TLK) has also done a specific C++ version for FDMDV. Recently I proposed an improved Delphi source (documented) for SdR transceivers (to get any RS ID and Call ID within 40 KHz of bandwidth). RS ID is mainly done for exotic modes. It can be useful for new experimental mode (to easily detect it). The RS ID autocorrelation is very big, so if false decodings are theoritically possible, they are residual (I tested on 40 KHz under noise during 2 nights without false detection). More about Call ID which is an extension of RS ID: http://f6cte.free.fr/The_Call_ID_and_Prop_ID_easy_with_Multipsk.doc Let's hope that exotic (and interesting) modes be more used. 73 Patrick - Original Message - From: "aa777888athotmaildotcom" To: Sent: Tuesday, July 07, 2009 12:40 PM Subject: [digitalradio] Re: Use the *$%#ing RS ID! > --- In digitalradio@yahoogroups.com, "Simon \(HB9DRV\)" > wrote: >> >> 3) There's something called CALL-ID where you can add your call, so I >> could >> alert users that K3UK is on 20m looking for Olivia QSO's (or something >> like >> that). Who voluteers to write an article for QST? How about the exact opposite, i.e. a SELCALL equivalent, with an option to alarm on not only your call but also a list of group calls? This would make individual calls and digital net setup much easier as they could be called on any clear spot in the audio passband.
