Hello to all Ham and SWL, The new releases of MULTIPSK (4.3) and CLOCK (1.7.1) are in my Web site (http://f6cte.free.fr). The main mirror site is Earl's, N8KBR: http://multipsk.eqth.org/index.html (click on "United States"). Another mirror site isTerry's: http://www.hamsoft.co.uk/ Multispk associated to Clock are freeware programs but with functions submitted to a licence (by user key). The modifications of CLOCK 1.7.1 are the following: 1) possibility to decode the WWV/WWVH transmissions in SSB, this instead of an AM decoding of a 100 Hz AM carrier, 2) interface with Multidem through a TCP/IP link, now available. The main modifications of MULTIPSK 4.3 are the following: 1) Improvement of the MIL-STD-188-141A system. Some additive functions have been added. They are described hereafter: * At any moment, possibility to send a FAE APRS position, the reception of FAE APRS positions being automatic. The APRS beacon is available. * At any moment, possibility to send an AMD message (button "Send" + callsign in the combobox) to a precise Ham station, the transmitted message being stored in the radio-mail (button "Mail (RX/TX)"). * At any moment, possibility to send an ARQ FAE message (button "Send message" + callsign in the combobox) to a precise Ham station, the transmitted message (without error transmission) being stored in the radio-mail (button "Mail (RX/TX)"). * Reversely you can be called and alerted (alert for licencied versions, only) by the reception of the message for which you are the addressee, the received message being stored in the radio-mail (button "Mail (RX/TX)"). * Collective call to an open (i.e. not organized in advance) net (button "Call" + QRZ or HFL in the combobox) to establish an automatic link with several Ham stations (any Hams), the possible transmitted message being stored in the radio-mail (button "Mail"). * possibility to store in the radio mail box all the calls and all messages received on the ALE frequency (for licencied versions). 2) decoding of the mode 1382 mode. This MSK 1200 bauds professional mode is used, in VHF and UHF, by different services in France: transports, emergency... It is available for licencied copies, only (otherwise, the decoding is stopped after 5 minutes). See specifications further on. 3) addition of a possibility of a radio mails export to Outlook Express (or equivalent), Multipsk radio-mail being a POP3 server (for licencied copies), 4) improvement of the 1200 bauds Packet decoding, User key: the user key is now available as a "USER.COD" file form. This key will work, without limitation of time, for the next releases of Multipsk (version Multipsk 4.3 and more, but not inferior) and Clock (version Clock 1.7.1 and more, but not inferior). The previous "USER.TXT" user keys work as usual. For information, for all the Multipsk exotic modes (PSKFEC31, PSK10, PSKAM, PSK63F, PSK220F (+DIGISSTV), CCW-FSK, MFSK8, THROBX, DominoF, DominoEX, PAX, CHIP, Voice, Packet 110 bauds...), I propose the QRP frequency: 14075 Khz USB (AF around 1000 Hz), at 17h00 UTC. 73 Patrick 1382 This MSK 1200 bauds professional mode is used, in VHF and UHF, by emergency services, in France. Description : Baud rate : 1200. Modulation : MSK two tones (" mark " and " space ") with a shift between tones of 400 Hz (fixed tones at 1200 and 1800 Hz) Reception mode: phase modulation Character set : ASCII characters + ANSI extended characters Shape of pulse : rectangular Bandwidth : about 2 KHz Demodulation : non coherent Synchronization : automatic using the signal Detection code : yes on 15 bits + a final parity bit. Convolution code: it exists one (8,4 code) but seems not used. However, Multipsk does not decode it. Interleaving : no Pmean/Ppeak : 1 Each frame contains 64 bits. 48 of these 64 bits are used for data (8 bits by character) and 16 bits for errors detection. Each packet of frames is preceded by a sequence of 16 bits (0 and 1 alternated) for bit synchronisation. The first frame of a packet of frames is subjected to a frame synchronization sequence of 16 bits.
