[digitalradio] Fwd: fldigi and DBLog
Forward e-mail from Pino ZP4KFX === Hi everybody, I have just uploaded the version 0.15.2 of DBLog on http://www.qsl.net/zp4kfx/Linux/dblog.html DBLog is a logger program for Linux inspired to Logger32 and to M1NN_Logger. It works in harmony with fldigi for operating digi-modes. DBLog is UTF-8 compliant and sensitive to the 'locale'. It stores all data's in the RDBM PostgreSQL. Beyond sources for GAMBAS2 ( http://gambas.sf.net ) there are available the installation packages for Debian, OpenSuSE, Fedora, Mandriva and Ubuntu. It is also available an Autotool package. All of these need to be tested, so I invite experimenters to give it a try. Have fun ! 73 de Pino ZP4KFX ===end==

[digitalradio] One way propogation?
Few days ago I copy Javier , KH2QII/KH6 , on 14076 JT65a with peak -16dB (!) - he report that using 30 watts vertical. I try call him with 100 watts and 6 el YAGI and he told me that no copy me. Today I am CQing on 14076 and few stations on West Coast reports that copy me with no less then -20dB - but on my SpectJT no any the most fine lines execpt one from N9DSJ with peak -10dB. I am running today same 6 el YAGI beaming USA over North Pole and 50 watts. -- 73 Vlad UA6JD
[digitalradio] FLDIGI_OLIVIA
I am using FLdigi3.03.1 - which work on OLIVIA mode perefct. When I am began using FLdigi 3.11.4 it transmitt OK - but no reception on OLIVIA. I am testing RTTY - work OK. Then I am run 2 version simultaneously FLdigi3.03.1 and FLdigi3.11.4 Same story - 3.03.1 version work on rx FB - and 3.11.4 not rx OLIVIA at all. Is anyone have this problem ? I think both version of FLdigi use same set-up which store in C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\fldigi.files (WindowsXP) I am not testing on other modes - only fast see that RTTY work FB on rx/tx. Any help??? -- Vlad UA6JD
re:[digitalradio] Fldigi RSID
RSID need only on two case - when you calling CQ and in finish QSO when you asking QRZ. During QSO no need indicate RSID - because both stations know which mode they using. So it much better using INTO macros RSID as special command, then separate button 73 Vlad UA6JD All, The RSID feature in Fldigi seems to work very well. It can be setup to search the entire pass band for incoming RSID's. Just remember to click the RSID button in the upper right-hand corner to activate it. The green light means it's armed and ready for RSID reception. Fldigi will automatically switch to the mode that corresponds to the RSID being sent. For example: if the Tx station transmits CQ in MFSK32 mode with RSID, your software will automatically change to that mode providing you have the RSID activated and ready. Very useful during Mode Madness Hour! Both Multipsk and Fldigi have this feature. Tony -K2MO
