Re: [digitalradio] chip64/128
Dave, Another thought, depending on what center frequency for the audio decoding may well determine what USB transmit frequency we recommend. For those using OLIVIA on 40 meters the center of the signal is 750Hz, on 20 meters the center is 1000Hz since on 20 meters its a 1000Hz wide signal. Chip64 is a narrow signal. I recommend that we use the already used standards of 750HZ audio frequency at the given USB transmit freq. This will help to establish QSO's I will therefore start using 750Hz as the audio set and on 40 meters the display on USB will be at 7.090 to start with. A QSO can always move up or down and thus allow addition QSO's to start up. Actually with this narrow mode I am hoping it will be similar to PSK and allow many QSO's on the same frequency, have not tested the side mode rejection but it looks like its similar. Re: [digitalradio] chip64/128
Good idea Dave, that leaves 7.090 for the Olivia, MT63 users. Or we can always start there via a CQ and then QSY? PS - There is a new group on Yahoo, CHIP64 Ron David Michael Gaytko // WD4KPD wrote: >may be a little early to establish a standard but... > >monitoring several qso's on 70895 and some sigs are quite weak and >getting many errors...clocked decoder seems to be superior and am >suggesting that cq and other qso be called/worked using this decoder, >with either speed. > >what say ? > >david/wd4kpd > > > > >The K3UK DIGITAL MODES SPOTTING CLUSTER AT telnet://208.15.25.196/ >More info at http:///www.obriensweb.com > >Yahoo! may be a little early to establish a standard but... monitoring several qso's on 70895 and some sigs are quite weak and getting many errors...clocked decoder seems to be superior and am suggesting that cq and other qso be called/worked using this decoder, with either speed. what say ? david/wd4kpd Yahoo!
